Wow…And everyone wondered why I used to pay by money order…I had LESS problems when I did I can tell you that. 😛 I miss when people actually conducted business fairly no matter where you did it. 🙁

Just a quick post to let people who wander by, if I was to send a box to you, it went out today! The lady at the PO (Ofcourse my favorite lady wasn’t there! 🙄 ) was also helpful in letting me know, that I can use paypal and actually get a discount for using it, to make up shipping labels. Boy, do I sound like a n00b! So maybe I will do that and then I can just give them to the mailman, and he can take them up there for me! Then instead of waiting til I feel safe enough to drive up there…I can get them out to people much faster. Tho I did run into a snafu early this week. Also, I want to really thank anyone who takes/has taken the time to actually get to know me some. You guys mean alot to me, even if I don’t always get around to sending you an email, or even a message. *emotional kick in* Just remember I think about you all the time. *Hugs*Also, on a side note. I have had so many inquiries about this particular Keeper…If you REALLY do want one (It’ll be a while I am afraid) you need to contact me, be it through here in a PM or at my email address. ***REMEMBER this particular Keeper is not going to be EXACTLY what you will get. Those Knots were specially done for Jacki!*** The email is in the Flea Market section here on the forums, under Painters Custom Commission rates or something of the sort. My prices are on the 2nd page a little over halfway down. There are a few trades (Production, and LP) I am willing to take posted in there I believe too. Prices can be negotiated with me, the worst I can do is tell you no, but most times I am pretty flexible!
Also, anyone wanting to inquire about being put on the list. I am 15 people deep on that list right now. Just a heads up to you considering it. I am GOING to make time, if I have to stay up night and day for a month, to try and get caught up. Please be patient with me, if you are already on the list. I have NOT forgotten about you! It’s just not your turn yet! 😈 I can only paint the sculpts I have on hand at the time, and I am almost covered through what I have, just a couple shy from being able to fulfill what is on the list. I am now seeking a few small dragons, and another Keeper for people on the list. I am doing my best to get caught up. 😕 I will however be closing down the list temporarily and contacting the people on it to make sure they still are willing to wait a bit longer for what they requested. I do NOT take payment until YOU say it’s what you want (or as close as I can get to it, I will be honest), so you won’t feel that I am not doing my part to fulfill the obligation, and you don’t feel obligated if you have changed your mind during the wait. I won’t close the list for a few days so anyone desiring a “fire” Keeper can contact me, and I will add you to the list.
Also, I work on a few pieces at a time, so if you know I am working on yours, and you don’t see it for a while with anything new…Don’t worry, I am still working on it! 8)
Plus I may be putting the Dark Phoenix Griffin back on sale in the flea market…Just an FYI…I will know hopefully for sure by next Monday. Just for refresher purposes this is “Dark Phoenix”…

It’s funny how we notice the stuff in the background when it’s one of our favorite sculpts isn’t it? 😉

6.25 inches. Not quite as tall as a Griffin. The Ki-Rin is a lot thinner bodied though. They are fun if you like smooth surfaces. Wonder why I haven’t been tempted to paint some weird picture on one of them yet. 😈 *soooo tiny*

Don’t you hate that?!?! That is what probably drives me the most nuts around here. I see it one way, but then it changes a hair this way or that, and then again…My layouts always look quite a bit different than the actual end product, but mostly for the best. LOL 😆

Yes he is…He is more than cool! He is more than awesome! Scott made fun of me cuz I was grinning past the stage of ear to ear when I turned to him and said, “What do you think?!?!?!”. Scott likes him alot too. He says is it done? I said not yet. He said wow! LOLI like the blue on that Griffin! But then again, I am partial to Griffins…And all of them might I add. 😳
Those marbled PYO’s are freakin’ cool! I especially like the pastel Ki-Rin. 😀

The most amazing part (seems silly I know) but I can see every thread like line in between every surface, scale, EVERYWHERE! It’s not even like being antiqued, it’s like it was drawn on a piece of paper as an ink drawing and the line art was brought to life.
Funny you should say this…Nothing is antiqued on him at all. I just love the carbon black by Golden! Once you put a clear coat over it, it just pops those details out nicely, and picks up a blue reflection, pretty much wherever you put the sculpt. It reminds me of the color Jet black. (I use satin and gloss…I don’t know why but matte bothers me. I don’t use it unless someone requests it. It fuzzes detailing to my eye.)
I actually have to contact the next person who wants one of these…Jacki enjoys the OOAK pieces, and would prefer none were done EXACTLY like this one, which is really no problem as she will be the only one to have the Celtic suns and knots on the wings. She is a fan of the deeper bluer reds, and the next time around, I’d like to use a brighter red. And I’d like also to switch around the yellows and reds, although I don’t know if the yellow next to the copper would wash the whole effect out, so I will have to see. Break out the black construction paper and test my theories before I say yea or nay. I do have to say though, of all the different sculpts I have painted, the Keeper is the only one who intrigues me enough to even think I might enjoy antiquing one. 🙂 (Yes, I still hate antiquing! :puke: )Thanks for all the amazing compliments! I so enjoy people’s feedback! Also, sometimes, it’s nice if someone says, ‘Hey how about this?!’ Or, “You may want to try that.”. 😉 Constructive criticism is always welcome!

I have a VERY visual imagination with colors. Tons of books on natural life, trips to the aquarium, brid watching, garden growing, it all feeds this. When you expose yourself and take note of colors in life, your imagination goes wild. Sunsets combined with the stripes of a fish, Tigers meet cold blooded iguana’s, Butterflies can be combined WITH flowers. The patterns of animals, the colorful flash of plants. You have an infinate number of possible combinations.
Of course, sugestions and the ideas of commissioners always helps 🙂
You have an awesome imagination too! That is why it shows so well in your work! And why alot of us swoon over it! 😉 Seeing colors like you do is a real gift, and you have learned to use it very well! 😀 😀
