Also want to add because I feel it’s valuable knowledge: To anyone making payments-please make sure you know and trust both your seller and your buyer. Paypal does not cover split payments, so if you are paying on a $500 item, and you’ve made, let’s say a $50 deposit, and then 3 more payments of $100 each and the seller disappears, you are out $300
Sorry to hear that Wolfen. You don’t deserve that and anyone who puts you down probably just wants you to look bad so they can feel better about themselves. So you liked it better where you were before? Maybe it would be good to try and find something else in the next couple months where you can use your skills and where people will treat you better and respect you. That’s odd that would switch people when one hasn’t passed an exam? I have had bad experiences with past employers as well and if I didn’t like my experience I found something else. It’s not worth it to stay and let them get you down unless they realize their own faults and change which is unlikely.
Well the problem is that if you do one thing wrong, you get a big blame. I was in the restroom one day and my boss came looking for me. She went to my co-worker (who has been there the longest 5 years) and asked where I was. She didn’t know, so after that I get accused of “disappearing”. My boss approached me about it and I told her I was in the restroom so after that, I told one of my two co-workers if I was going to get water/coffee, go to the restroom, do an xray exam (which is what I was hired to do) or anything that was not in their sight. Excuse me, I didn’t know I had to tell someone every time I needed to pee, like in Kindergarten. My “friend” “R” at my ‘home’ location scolded me, put me down and almost yelled at me again today because I ask the same questions every 10 days. I don’t feel like I do, I ask questions about things that were not clear the first time, or things I was not normally in charge of. I’m so done with this place. I’m looking for a new job. 2016 has NOT been a good year for me and I’ll be selling more sculptures this week.
I need a glass of whine today too. 🙁 So I went to school in 2013-2015 to join the medical field (imaging) and finished in February. I thought I would be good at it because I think about things differently than most people, so I saw this as a good problem solving trait. I like chatting with strangers and hearing their story, and people have always told me I’m “sweet” and kind. Days like today make me question everything. So I get my current job in April 2015. I was hired to do what I went to school for but ultimately was sent to a location where they didn’t have imaging so I helped out. I learned a lot actually. The other girl who was hired as the same title as me went to a location where she could actually practice her skills, even though they weren’t busy. The other girl takes her state test and doesn’t pass. I take it and pass. So I get a raise. By the time we figure out she didn’t pass (it took months because it was a state test) my boss switches us. That meant me driving 30 miles one way into town, waking up at 3:30AM to carpool with my boyfriend, and later at 5:00AM just to miss some traffic to appear for my 8AM shift.
This past Friday we all get an email from the boss who says she’s switching us back, even though the other girl hasn’t passed or taken her test again. I texted my boss to ask why and she said it’s because “[the big head doctor] requested it”. I woke up to that text Sunday morning. I was crushed.
Monday I come into my old job, which is only 20% as busy as the down town location, and my “friend” my co-worker “R” is treating me like I’m a foolish, incompetent, child she just met. I finally confronted her and asked why she’s treating me differently (oh I should add that things have been awkward between us since she texted me, un-inviting me to her wedding) and she says “Do you know why you’re here?!” she then went on to accuse me of being a screw up from the beginning, saying how she was nice to me even though she didn’t have to go out of her way for me, and how she got blamed because I “wasn’t trained”. I spent just as long down town as I did at my “home” location. The job down town is MUCH more complex and I tried my darndest but somehow things I’d checked off on were turning up un-done, over and over and over again. I got blamed for everything and honestly I feel like this is Mexico: you’re guilty until proven innocent. I’ve put my heart, my life and everything into going to school, WHILE working 45 hours a week during the day and Saturday sometimes WHILE maintaining a relationship, WHILE cooking and cleaning at 10:30PM when I finally get home. I sacrificed to get here and now I’m ‘not good enough’. “R” and I used to chat about life, talk about personal issues, talk about our childhood, I felt like we were connecting on a human level, but as I told her today, “now I see how you feel”. Today has sucked and I can’t forsee it getting any better this week. I almost want to wait until April to make my year and find a job where I can use what I went to school for. It’s a shame because there was another co-worker in my department who I feel connected to, and lots of cool people at the company. On top of that, “R” called me from the other room to tell me I’d made mistakes on the two things I’d done today and the girl who failed her test texted me to tell me she’d fixed an issue I didn’t even know about that I’d messed up. Kick me while I’m down!
OH MY GOSH!! I just read this, hadn’t seen it yet.
Buyer: I paid $70 for a windstone dragon statue as an initial payment. The seller changed the payment agreement after the initial payment asking that I pay a deposit and a payment of $70 in December. This was not the agreed arangement. I attempted to work out a solution with the seller and got no communication. I had rquested a shipping quote and also a way to work out payment arrangements but did not get a response. I would like a refund for this only payment I made toward this item I will not receive.

“Hi! I am soo sorry! I haven’t been on my computer in a few days. They changed my schedule from third shift to first so my sleeping, eating and general life schedule is out of wack now. No, the dragon has not sold and yes I will be willing to do a payment plan. I have bought many pieces on payment plans myself and sold out a few that way too. My terms are as follows: I require 10% down that is non refundable after 7 calendar days if you change your mind. The reason for this is that I have had buyers ask me to hold items for them and after weeks, they drop off the face of the earth. In those weeks I had other people asking about said item but it was on hold. After that, there is a minimum payment of $150/month sent via paypal as a gift or with the fees covered. If you are able to send the rest next month, that would be great. I still am quite attached to this dragon but the only reason I’m selling now is to add to the down payment on our first house we are hoping to be able to buy in December. I believe I saw you were in [location removed by moderator]? Let me know your postal code/province and I will calculate shipping for you. Unless you prefer FedEx, I will be shipping this big lovely guy insured with USPS. He will be double boxed with lots of packing peanuts, large bubble bubble-wrap and plastic air pockets. Now if only Windstone would enforce known scammers contacting people. More people have been ripped off by scammers who offer to trade and then don’t send their end than anything else.
Hi! this is my first time posting, but I wanted to lend some advice I’ve read elsewhere. On facebook there’s a group for people who do work in artist alleys at various conventions and paypal claims have been brought up before where buyers have been flaky and opened claims against artists. The advice given there is that Paypal is almost always more sympathetic if you talk to a customer service person on the phone. Your e-mails and terms should be good evidence in your favor. But even if it’s not, it’s probably better to know sooner rather than later, right?

Heyyy ahoffer! Welcome! You really think so? Because in my past experience with paypal, ebay, the post office, etc., big entities like that want some kind of proof. She opened a “non receipt” claim against me. So what, do they want a tracking number or else? We originally started talking through ebay and then moved to email. It was $70 in question. I have screen shots of our messages. I am just afraid paypal won’t care about me (the seller) because 1-paypal seems to always side with the buyer in my experience and 2-they may say that emails aren’t enough proof or that our agreement doesn’t hold up because …I don’t know. Some legal reason. I’ve been stressing over this so bad, my anxiety goes through the roof when I think about it.
I’ve got the Obsidian Forest Old Warrior and I’m just not in love with him-if anyone wants to buy him, or trade, PM me. Otherwise, I will be sending him back if I can.
Just wanted to squeak again for Fire Berry! Would love to see more dragons on ebay, or, ideally, some in limited production form 😀 Such a rich, vivid, juicy color!

Tarnish-maybe! It is actually more of a grey. I polished the ring and cleaned my finger so I’m going to watch and see if it happens again. It’s stamped .925 but they can stamp plated items, right? (I mean, legally or whatever)

This guy claims hes in the Army and hes madly in love with her. Convinced her it takes money to buy leave papers and to pay another soldier to take his place. I tried telling her it does NOT work that way and I found an article on the Army website calling this the “Romance scam ” . Unfortunately the bank claims it couldnt stop the transfer and then told her they no longer want her banking with them. So shes out 16 grand and a bank.
I think what bothers me right now is shes still talking with this person and claims she wont send anymore money . She really doesnt have much left.
no matter what I say she wont stop. I just hope she doesnt send him anything else. we did inform the police here but they didnt do anything at all. She even gave them a supposed full name and social number but the cops in this tiny town didnt even look it up. All they said was its probably fictitious. With all the evidence she still hasnt stopped talking to him . I dont know what else to do other than to let her learn her own lesson.
She gets angry with me anytime I say anything about it.If I were you, I’d go to a news station-local or if you live in a small town, go to the next biggest city. News crews love stories like this. THE POLICE SUCK!! Don’t get me started with my experience with them. Essentially, I felt my life and safety were in danger and they told me to 1-go somewhere else and 2-treated me like I was crazy. Call the news crew. Call the news paper. Make an infografic (I will help you/do it for you!) telling your mom’s story but leaving her name out. Make the story go viral. Publicize the name of the bank and rat them out. THE SQUEAKY WHEEL GETS THE GREASE! This story makes me so angry. My mom would do something like this and yes, get mad at me if I brought it up. You have to stand up for her if she won’t stand up for herself. That scumbag needs to lay in the bed (of nails) he made!
How fool proof/easy/feasible are these colors to reproduce? ’cause they both look awesome on all the sculpts we’ve seen so far!

Any of these test paints could possibly be made as a production color, when we need a new color. Right now we are pretty backed-up just painting the colors we have.
Also, adding a new color usually means discontinuing an old one, so we have room to stock them!You could retire Emerald Peacock 😉 I’m also DYING to see Fire Berry as a production color. Or at lest Limited Production. I know it’s so similar (in the grand scheme of things) to Violet Flame and I love Violet Flame to pieces so I hope it doesn’t retire anytime soon!
