Congrats, Paper! I like the expression on the Uni’s face…

These photos are interesting! For those curious, the shoulder scales on this guy shine with the same color as his eyes, from some angles. πŸ™‚

What color ARE his eyes? On my monitor, they look light aqua. And BTW, I thought that labradorite mother was stunning! I loved the blue schiller along her scale edges and her wings.

I can paint, but not like you guys can. I thought about trying one of the PYO, but I’d never get it done. I’d be too worried about “ruining” it. πŸ˜›

Hmm does he like animals πŸ˜† I have a hard time finding one that does! πŸ˜€ Lol

    Let’s see…we’ve got 5 cats, a big hairy dog, and 8 horses. I’d say that’d be a yes. πŸ˜† !
Hmm…on second thought, he makes more money than I do. Maybe I’d better rethink this. πŸ˜‰

Well, I was having a good day. My old green male, hatching, and young arrived today. All in the same box with just a little peanuts and trash bags. 😑 (wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap) The young’s head is completely broken off! They smell EXTREMLY awful. And the felt is sticky. (weird) I am so disappointed now. πŸ˜₯

Oh, no! πŸ˜₯ What will you do? And what do they smell like? Cigarettes?

When I opened the box the spectral came in today, I saw a bunch of crumpled newspapers, and bubble wrap, and all I could think was uh oh. But I was lucky. The mother was wrapped properly, though. Different sellers.

    I WANT!!*sniff*
I’d even consider selling the husband for that one. Any takers? He’s “gently used” and an easy keeper…. 😈 Dang…

Well, so far, so good! The Peacock Mom and Spectral arrived this afternoon, and they’re *perfect*!! No chips, rubs; nothing! I’m doing the Happy Dance!
Now I’m just waiting for the Peacock Hatcher, and the Red Fire OW I just won the other night. (I know, he’s gonna be the odd dragon out but I just couldn’t resist!) *wiping the drool from my keyboard now*
Now if only I could scare up the cash for that Twilight SK!! WAAAAAH! πŸ™

A Peacock Rising Spectral (Got It! Thanks!)
A Peacock Young (Got it! Thanks!)
    The hatching Royalty in Peacock.
That should do it….for now! πŸ˜‰

WHOO HOO! Happy Dance! Happy Dance! πŸ˜† My Peacock mother and spectral dragons just arrived today! And they’re in perfect shape; they survived the trip. (WHEW!) Now I’m just waiting on my Peacock hatchling, and the special painted red fire OW. He should be here by next week. (looking wistfully at the mailbox…)

    Hi!

Ebay is full of great sellers, but as you’ve read sometimes we run across a bad seller. πŸ™ It’s one of those unfortunate facts of life… there are all sorts of people out there.

Fortunately, you do have some recourse!

    A few questions…
    – How did you pay? (PayPal?)
    – Do you know where the dragons are shipping from? (e.g. if you are in NJ and they shipped from CA, it can take a week or more), which leads to the next question..
    – Do you know how they were shipped? USPS Priority? Parcel Post? UPS? etc?

A week isn’t very long to wait- you can send the seller a question through eBay and see if they can provide a tracking number for you. If they don’t respond and you do not receive your dragons in another week, you might consider opening a claim. For now though, if it were me, I’d contact the seller both through eBay and via email if you can, and ask them to give you some shipping info.

P.S. Though I love the color of your font, it’s really hard to read against the grey/black of the forum! Perhaps consider using “Cyan”? πŸ™‚

I paid through paypal (immediately after winning the bid) and the dragons were supposed to be coming from MA–not as far as CA–and I don’t know the shipping method, although I do plan to email the seller if the dragons don’t arrive by midweek. Maybe I’m just getting a little paranoid… πŸ™‚

After skimming through the posts here, I’m starting to get a little–no, make that A LOT–nervous about the dragons I won on eBay. I’ve had contact from the seller on the Peacock Spectral letting me know he’s been shipped, but the other 2–the Peacock Mother and the Peacock hatchling have both been paid for as of the auction ending on 4/6, and to dat, I’ve not heard from the seller OR received the dragons. I’ve read some of the horror stories about broken dragons, etc., and I’m starting to get a preeeetttty good case of the “What ifs?”
So my question is: Overall, has the eBay experience been good, bad, or indifferent?
If the Momma and Hatchie don’t get here soon, I’m not sure what I’ll do. I have been withholding feedback until they get here, just in case there is a problem.
    Any feedback? TIA!

Let’s see….the Peacock Male and young dragon came from stores, the Peacock Emperor was in a shop that we’d gone into a couple of times. I had seen him about 2 weeks prior to actually buying him. After I saw him the first time, I came home and started hunting for a reference price. Once I had an idea of what they were going for in the Peacock, (knowing it’s a retired color…) I made a point of going back the following weekend to take the plunge. πŸ˜‰ I was totally convinced he’d be gone before I could go back. And when we walked into the shop, I immediately looked to the case, and didn’t see him at first. Then I realized the shopkeeper had rearranged the case, and relocated the Emp to the bottom. *whew!* I bought him and carried him around with me for while in his box before deciding he needed to go sit in the car; he was just too awkward to carry. πŸ˜€ The lap and scratcher came from the online Windstone store. I kind of rushed to grab them when the retirement was announced. Now I’m waiting on 3 Peacocks from eBay to be delivered

in reply to: Okay…I just HAVE to ask this…;-) #689176

Okay…let me say this first: I’m new to the forum, and until VERY recently never saw a Poad before. So, my question is: Just what the heck are they? They look part Budgie, part Guinea pig. And I think they’re adorable, but they had to kind of “grow” on me. But the more I see them, the more I like them. (uh oh…)

in reply to: If you could choose a Production Secret Keeper color? #662579

Hmmm…I would pick something blue, but having said that, let me elaborate. πŸ˜‰

I would like to see something in shades of blue, beginning with a deep–nearly black–blue, shading down to the brighter royals, with hints of gold overlay, like the magic invisible paint. Then add some contrast by giving her accents of gold and maybe turquoise. And just to be contrary, the eyes would need to some other color other than blue. Maybe red or orange? πŸ™‚
