WSC, I have a cloak from from VonLancelot–he does absolutely beautiful work! I don’t have any corsets by him, but I do have one from DivaDivine777’s store on ebay, http://stores.ebay.com/DivaDivine777?_rdc=1
She’s in Australia, and is very reasonable price-wise. Check her store out; you may be able to find something already made in your size.
And I have one from JupiterMoon Corsets; I won the auction for a custom made corset, and got to pick my colors, style and fabrics. She did beautiful work, too. I thought I had her site saved, but I couldn’t find it. Do a search on ebay for steel-boned corsets. It’ll turn up both metal and plastic boned corsets. There’s also Meschantes: http://stores.ebay.com/Meschantes-Corsetry?_rdc=1

I have several steel boned corsets. I was wearing some of them with my “office clothes”, like under my suit jackets but over my blouse. You can lace them up as tight or loose as you like. I also wear one of mine when I sing with our band, and I wear it laced preeeeeetty tight and can still sing. ๐Ÿ˜€ When they’re fit right, even tightly laced they can be pretty comfortable. They give a lot of support for the back, too, which is why I was wearing them with my office clothing–I was teaching a class that required my being on my feet all day, and my back was killing me.
If you decide on a steel-boned corset, make sure you get one with the steel busk in the front–it’s a LOT easier to put on than having to unlace and then have to lace it up without help. With the steel busk, you can just loosen the laces and unhook the busk to take it off, and when you put it back on, you only have to tighten the laces after closing the busk, rather than having to unlace it and then lace it all back up. ๐Ÿ™„ ๐Ÿ˜€
I love my corsets! I did go for the 6″ reduction, though. I don’t exactly have a waist, and I do have definite hips and bust. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I just feel more comfortable with my looks onstage with the corset than without it.

Same here. Mine gets up at like 4:30 AM, so he goes to bed around 9:30 and considering my problem isn’t going to sleep, it’s *staying* asleep, I don’t think he’d appreciate me waking him up at like 2 or 3. ๐Ÿ˜‰ No more than I would appreciate him waking me up at 6 on a weekend morning. ๐Ÿ˜€

in reply to: /sigh….Insomnia…..what do you do? #783827

I have suffered through insomnia for many years. I always blamed my being on a rotating shift, but the insomnia continued even after I took a “normal” day time job. It turned out that I have fibromyalgia, and the insomnia is part of that. I use a variety of things to keep the insomnia under some sort of control. I have a prescription for Ambien CR, and I also take melatonin 3 mg dose, and a calcium supplement with magnesium. And if that all fails, I opt for a camomile tea sweetened with honey. No refined sugar. I keep a fan running for white noise, and the windows open or AC on to keep the bedroom cold, and ear plugs, since usually once I’m awake that’s it; I’m up. It’s harder for me to stay asleep rather than falling asleep. If I do wake up, I will *not* look at the clock, because then I immediately calculate how long before I have get up for real. I’ll do a form of self-hypnosis/biofeedback to deliberately relax my body starting at my feet and working up towards my head, and regulate my breathing. If all that fails, then I get up. If I start to feel drowsy again, I’ll go back to sleep if time allows. I’ve gone without real sleep for a couple of days in spite of everything. That truly sucks. You feel tired, but still can’t shut your mind off enough long enough to go into deep sleep. Gah. ๐Ÿ™„

Mine arrived yesterday as well. Very cool! Thanks!
And you are both very welcome. Glad I could help. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Awww, man. ๐Ÿ™ That just really sucks! I’m so sorry about Titan. It’s hard enough to lose them when you know it’s coming, but suddenly like that has got to be worse. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ
    Sending major hugs your way. {{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}

Cute as anything but I also worry about those genetic problems. Was it meant to be for a horse to be that small? They look good for hugging and stuff and I wonder about their temperament. I’ve heard that smaller horses tend to be meaner–short man syndrome? Oh well, they’re cute–maybe our horse experts on the forum can give insight!

No matter what their size, they are still horses, and behave just like their full sized cousins. So they still require training and proper handling. Most people do the “Awww, isn’t he *CUTE*” thing and forget to discipline the animal, which can lead to the “small spoiled dog syndrome”….IOW, a four footed little tyrant. And they may be small, but the hooves are still hard and I’d be willing to bet they still hurt when you get nailed in the shin by one. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Maybe because you just want it all over and done with……like YESTERDAY?? ๐Ÿ˜†
I like the looking for/finding a new house part, but don’t like the packing part.

    Nice ink, ladies!
I’ve been thinking of getting another one done for a while now, but haven’t had the inspiration for the design hit me yet. I have one on my right calf that was my own artwork–an Arabian horse head (shaded) in a horseshoe shaped wreath of pink and blue morning glory vines– and had lit the match to burn the flash at the studio the night my tat was done.
It didn’t hurt really at all; I’ve had sunburns that hurt worse. ๐Ÿ˜€

Wasn’t there a thread on forum member’s tattoos a while back?

Geeze, Drag0n….it sounds like your workplace is a breeding ground for whackos!
I have to give you credit, though….you’re still employed and not incarcerated…….yet.

Hmmmmm….power tools…..and forklifts. She ought to be run over with one of those and then you can tell her that’s how her cat felt, and ask her how she likes it. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

I might be willing to pitch in to get HER stuffed.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We’d have to probably pay double–first to remove all the “poor me” BS, second to put in clean stuffing….. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ *snerk*

in reply to: Who Have U Met And…. #811283

I haven’t met anyone yet, most probably because I was working so many hours and in so many places away from home here in NJ up until last August… ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I would love to meet everyone! We are about 30 minutes inland from Point Pleasant (one of the many NJ Shore towns) and literally just about right next door to Six Flags Great Adventure–I have ridden my horses up behind their Safari Park and saw giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, etc. many times. So if anyone decides to make the trip to NJ, the door is always open. And Atlantic City is about 1 1/2 hours away, if you’re into casinos and such. 8)

You’re eating PB&J’s and/or hot dogs for dinner, and yet you’re planning your next piece purchase using sofa/washer/dryer/car ashtray-change. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I GOT THE JOB!!! I start on May 3rd. Thanks for all good luck wishes, guys. ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m not entirely sure I would’ve been able to avoid losing my job and staying out of jail, because I sure as hell wouldn’t have been able to NOT throttle that freakin’ IDIOT on the spot. How can someone say they love their pets, and yet be able to sit there and watch it die slowly and in pain???? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ˜ก ๐Ÿ˜ก
    I’m with you, Drag0n….WTF?
That’s why all my cats stay indoors 100% of the time. I won’t even leash train them because I’m afraid they’d try and bolt for the door without the leash on.
