Sigh, that Twilight Ruby baby unicorn’s color is pretty but the dots will keep me from bidding on him.
Am I the only person who wishes that the Twilight Gemstone unicorns were either fully dotted leopard appaloosas or painted with only a few speckles of black?
On some of them I really like the dots! The purple looks great with spots, I think. The yellow one less so.
I do think it would be neat if some of them took the ‘twilight’ part of the name in a different way, though, and just had dark shading along their toplines (e.g. countershading found on real horses), or else on their legs (like a bay or buckskin horse). Either of those would have made the citrine unis much more interesting to me – they’d have looked like fancy, fantasy-ified buckskins or duns, which my horse-nerd heart would adore.

I’d buy a Carnelian Lap Dragon, for sure! Though add me to the list who’d prefer a different eye color. (Nine of my Laps have blue eyes; it’s the most frequent color by far in the conga.) An orange or brown eye would be lovely with the Carnelian coloring! Or even metallic tan/gold, to pick up the traces of gold accenting on the body. I’d even go for an orangey red eye color, as long as it’s not the stark red of the regular “Red” eyes.
Returning to the original topic, though: there was a “Red Fire” color produced for several years! Not sure if Curlies were produced in it, but they may have been.

Squeak, squeak!
Figured I might as well make a complete squeak-list, since I chimed in on griffins up above. Here’s the things I’m most eager to see:
* Desert Opal Griffins + Flapcats (large and small).
* Grab Bag Lady Cats with ‘realistic’ cat colors; I’d be especially grateful if they were divided into “with white” + “without white” batches, but Ill take whatever we can get! 🙂 My feline bonded pair, Holmes & Watson, are now 12 & 10 years old respectively, and I’m really hoping to find Windstone cats that resemble them.
* Grab Bag Cougars in ‘realistic’ cat colors – I’ve mentioned these before, too, and still think they would be great! 🙂
* Moon Orientals, as always. Peacock especially, but wouldn’t they also look good in ‘Atlantis’? 😀
* Lap Dragons in new colors or colors we haven’t had yet – Spring Bud would be my dream, but an ‘Amber’ or ‘Lapis’ or ‘Aquamarine’ color would also be fantastic!
* Still dreaming of the day we get a Black (Obsidian?) dragon family!
* New Production Mouse Wizards, in any of the colors they haven’t appeared in yet: Blue Morpho, Silver, Tanzanite, Desert Opal…
* More fantasy Pebble Cougars, or fantasy Pebble Fennecs, would be welcome.

Tabby Cougars are the perfect line between fantasy and natural grab bags, because by themselves they’re perfectly ordinary cats, but place them in a Cougar conga or a Pebble feline grouping and suddenly where the scale shows them as big cats, and they’re suddenly fantasy! 🙂
I’ve shared it before, but my oldest cat sits in the Cougar pose all the time, and I’m really hoping to one day own a Pebble that looks like him:

Reviving this thread, because I love hearing about how other people group their collections! Also, Pipsxlch has a good point about the Fledgling’s scale. He definitely doesn’t fit with the original Hatcher. I’d agree that he looks better with some of the larger dragons who don’t have a designated ‘baby’ of their own.
I’ve always thought the Fledgling’s name was an ‘oops,’ honestly, because a “fledgling” is a juvenile that’s learning/learned to fly, and the Fledgling Dragon’s definitely built like a baby much younger that that, with a very round chunky body and wings that are *way* too tiny to lift him! I always figured he was supposed to be a “Nestling” (a juvenile that hasn’t left the nest, i.e. hasn’t yet learned to fly) instead. 🙂 (I mean, none of them have wings that would actually support a creature of that size, so YMMV, obviously! But his are tiny even in comparison to the adults’ proportions.)

I am so excited! I’m sure the AWD Hip-moms will be out of my price range, but every one I’ve seen so far is absolutely fantastic, AND I’m definitely looking forward to future “Semi-GrabBag” offerings! I loved it when Melody did that with the Sitting Orientals (Cool/Fantasy/Koi) and Cougars (Giraffe/Fantasy/Flame), and think it’s a great way to help fans improve their chances of getting a piece they love and be more willing to spend money on a higher-priced piece.
Plus I’m still hoping for a “one day” Grab Bag of Pebble Cougars in cat colors, and would LOVE it if they were divided up in some fashion to make it easier for me to choose among them! (White markings vs. no white markings would be ideal for me, but I could also roll with a Tabbies with/without white vs. Solids with/without white split… or even finer categories, e.g. no-white Tabbies/no-white Solids/white on Tabbies/white on Solids.) 🙂

Huh, they really look like an Old Green/Old Brown hybrid color! Although Stone/Prismatic Spring might also be valid. 🙂
