A problem I anticipate is people wanting to switch dragons after they have claimed one. I’m not sure how to deal with that possibility.
No switching. That’s all. People should be mature enough to live with their decisions.

January 22, 2020 at 5:42 am in reply to: So, what’s next on the schedule? (Part 4 NEW for 2020) #1600032I liked the way mini-beans were picked through email as well. The livestream picking is far too much work for the Windstone crew. That can’t have been really cost-effective.
I wonder if those online randomized number pickers could be used somehow to determine the order people get to pick their item, rather than “first come, first served.” FCFS depends on a person being online right at the time the email is sent out, like the rush for any grab bag.

Thanks for the well-wishes, everyone! I’m crossing my eyes and everything else…
I’d be willing to be an intermediary, also. I’ve done it for several people on a toy collectors forum I’m on. However, I am in Florida, for Canadians maybe someone in the northern tier would be cheaper… for anyone in the Carribean I’m your man. (or whatever)
I collated/shipped a bunch of model railroad diorama stuff to Colombia once, that was fun. The 1st shipping quote was $750. Had to work at it, but was able to get it down.😲
It is extra cheaper when one can drive across the border and use Canada Post or hand off packages to visiting Canadian friends. 😉

And why are all the photos of them only from the one position? Is the left side maybe blank?? 😛

If that’s the case, I’m willing to be a surrogate home and will ship to you if anyone from outside the US wins. Just let me know 😊!
Will the seller accept bids from people outside the US? Someone in the States might need to actually win the dragon and then ship it on to Canada.
If non-US residents can’t even see the listing, they will not be able to bid. Since there’s already a lot of bids for each SK, the seller may not be motivated to change the selling area if someone sent them a message. It would probably be easiest to contract with a US forum member to bid, receive and re-ship the item to a foreign user.

The seller of these SKs is not willing to ship outside of USA, and sellers can make it so their listings will not show up for people outside of their shipping zone.

At least it is very organized. Makes it easier to be a to-do checklist.

Congratulations (and Happy New Year)!
As a side comment … are we going to have to come up with a new phrase every time we reply to a post? I got this message when I tried to have “Congratulations!” as my only reply – ERROR: Duplicate reply detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that.
Has anyone else had this happen? It looks like some kind of spam protection, to prevent spammers from flooding threads with similar posts. Sounds like a job for Clay.

I think it must be a Firefox update. I use Firefox, and mine slowed down about the same time. There was also a Firefox update around the same time. What I’ve noticed is I can no longer quickly go back with backspace (or clicking the back arrow). It does a full refresh instead of just loading the page from cache. It used to be that backspace didn’t update the “new replies” status for the topic I just read – it didn’t need to, I know what I just read! It is doing this both for the main forum list, and in the individual forums, but the time lag is most noticeable on the main forum list.
Same with the back button, but I am using Chrome or Safari most of the time. Everything slowed down about a week ago, and since yesterday it seems even slower.

I never realized how similar in color amethyst and violet flame were.

Still eyeballing those little Poads, maybe not mini-beans but Lima Bean Poads… “Eyeballing!” Ha! With that tray of eyeballs between the unis.
