Ugh… I love all the ones listed here, especially the ones with the white masks. I just got mine, it went right back in the box. Hate it, but she’s already spoken for at least so I’ll be on the side lines to drool over everyone else’s.
Copper body, the scales are the color change style and transition from the reddish purple to blue and that’s about it. Very bland in comparison to the ones pictured for something so flashy. Its actually the one in the store photo in second from the top row directly in front of the one with the leafy mask on it’s face. The eyes are a pretty, almost golden melon color, but that’s about all I liked about her.
That one was actually one of my favorite three from that picture. I have a thing for blue and orange colors together. My other favs from the store pic were the one in the very front and the one just behind her to the right. And that’s just from the store pic. Different strokes for different folks. I’m really wondering what mine will look like…..

Truthfully I’m still trying to save money to buy a house out of state and being on the forum too much tends to burn a hole in my pocket that syphons out money I should be saving. LoL!
I’m still here though 🙂 I’ll always be here till I’m dead. *nods* Then I’ll just haunt the place!
Oh! Good to ‘see’ you! Was a bit worried because you’ve been low profiled here and on dA! Good luck saving money! I mean that with all sincerity. It’s so hard to do even when everything is going well! ^_^;
Also, how do you manage two jobs? Sometimes I’ve wondered how to go about juggling that. It’s info that would be good to have…just in case.
Yea… I haven’t updated my DA in quite some time. I need a new computer among other things. Now I do most of everything thru my cellphone as my devices have become more and more outdated. *sigh* I already own a home and it seems to just get more and more expensive each year. I’m making more, yet somehow seem to have less expendable income than I did at the same time even though I’m taking home more. Ugh… I’m sure it’s what just about every one is going through.
I have a “rotation” at my full time job so I know way in advance what my days off are. Because of that I can always relay my availability for my part time job. It also helps my sister is the boss at the 2nd job so it’s not as if I have a strict boss. I’m more so extra help when time allows for the most part. Other than that I’ve been trying to slow down with the repairs so I can focus more on painting and other hobbies in the little spare time I have.
Thank you! Sometimes I worry about my current job and in this area I’d probably have to get two jobs to manage if I ever lost it. So any info is much appreciated!
I know how you feel when it comes to managing money with a house. I swear, wages don’t go up but everything else does. -shakes head- So I’m sure a lot of us know how you feel. It’s frustrating!

It’s called ‘Red Gold’ and they were painted for ebay by Olimpia, who was Windstone’s head painter for a number of years when they resided in North Hollywood, CA. So much more luscious in person than Red Fire *cough personal experience cough* 🙂
Whoops! My mistake. 😛 Thanks for the info. Upon second look, it does appear to have a deeper red coloration. Oh, do you have a red gold too? 😀
Oh, no worries. The production color was Red Fire. I figure most of the more recent members of the forum wouldn’t know. These predated the Red Fire production color when Windstone was working out the color that was in production. Just like the Red Fire curlies (which looked different from these SKs and the Red Fire production color, and even between the two batches of curlies done).

Oh wow, she is gorgeous! I love the darker red shading on her back. 🙂 She’s the color I expect on a dragon from D&D. So cool!
We really need another red production color one day. -grumps- Why is red such a fussy paint color!?

Seeing all the positive interactions and support of one another is what finally encouraged me to stop being a lurker. It’s nice to know that this place has helped others so much emotionally. In the past I’ve been guilty of whining, self pity and passive aggressiveness (very embarrassing upon reflection I can assure you all). And I apologize for that. It was pretty messed up of me.
Since then I’ve tried to moderate myself. The first two rules stated by Ela_Hara have helped.
Another couple also help me.
1) Take a few minutes to breath and step back for a little while. Sometimes this helps because I’ll suddenly realize saying what I initially wanted to say won’t help the situation or just isn’t worth it.
2) Look at what you want to say and think, ‘If I look back on this later…will it embarrass me?’ This is important because…once it’s posted on the net…it can be there PERMANENTLY.
It always pays to be as careful in internet conversation as you are in face to face conversation. I hope that we can all work together to bring the forums back to a happier state of being.

That would be awesome! There IS a company that makes customizable miniatures using 3D printing (Hero Forge). A friend of mine got a custom miniature and they’ve asked me to paint it. I’ve discovered that it is going to be an absolute pain in the rear to paint. 3D printing apparently doesn’t create nice smooth surfaces. -sighs- The miniatures surface looks like it’s actually a super small topographic map. It’s a shame really. The minis aren’t good for painting with washes, but the fact that you can customize them so much makes up for it if you don’t care about painting them that way.
When they refine the technology I hope it makes that kind of problem go away.
I know exactly what you’re talking about! I have a couple 3D printed pieces that an old coworker gave to me. His printer was a basic starter model so I wasn’t sure if there are industrial/professional models out there that minimize this issue. Maybe someday…
Hopefully! In the meantime some people are playing around with 3D FOOD printers. One of them is called the ‘Foodini’. Isn’t that crazy!?
