I remember people asking before if the baby pegs could be painted in simpler colours for a grab bag or limited production. What about solid coloured baby pegs in pastel, metallic or colour shift colours? Or maybe simple fantasy designs?
I like this idea. Simple horse colors and/or simple fantasy colors with maybe just a little spotting or tipping on the wings.
That picture would make a great Christmas card Pegasi!
December 20, 2020 at 5:35 pm in reply to: What are your squeaks? Tell Melody here!! (part 2) #1633547Any production color Sitting Ori dragon. Elven or Stone would be irresistible.
seconded for the sitting oris in stone, that would look awesome!
More production colors for the sitting ori in ANYTHING. They have been around longer than the bantam, yet the bantams are pushed more. 🙁
I think any of the sculpts with metal horns are more problematic. That said, I would love to see another batch of koi ones, and maybe a batch of the darker colored ones. I decided I didn’t care for all the white except on the kois and pastel ones. I know that kind of mahogany colored one was a lot of people’s favorite (including mine).
Congrats VS! Beautiful ring.
Thanks for this! I really love seeing all of these, especially with the insides included.
I know I have also read about someone removing and replacing an eye before because it was set a bit off. I think they used a drop of water to soften the glue. There is still the potential to damage the piece though. I agree about the BG dragons though. They would look better with red, orange, purple or gold eyes. That being said, I think the violet flame would look better with blue eyes that matched the blue antiquing in the violet areas. I feel like it would make the color stand out more.
Love the eyelashes.

Congrats!

Lovely pieces everyone!
October 22, 2020 at 6:46 pm in reply to: Authenticated Windstone Employee/Relative Gift, Test & Prototype Paints #1630285I wondered about that one. It looked like a Windstone paint job in quality, and was similar to the dark jade, but the eyes and stones looked like a white dragon’s.
There are also a few of the older peacock pieces that are almost black in color, like the colors were laid more lightly over the black undercoat. The older production pieces had a fair amount of variation due to different production painters working on them. Some of the white pieces had more gold, some of the brown pieces had more colored speckles, etc. People also confuse the peacock and emerald peacock.
Beautiful!
I think all 3 pieces are retired. However, the Peacock was produced in large numbers so it is not that rare. A good way to judge prices on those is to look at the “sold” listings for them on eBay.
