I know the lift in the shoe seems like a pain, but I have a sister who swears it has helped her alot. I hope it helps you too and that you have some relief soon!
Too Cute Robin!
I am embarassed to say that I only ever viewed your profile/avatar photo before and for some reason thought that this sculpture was some kind of a homemade hat!!! Perhaps it is time for glasses or to upgrade to bigger monitor! Bugger makes a much better white dragon sculpture than a white dragon hat! LOL!
I was laughing when I read about the fits Bugger gave you! I heard somewhere (scratches head) that dragons were stubborn!
Only one question. Does Bugger eat bugs?
Well I know from my time working in a bridal shop that most white items begin to start a yellowing process after 3 years. Depending on the composition of the object, it can progress more quickly or more slowly. That is why the process of having a wedding dress “preserved” is so costly. From an earlier stint, when I was in college, I also remember several “preserved” wedding dresses that were left at the cleaners. Either it cost too much to get them back or the marriages were over before the preserving got done! 😉
This sounds like a dealer I know. I have to hope there isn’t more than one of them out there!
I am imagining Jennifer having a heart attack as union workers toss her Windstone boxes around! Nightmare!
Too funny WindstoneFan! Thanks for sharing with us! I especially like the Cat Hat! 🙂
I wanna see! I wanna see! (But I don’t know where to view them. 🙁 )
Thanks for the Rock Dragon pictures Copper! It’s always so great to see what these guys look like in the “real world” and in comparison to each other.
Well I wish you the best of luck with the rest of the stuff they do. It’s too bad that the professionals cost so much!
🙁 Jealous of people close to an IKEA. I’ve looked online but the shipping to myneck of the woods is outrageous!
I hate leaving my pieces setting out to get dust on them. It feels like I am depreciating an investment. Recently I added a couple of empty aquariums. Sometimes you can get a fairly good sized aquarium or an odd sized one on sale for a reasonable price. I talked to Jennifer about this a while ago and she said that there are even certain bulbs that can go into the hoods that would be o.k. to use as display lighting. The ones that mimic UV rays wouldn’t be a good choice as they could cause fading.
The other cool thing about this (I am thinking of some of you artists out there) is that you can also put a painting or scene behind your collection. I am lucky because I have an artist in the family who can paint me what I want. You could cut down a scenic poster, anything you can imagine.
I started doing this a few years back to keep the dust off some of my fairies (some of them had rooted hair – so dust is really an issue). It was too fun to create a little environment for them with silk plants and stuff. I even raised some areas in the back of the aquarium with little boxes and then covered the whole bottom with green cloth. This made it look like there were little hills. I could display things on different levels and tiny stuff in the back would not get blocked by the items in front.
Sending Virtual Hugs Skigod!
Sounds like it was your time to win Jellyfish!
Amy Jane –
I can’t be positive about the size matching, but I have some that I recycled from a “bedazzled” cell phone case. I would be happy to send you several of each color if you PM me your address.
🙂
I haven’t seen one that isn’t cute as the dickens! Looks like you have made a lot of proud new owners out there. Way to go Melody!
RE: Anatomical Differences – Since the Foo Dogs remind me of our Pug Mix, I think the female should be really needy, maintaining eye contact, and in a Lap position and I think the male should be raising his hind leg.
😉
