I was pondering the meaning of one of my dreams once, did some googling, and stumbled on this link which I have kept it my favorites:

    http://www.ariadnegreen.com/article.html

I found this portion to be an interesting perspective:

“Although not all dream lovers are soul mates or as I prefer to call them Divine Complements, a large number are, pointing to a mysterious soul-to-soul connection that lingers beyond the duration of an ordinary commitment. Divine Complements collaborate and interact in the psychic realms even when a relationship in real life is deemed impossible. The collaboration at the otherworldly dimensions is realized in dreams as the consciousness of one collides with the consciousness of their twin to share intimate details about their lives, such as thoughts, pursuits and desires for reconciliation. From these dreams one becomes cognoscente that there is a spiritual purpose to the relationship that goes beyond conscious attitudes, personal ideals, promises to others, desires and personal needs. The purpose is a divine one.”

I second what Jen and Sasha advised. I wouldn’t ever leave him unattended with the birds. Things can happen so fast. I had a shepherd mix and a parakeet that had coexisted for years with lots of interaction between both. Then, one day Dolly decided to divebomb Lady and she grabbed her by the wing. The result was a broken wing, which was set, but I think shortened her life. It’s just part of their nature. Just make it safe by taking temptation out of the equation for him.

It sounds like you are a good momma who is thinking out all the angles. Enjoy your new baby! They grow so fast!

    SO JEALOUS!!!!!

One of my fondest memories from my trip to Alaska was seeing Susan Butcher out on her lawn with all of her husky pups as part of one of our tours. So wanted to bring one back! I think they have to be one of the most beautiful dogs of all. Nothing like those markings and blue eyes!

Koda is a totally cool name! I love it. What a great meaning to go with man’s best friend.

Have you ever seen Kota (I think that’s how it’s spelled) the Triceratops? It is a kid’s interactive dinosaur toy that came out a couple of years ago.

    Congratulations on your new baby!

Great stuff everyone! I really appreciate you having taken the time to respond. This will be a lot of help!

My sister used to say that she wanted one of those Savannah cats as a pet. I always teased her about the logistics of having a “pet cougar” with chihuahuas.

One April Fools I sat up a craigslist ad advertising that she was selling Savannah Kittens. She had like 20 emails in one hour! She called me to tell me that someone was using her email to set up a false ad about selling the exotic kittens. It was hard not to laugh. I only let her fret about it for about another 1/2 hour. 🙂

My cockatoo loves her baby blanket. We hang it from the top of her cage like a tent so she can go hide herself in there when she wants to take a nap.

Maybe someone needs to start an escort service for caged birds!

I feel very confident that Pam will do everything in her power to take care of us as she always has. She will use her best judgment and make it all as user friendly as is possible within the parameters of the forum.

in reply to: surgery tomorrow… #877085

My Mom has had surgeries on both feet. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Pain meds are part of the foot surgery journey. I hope you get the right ones to keep you comfortable during your recovery and I hope that you don’t have to be on a lot of blood thinners because sometimes they screw up your appetite.

Feel free to hop on and say screwy things. We will tell you what you said later! 😉

I won’t be competing for the buy on ebay, but as a person from Sand Country, I agree, they are beautiful. Catching glimpses of Sand Lizards when living in Sand Country is one of life’s little bonuses!

I love an Easter Chick! Too Cute! How cute would that be with the bunnies?

That Barn Owl would be a have to have for someone I know as well!

    Good Finds Amy Jane!

    Cute Puppy!

I am sure that you aren’t oblivious to this, and they may not be the pieces you want or need, but there have been an unusual increase in the amount of Rainbow pieces listed on eBay lately. It wouldn’t hurt to sniff it out with some of those sellers.

In the meantime, I will keep in mind that you are looking for these pieces.

    Good Luck!

This is amazing! I am going to hire you for a couple projects when I win the lottery! It cracks me up! You built this amazing enclosure and there sits Jazz looking out thru the fence at the edge of it. I half expected her to start dragging her tin cup along the bars and chanting “Attica!” Typical Cat! Too Funny!
