Saw this and all I can say is WOWZA!!!

Thinking maybe she did as a test paint. I pay attention to the Red Pandas since our zoo had some of the first born in captivity.

Thought it might be my netbook too!

    Very, Very Cool PurpleCat!

Awww I’ve seen the brown bat. He is so cute too. Very lifelike color. Saw a real bat that decided to hang out on some jeans in a store I was shopping in up close just a few months ago, kind of wanted to touch it just to see what his fur felt like but thought better of it for fear of getting bit.

I hope you get your trade. I am excited to see my new black one when he comes in. I will remember you are looking for one in case I get the itch to trade or if I hear of anyone who wants to sell.

Nobody knows better what to get us for Valentine’s Day than ourselves, Sasha! Maybe I will use that as my excuse for having bought it too! I’m sure if I had a Valentine, he would want me to have it! πŸ˜‰

In reading about the etymology of my last name, I learned that it was derived from the word “Bat”, which may explain why I have always had a fascination with them and Vampires in general. (I’ve read the Sparkly Vampire bashing rants, but let’s just remember, when it comes to bagging on mythological creatures, it becomes a slippery slope! LOL!)

I saw the brown version of the bat once while traveling, but I didn’t feel like I could get it home safely, so I am happy to see that this little guy was offered. πŸ™‚

I was just putting away my Christmas decorations last night (yes I have procrastinated) and pondering whether to pack up the little bristley bat ornament I have or leave it out when the email came in about this little guy. I took that as an omen. πŸ™‚

In my opinion, when you get a deal like that, it is what I consider a “Found” item and is meant to stay with you.

After college, and a while after you land that great career type position, you can point to “Huey” who was the beginning of your great collection, and say that he was what started it all.

Also, since you love cats, take a look at the FAQ’s on the Forum. Real cats like to chew on Windstones, so keep Huey out of paw’s reach. (Just a side note.)

Another piece of unsolicited advice, if you can, hold onto Huey. Windstones seem to be the one collectible that always hold their value, if not grow in it. Even if the piece was produced for a long time, as the popularity of Windstone grows, the piece will have more demand. As I have seen several of the Windstone experts write here on this forum (roughly translated) Value is set by the amount a collector is willing to pay, and you can never tell when that might end up being a lot.

Welcome! State your name and follow with . . . “and I am a Windstoneaholic.” LOL! πŸ˜‰

P.S. If you find other great finds at the Thrift Store, there is a place on the Forum to sell items other than Windstone!

    Bravo!

(That’s coming from an English major! We are a dime a dozen, but sometimes feared/respected for our brandishing of red pens.)

I like Zelda’s idea. I was thinking of suggesting something like that when I got down to the last post. I think it would be fairly easy for us collectors to do and those talented people in production could continue to do what they do best without adding yet another step to their processes.

Hope you got what you wanted! What an amazing creature!

Was waiting for someone to comment on that listing since it popped up. πŸ˜‰ Guess several great minds were thinking alike on fun things to do with them.

I have a decapitaed baby I have been puzzling over for a while now how to paint. I was going to go for trying to match on of my Grab Bags, but I can’t decide which one

Ooooooooh! Sounds like the little headless baby must be fixable, but I would be sooooo tempted to make him into a little seahorse. But don’t ask me LOL. Obviously my talent is limited to simple sculpey, feather boas, and a glue gun LOL!

I wish I was good at painting or drawing. I envision great things in my mind, but I can’t make my hands create it. Arrrrggghhhh.

Let us know what you end up doing.

Maybe 4th of July brings out those kind of people. My Mom’s boyfriend’s friend rolled up to my backyard 4th of July party uninvited on his bicycle one year. He proceeded to berate all the guest for having drove to my party (he didn’t believe in polluting the environment with vehicles at the time). He ate all our chips while telling us how much much better “homemade” potato chips were than these awful boughten kind and complained about my choice in beer while continuing to help empty the cooler of it.

This incident was only topped by his actions at my Mom’s boyfriend’s 50th birthday celebration. We had rented out a party room in the back of a restaurant to celebrate with 20 or so of the birthday boy’s closest friends. His idiot friend was supposed to help plan the celebration, but never participated, so we just ended up planning it ourselves, thinking that we would just foot the bill on our own and probably avoid some pretty wack-a-doodle ideas anyway.

So idiot friend shows up late, complains about the catering, then proceeds to go around to each of the guests and ask if they would help “kick in” on the bill. I could have died, because My Mom had invited these people as our guests and he was trying to take up a collection and act like he’d been a part of the whole process. I tried to go back around behind his back and give people back the money the idiot had collected, but some guests had already left by that time, probably offended by having been asked for money!

One vote for Alor (My choice) and one vote from Sandor Val (cause my Mom wanted to voice her opinion too)!

I’m a cockatoo momma and these all look like extremely cool options to me. Maybe just do a series. πŸ˜‰

I’m a big believer in Delivery Confirmation. I think the advice about going the extra mile with communication is important too, as unfortunately, it may be up to you to help educate them in their first transaction.
