How nice, thank you Bodine and Jellyfish for sharing the kindness of fellow forum members! The internet seems to have become such a haven for vitriol and anonymous hate; it’s always good to be reminded that simply isn’t true for the forums here and the people that make it a great thing to be a part of. Good people and good places abound, regardless if those places are physical or digital 🙂

My baby unicorns! All grab bags, save for the one up front who is Cuttlefish #2. Another one from the last release isn’t included, as he’s up for sale. I adore ’em all; the baby unis are my favorite grab bag pieces, with the standing ki-rins coming in second.
I imagine they’re doing the Macarena 😀

Here’s my little one! Tough to photograph, but she’s mostly a teal-purple on top and a purple-blue along her legs. Lots of dark new-penny-copper highlights on her scales too! I found the most accurate way to photograph the colors was to lie the piece down sideways 🙂

Fellow Maryland shark tooth hunter, here! Purse State Park in southern Maryland is a neat little spot to go screening. The teeth are pretty small but they are plentiful! And there’s a spot called Brownie’s Beach in Chesapeake Beach, I believe it’s a town park, where you can either screen for teeth or simply spread out on the sand and pick teeny tiny ones out along the shore. In both places, going along the cliffs is both dangerous and not permitted.
And Melody, thanks for the story about OSU! Shame they have to let the archaeologists have all of the fun, there are plenty of paleontologists out that way that would probably love to see the site. At least students get in on the work though, what a great opportunity to play a role in the school’s history 🙂 And very nice that the construction crew gets due credit for not plowing under the find, too!

Here’s my gold/silver in a couple of different lighting conditions. The ‘yellower’ photos are taken under a warm white CFL light source, while the ‘bluer’ photos have an added Ott-lite lamp shining on them.
All of these photos came out too brassy, in my opinion. The most prominent colors are gold and lime green. I’m not sure why the silver only really seems to show up in photos, not before my eyes 🙂 And the cougar’s eyes, while they look blue in the Windstone store photos, are purple as I can see them. Mine also has black facial markings/tail tip. Agreed 100%! I used to have a red-sided garter as a pet (though I think this is the California red-sided garter pattern on the dragon, Thamnophis sirtalis infernalis, while mine was a Canadian red-sided garter – no matter it’s still gorgeous!), and this makes me miss the little fella!

Here’s my lovey llama! I was really hoping for a natural-looking one and was so happy to find this beneath all of the wrapping 🙂
There’s some sparkly rainbow paint on the brown spots, as well as gold/silver color shift paint on the collar and nails, and medallion rim, and red/gold shift paint on the medallion. I love her little white-tipped pink flowers too. Thank you Melody, she’s a sweetie!

Sushi cat PYOs! I’m so excited, that’s great news. Anything that brings more sushi into my life can’t be bad! Then again, I cast my eyes over to the small stack of unpainted PYOs I still have boxed up, and feel a twinge of guilt. Best kind of guilt, though 😀
