This is boat launch pier here on park at 10 am on top, 1 pm bottom left, 5 pm bottom right.
This bridge runs near the spill way for the dam that forms Lake Frank Jackson. The water is normally 10 or 11 foot below the bridge. My husband said it was about two foot below the bridge. The pine trees lower branches are about 8 foot up and the water was easily covering half that.
The steady rain finally stopped late this afternoon and now we have the lite misty rain.
So far Sally’s been a bunch of rain here in south central Alabama. Schools are canceled tomorrow in preparation for weather with a decision for Thursday waiting on how things fair tomorrow.
Oh wow, I missed seeing those. So lovely. Congratulations GardenNinja!
August 28, 2020 at 7:57 pm in reply to: What is your most heart attack moment with your Windstones? #1627300When I was moving in with my ex-husband after we first got married, he tripped in the uhaul while the box containing my black mother unicorn was in his hands. The box went flying out of the truck and my (now current) husband dove and caught it.
I wasn’t there when it happened, but my heart was thumping when they told me about it a few hours later when I got there. My collection at that time was so small I didn’t bother to put the windstone boxes inside other boxes. Now I have enough boxes to fill four dish barrel boxes with Windstone boxes.
This is an awful, back breaking job I get to do today.Oh Yay!😝 There is a layer of tiles glued to the floor under the top flooring and the smell is horrid. But wait until I am done, worth it.
That reminds me of the computer room in my parent’s house. We pulled up shag carpet and two layers of tile like that to get to the bare concrete that we then had to clean before we retiled it with ceramic tile. It was an ugly job, but looked so much better when we were done.
We also removed shelves, painted the wood paneling walls, and painted the back of the chimney after removing a false mantel added to hide where they tried to make it double sided. They didn’t break through the fire brick fortunately so all we had to do was add bricks back into the area. We’ve never used the chimney (in the 25 years since the house was bought) and know it needs to be cleaned and inspected before it is ever used.
That pin creator wouldn’t happen to be Venetia Jackson, aka: ChocolateRaisinFury? I just backed her latest kickstarter and it looks similar.
I got a giraffe as I feel like I might be happier with one of those out of the box rather than a safari. I’ve been less pleased with my Safari luck lately. I haven’t seen the class pictures anywhere. I can’t wait to see them. I’d like to see the horse colors especially to see if there might be one that might match Stormy and his family.
I like that idea Nightcrow. I’d probably try to get ones like my sister-in-law’s past cats, an orange tabby and a mostly dark snowshoe siamese rather than my own tuxedos as the black cougar is pretty close to them.

FB user: any idea on approximately how much longer until these guys are ready? if not yet, what are they waiting on? pads? eyes being glued in?
Melody: They are finished. Just need to take a class pic.
😍
August 5, 2020 at 5:14 am in reply to: A Large Collection Will Be For Sale Over The Coming Months #1624847I meant to mention after having the name bluepony78 turn up, I checked the pyo gallery. While the uni wasn’t in the gallery, other pyos by bluepony78 were and she included her name on the photos as Jessica Frye. So it’s highly likely this is the one ddvm commissioned (as it fits so much of the description). I can only guess that the original purple and green jewels added fell off over the years. Thank you again for touching things up with her before sending her to join my herd.
