Oh, gorgeous!
I don’t know if I’ll be able to grab one or not – I’ll try, but I seem to miss about half the GBs.
If anyone gets one that looks Peacock-ish, I’d love to trade or buy! (Or that rainbow-y one, right up front!)

I’m really liking ‘Orion’ better on the Hearth and the Young Oriental; stripes-all-the-way just has more appeal than the mixed stripes/spots. Especially for the Oriental; he looks like a fancy captive-bred tree boa! <3

I wouldn’t mind spots if they were all over, but I did find it strange that they have stripes on the neck but spots on the rump!
The Grand appears to be the first without neck stripes, so maybe the answer for the future is “spots, no stripes”?
(I like the stripes better, but I’m not bidding so my opinion doesn’t count for much!)

I have a number of dream dragons, and the Labradorite Lap Bodine mentioned is definitely one of them!
I’m also permanently swooning over the Test Paint Pastel Rainbow Lap, the Mineral Spring OW, and the female Metaltronic Griffin. 😀
And then there are the colors Windstone hasn’t made yet, but I’m still dreaming of them…

I can sadly attest that there has not been a Peacock Moon Oriental, because I’ve been waiting years hoping they would come out so I can complete my Peacock Oriental family!

Also wondering about the mouth orb. And what is the official name for this pose?
We call it the “sitting young oriental dragon”, anybody got a better name? We are terrible with names.
What about “Rising Oriental Dragon”? Since he has a pose somewhat like the Rising Spectral Dragon.
Or perhaps you could call him the “Oriental Seal Dragon”… but only if you teach him to balance the crystal ball on his nose, haha! 😀
Okay but seriously now, he (she?) is super cute, and I am already setting aside money to get one in Peacock when they hit the Store. <3

Both Aquamarine and Pale Mint apparently got nixed because of discontinued paint; I don’t remember hearing anything about Glacier, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask Melody or one of the painters, because now I’m curious. 😀

I can’t even decide which of these I like best, oh no!! 😀 I love both the blue ones, and both the yellow ones, and the one between the yellows who looks like a riff on Prismatic Spring…
I do notice that these guys have the raised-edge scales of the PYO Oriental, instead of the smooth scales of the Production Orientals; wonder why the change? Were they originally intended as PYOs, or does the ridge somehow help the seam-casting process (since Melody has mentioned lots of casting issues with seams on the Oriental family)?

Ahhhh, Mystic Jade Lap! I had planned to bid, but got sick and missed the auction ending; it went too high for me, though, so just as well.
Sunshift is neat! Extremely vivid.
Orion is cool, too; my first thought was, “hey, it’s a Striped Orchid x Candytuft hybrid!” 😀

I LOVE that Griffin! <3 Maybe not quite as much as Frosted Jade?? But what a hard choice it would be to pick between them. 😀
Still think Tanzanite looks great on the Orientals, too.

I think Mystic Jade looks better when more of the white underside can be seen, like on the old warrior as opposed to the mother dragon.
Aww, I’m the exact opposite! My favorite Mystic Jade piece so far has been the Young, because his white areas were more naturally blended. To me the sharp green/white divide on the OW looks like a domestic animal’s markings – something interrupting the color, rather than part of it, like the white chest of a tuxedo cat or the blotches of a paint horse. It makes me think of domestication syndrome.
Maybe he laid on some painted treasures that weren’t quite dry? 🙂
Much as I love the Mystic Jade color overall, I hope if it becomes production that we get a version more like the Young’s and less like the OW’s; I prefer my dragons a little less ‘domesticated.’ 😛
Everyone seems to really like the idea of Mystic Jade, though, one way or another! Which makes me so happy. Maybe we will get at least an LP run of it, like Pastel Rainbow…

He’s peacock. That’s the newer version of peacock that was used on sculpts that weren’t around back when peacock was a production. The newer peacock it a lot brighter than the dulled down colors of the original. I have both the riser and sitting spectrals in peacock, they both look brighter.
Kujacker’s nailed it. 🙂 That OW looks a lot like my Peacock Orientals and Lap (all newer sculpts, with the ‘new peacock’ coloring that is primarily purple-blue-green). The ‘old Peacock’ coloring was usually more mixed, with the purple-blue-green broken up by ‘dusty grape’ and ‘champagne;’ sometimes they were more grape-and-champagne than they were purple-blue-green, on some extreme examples I’ve seen!
The Mother being sold as item # 163356328956 is a good example of the heavy use of grape and champagne on old Peacock; notice how her flank and tail-top are almost gold or orange, and she has virtually no green at all.
By contrast, 282803655465 is a Male with intermediate coloring. He still has hardly any green, but he’s also very light on grape and champagne; his purples and blues are like the OW you linked.
223226692526 is a great example of what I think of as typical ‘new Peacock’ colors: emerald green, blue, and purple predominate with hints of grape here and there.
Even on newer sculpts, some Peacocks look older or newer than others! Ebay item # 163371713701 is an OW with a more ‘old-style’ Peacock coloration, for example. So if, in the long run, you find you’re just not loving your OW and he doesn’t fit in, you could always sell him and try to find another variation that would blend better.
