I’m absolutely loving the Landwood coloration! For some reason they make me think of dinosaurs. My brothers and I had a ton of Jurassic Park toys when we were kids… very possible one of them was colored similarly. Happy times 🙂
So very sorry, Pegasi. Losing a grandparent that you’re close to is a special kind of pain. Let alone two of them so close together.
Congratulations to all who got one, and condolences to those who wanted one and didn’t. I didn’t even try this time– with all the excitement in the Facebook group it looked like a storm was coming (and it did!) Plus, I really do love the ivory qi-lin that Melody showed on FB, so I’m holding out hope it could become the first production color for this little guy/gal 🙂
February 11, 2022 at 1:34 pm in reply to: What’s your grail piece(s)? 2 (Also awesome news inside) #1654192Best of luck, Ela_Hara! You’ve been after the razorback for a while now.
I definitely should not have done it, but… I can mark the woodland hearth dragon off my list. She’s been a production grail of mine since I started collecting again in 2020. I missed the restock that October and was really disappointed, and I missed the brown secret keepers when they restocked, so I don’t feel (very) bad about spending money that was supposed to be saved for vacation this summer.
The blue and white one, middle row, second from the front is my favorite, I think. But they are all lovely!
Maybe the strycanosaurus mama isn’t dragging her tail; she’s just got it curled down protectively over her baby.
I love the ivory moss color, but have never really cared for the red eyes with it. Seems too jarring a contrast to me. If the eyes were a softer orange, or the metallic tan, or even a different shade of green, it would be an entirely different story…
I can just imagine an invisible finger booping his snoot, haha!
The ponycorns are precious! I love that some of the smaller sculpts can be made standing without too much worry of them breaking.
January 21, 2022 at 12:07 pm in reply to: What are your squeaks? Tell Melody here!! (part 2) #1653206I do vaguely remember a grab bag batch of assorted natural colored sitting red foxes, but has there ever been a production batch of “normal,” traditional red fox-colored sitting red foxes to match the traditional red fox-colored curled red foxes? I don’t remember ever seeing any of those.
January 20, 2022 at 5:15 am in reply to: What are your squeaks? Tell Melody here!! (part 2) #1653152Definitely echoing the squeak for natural pebble sitting red foxes! (And a restock of the natural curled red foxes, to go with them… I would dearly love a set.)
That would work for me!
Stay well, Ms. Melody! Glad you’re feeling better 🙂
I also adore the ivory qi-lin. Would buy one in a heartbeat if they hit the store.
January 10, 2022 at 1:03 pm in reply to: What’s next on the schedule, Part 5 (new for 2021) #1652709Feeling deep sadness that I will never have a yard dodo peering out from behind my Rose of Sharon bush. My yard is very normal and could use something to make the neighbors do a double take.
Do we have to request to be added to the card list each year? I was on the list last year and thought that we just sort of stayed on it, but then didn’t receive a card this year.
