I squeak too for a snow leopard!!! And not just two in a GB of 120. 🙂 This puma sculpt is going to lend itself to sooooo many possibilities!

I had to save the reversed striping photos as painting ideas for a model horse/zebra. That would be too cool! Thanks for posting these pictures!

Here’s my next in-progress before the March Swap starts. So far, it’s just one shade of purple with Pearl Ex added. Just differing mixes with and without retarder. I also did interference purple on the horns and the center scales, but it’s hard to tell without sunlight. He’s obviously not done. Needs more layers and shading. I plan on making the paws/legs darker. The wings are just white pearl. Sorry for the creepy ‘No Eyes’ look.

Yes! Let’s do this! Then maybe something else can sneak into my cart when I order the PYO for the swap……:)

I’m one that doesn’t like the pink albino eyes. I had to get a standing baby kirin with the blue eyes. To each their own!

When you ask, we might as well just give you our bank account numbers! I think it is wonderful that you are so involved with your collectors here on the forum. There aren’t many companies like yours. Thanks for everything you do to make us happy!

Somehow you totally have to show this to the model horse community. I guarantee someone else ( or multiples there of ) would commission you to do one for them. This is looking fantastic!

March 15, 2015 at 12:27 am in reply to: Will There Be Grab Bag Standing Ki-rins Soon or Other Grab Bags? #926761I just got home and saw the new standing baby ki-rins in the store and was so excited to get one. With that said I am wondering if there will be a batch of grab bag standing kirins coming our soon or in the future? I was hoping to get a couple pieces together but if they will be a while I may just get one of the albino ones for now.
If the standing babies haven’t been done as grab bags yet my next question is what will be the next grab bag batch? Are you going to be doing the merle and brindle wolves soon or perhaps do a new batch of baby unicorns or young poads? It’s been a while since those have come out. Of course I want them all but am just curious what will be coming out next.
We have plenty of these small-footed standing kirins to paint, like about 400 more… so, yes I could do a grab bag batch of those next. They won’t be the easiest to paint super fancy because of the scale texture, but I can take a stab at it.
So we want bright colors, or natural colors? Or everything all together?
I will do brindle and merle wolves soon as we get another batch cast.
I never really know what I will do next till I do it.I like the idea of two batches; one naturals, one fantasy. I would get both! He’s such a cute little guy.

OMG, LOVE! That is an awesome first PYO. It has blue and it is pearly, which totally speaks to my heart. Gorgeous! I’d go with blue eyes, personally, but he’ll look great either way! I really like that black shading under the blue on the upper part of the scale area and the effect it makes.

So, after a long break of not doing anything with my PYOs, I started up again the last couple days. I touched up the keeper, added some gloss layers, and then started the antiquing this evening. I am SO tickled about how good it looks; I want to do a happy dance/wiggle. It looks so much better. You can tell the difference since I’ve only antiqued the top half and the wings. The bottom half and hind legs have not been done. As much as I like him, I think I’m going to have to offer him for sale so I can justify getting another PYO. I’m by no means a pro, so I’m not sure what I should ask for it. PM me if you are interested! Sorry! I just realized I forgot to out the eyes in.

And here my finished kitty griffin as a peregrine. He is sealed in a glossy finish right now, but I’m thinking I’m going to change it to satin or matte. He has lighter grey dry brushed over the paynes grey fur. His chain is pearly. He is also for sale. I really like him and he is the first PYO that I’ve done that was painted in a more natural scheme.

Here’s my kirin all done. It’s hard to see the dry brushing well in these photos, but it makes the hair/fur look really good. He is for sale.
