I’m in the market for a digital camera and I’m trying to do my research and I’m getting crossed eyed here. I’m technologically challeneged on a good day and the recent big highlight for me was to install my new keyboard and wireless mouse and have it actually work!! TaDa 😀 Now I’m sweating bullets just thinking about putting in more memory that I also have on hand! [See the problem here]
I see a lot of you post your pics here and I’d love to do the same. I don’t have a camera at all and would like something that is fairly easy to use (has good moron features so I can figure it out), takes decent pictures and is easy for me to hook up to my computer so I can upload the pictures for emailing, posting etc. (There was a Canon I was looking at but you needed to go through your Outlook to be able to email pics–don’t need this hassel) I’m looking at mid range in price–around $300–a decent zoom feature would help. So…any and all suggestions, recommendations etc would be appreciated! And remember…I grew up in an era before VCR and 8 tracks were considered state of the art 😆
Also any recommended accessories and what the hell is a card so on and so forth. I know–pretty bad–it sucks being old sometimes! 😕
I was curious–I placed an order in June but one of these type of Fuzzies weren’t in my box. Did I have to specifiy ‘Silver Frost Fuzzy’ and will they be jumping into boxes of items ordered in July?
What got me is that she called me–before 8AM to pound my ears about this. I had already told her what might happen. Now we aren’t spring chickens anymore–in fact she is 3 years older than I am–I like to say we are approaching the ‘Depends’ stage of our life–when we are truly multitaskers–sneeze, cough, belch, pass gas, hiccup and pee at the same time LOL 😆 I was just taken back by her wondering what ‘we’ were going to do? Well, outta my hands–I’ve put things in persective since then.
We all at times rant and vent on this site which I think is wonderful because other members can put things in perspective for us. Times are hard but I do look at it this way–I have a roof over my head, my health (for now anyway), there is food a-plenty for myself and my animals and that monster payment will come in next month! Also, I still have a job that is paying me and not only paying me but is paying for my benefits like medical, dental and vision! What more can you ask for?! My boss lacks good business sense and managing skills (a blockhead) but he is a decent person–clueless and spoilt but decent. We get very decent pay here–won’t find that anywhere else! So I roll with it–have to tighten the belt but I’m not out on the street! I try at times to make her see that–but she, along with another POS in that shop do need a big time reality check–the economy has taken a huge dump and everyone is affected from coast to coast. So SHUT UP AND DO YOUR DAMN JOB AND BE THANKFUL THAT YOU HAVE ONE! 👿
It did upset me that her only concern was that she would have to cancel her vacation–OH WELL 😈 :shrug: But I am going to have a good time–starting to put the finishing touches on that weird Muse I’m working on and start another piece and try and get ready for the PYO swap! Now that’s a good time–do what you want, spend time with friends and family and just enjoy the moment.

Eh you don’t have to use a digital camera to take pictures. You can use a regular 35mm camera and then when you take the film to be developed you can ask for the pictures to be put on a CD.
But alas, I don’t have a camera at all! I was using those one use throw aways but the store I was going to stopped processing them there. So I was thinking a digital camera–I’m a horrible picture taker and need a preview so I can make sure I didn’t cut off any heads etc. I’m hoping they don’t cut my hours any more at work–was planning on getting one the end of next week, but cash flow has been a problem at work so it’s a wait and see situation. [sigh] May pigs fly, may pigs fly!

I wanted that canary soooo bad! I woke up to her crying and she was paralized afterwards…so she didn’t survive the day. 😥

And she was so sweet and beautiful…miss herThat is what happened to a canary I had for about a year and a half. He sang so pretty and was the sweetest little thing! I got up for work and uncovered him. Next thing I hear is him peeping like anything and he was on the bottom of the cage–just when I turned around! I got him out and he died in my hands–it just broke my heart. I start crying and all my other birds became real silent. They knew I was upset and I had to go to work that day. I cried all morning over that little bird I called Honey-Bun.
A pet is a pet–no matter how small. Another little finch of mine died at the vet’s and I cried all afternoon about it. I can’t stand losing any of my babies–furry or feathered. 😥
I’d be interested but I don’t know if I can afford right now but who knows. There will be lots of competition for them, that’s for sure! 🙂
Those minis are amazing! My eyes aren’t what they used to be and I have to use one of those magnifying glass stands to paint details. These would definitely be out of the question for me. 😮
I like the blacklite look–way cool! 8) I have a blacklite somewhere in the wilderness called my home–would be interesting to find it and put my Windstones and some art I got from NAM under it–just to see if it looks different. One of these days, I’m going to get a digital camera so I can start posting some of my pretties to share with you all. Some day, when my credit card has been paid down and pigs fly! 😆
Congradulation to everyone on their new buy–it isn’t how rare the item is–it’s how special it is to you! I just received a Pink Pearl Lap and she is gorgeous! You have to see this up close–thanks Laurie and now I’m turned onto Laps! 😀
It is a mind blower to have all these celebs passing within days of each other! Not a good time to be a celeb! It is sad. 🙁
How about trying to scrub them with baking soda? With tree sap just plain water usually disolves it and I was thinking baking soda because it is pretty harmless. Also, some household cleaner like Comet or Ajax? And in time, the weather does the rest.
I have the forum site up at work–not logged in–try to not log in my personal stuff. So I stalk and wait and click and stalk some more….
I had a dream one night that the keepers were back in stock–I got up, it was the wee hours in the morning, and turned on my computer just to check the store–they weren’t*grumbles*goes back to bed.
