Thanks for sharing! When I saw these the words ‘animal kingdom’ comes to mind! I love it! People get this glazed over look in their eyes when they come over and see all my birds. Love seeing that there are other people out there who love the company of animals! 😀
Oh, that type of ‘green’! I thought either someone was getting sick :puke: or they were real jealous of something. Yes, I do recycle! The city I live in has bins to put your newspapers, glass, plastics and a bin for yard waste. :yes:
I love cats but I own birds and dogs. Not a good mixture unless you love mayhem! The only cats I’ll own are windstones I’m afraid. But those are cute kitties!
I listen to mostly new age type of music. I do like Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of the Moon’, Fleetwood Mac, Moody Blues, and there are times I like to listen to 50s, 60s, or 70s rock I even enjoy classical from time to time. Tonight after I clean some bird cages, I like to turn off all the lights, light some candles, put on some relaxing music and have a glass of wine or better yet, Baileys & Creme over the rocks! WooooHoooo! 😈 May just fall asleep on the couch with my dogs. Love not having to get up early the next day or have to do anything but stay home! Paint a PYO, play with my birds and dogs or read a book. Now that’s my idea of the perfect weekend! 🙂
I’m not going anywhere either. Rather stay home and rest and get things done here. It’s a beautiful day–not too hot and not too cold, just perfect! Typical California weather! I’m going to my favorite bird store on Monday because the manager called me and said they just got in some nice bird stands and such. Don’t have any money right now, but I’ll go and look. I have a lot of birds and can always use another stand.

I have completed my Black Sunet Griffin family and am currently awaiting my amethyst curled dragon, 2 griffin PYOs, a winged wolf PYO and a muse with blue and green eyes! Can’t wait to practice on the muse. Personally, I think the muse is sorta cute in a weird way! 😀
Ooooo! As I posted this my doorbell rang an hour later. There it was–the BOX–the box from Windstone with my amethyst dragon and PYO griffin and winged wolf! The dragon is sooooo cute! Curled up with one eye opened lest someone or something sneak up on him and takes his jewel! That things comes out–I didn’t realize that but it is a cute little piece that I’ve put with my Black Sunset griffin family! They greet you when you come in my door. Have to take pictures! :yes: :yes: :yes:
It is pretty ambitious of me, who has never painted a PYO to attempt this great feat with my new PYOs. I have another order with a muse in it and I plan to practice on her before I even touch the griffin or wolf! There are some notes with it warning you that these were not designed to be easy to paint. I do plan on getting expensive paints which I understand helps with the appearance of the final product. Very ambitious indeed! I’ll post the results when done–the good–the bad–the ugly–however they turn out! 🙂 squeek* :bye:
Oh, age is a very, very sensitive subject for me. Let’s just say that I got my first Windstone a couple of months ago. Hey, it’s never too late squeek* 🙂
Thank you, thank you all for the warm welcomes! Duh 🙄 I’m just now starting to check out this forum. Have been very busy and wanted to at least get myself a little acquainted with this forum. I like Griffins and Firebirds but since I found Windstone, am getting an affection for Dragons, Winged Wolves, Flap Cats–the list goes on. I found Windstone through Jennifer Miller’s website and have been happily spending money ever since! I currently own the Sunset Griffin family and have ordered 2 PYO griffins, a winged wolf and a muse. Thought since I’m not artistically that talented, it would be smart to practice on the muse first.
Not only am I artistically challenged, I’m also technologically challenged hence no pictures yet–not even an avatar–sad, so sad 🙁 . But I do notice some wonderful advice on posting pictures and when I finally get it, you’ll at least see an avatar. I am so in awe of the talent I see in the PYO pieces! If I could only get to be half that good. Some of these pieces are good enough for ebay! It may be a while, but I’ll paint the pieces I ordered and get them posted for everyone’s viewing and recommendations.

She is beautiful! I am just amazed at the quality of a lot of these PYO pieces. I’m new and have on order 2 PYO Griffins, a winged wolf and a MUSE. Thought it would be safe to practice on the MUSE to get the technique down. But the details on Dapples are amazing! I can only hope I can do half as well.
