Myself I like more normal type colors. I really like the natural ones, and I liked the safari ones. I like the lichen/leaf ones too, but not the really funky ones. (I have the black with rainbow lichen one, and love it! But I was more ‘meh’ about the rest, and didnt’ like the really clashing ones, like orange and green leaf.)

That said, I also wouldn’t mind a candy-corn or extra-crazy batch, mixed up with a super natural or fantasy batch. I can see alot of trading going on if this was the case. It is less likely that I would get one I like, but I love trading too!

Hannah, I have a couple more for you. The leaf one is the one I got from the previous grab, but I traded it already. The little ‘bay’ is for sale too! 😉 He came from the second batch, same as my palomino.

Can anybody tell me what colors the ‘bay’ one are (he looks darker in person, the lighter colors come out in direct light). And what color the pinto one would be?

          *squeee!*

Mine arrived! Yesterday, actually, but I didn’t get a chance to upload pictures until just now. I was really hoping for a pinto, or failing that a blanket appy. And look what I got! He’s adorable, and so cute! He has odd colored eyes, too.

Here is a group picture of all my darlings. Well, our darlings. The leaf one is Jordan’s… sort of. It’s in my cabinet. 😛

Jordan also got his uni today. He isn’t enamoured with the little guy, and even though I really like the dapple effect, I already have a palomino. So this one will be up for sale/trade. We’ll consider *maybe* a candy corn, a safari corn, another normy (dapple?). The only thing that won’t be considered is a normal-color palomino, since I already have one. Or just a sale is good, too.

These are for Hannah – I didn’t realize that you didn’t have these ones on your site yet, you can use these pictures, and any others in this post that you want to. The palomino is from the second batch, when melody was using a stencil for the paint/pinto ones. The leaf is from the leaf/lichen. The silver shadow is from the ‘super natural’ group I think, and the tortoiseshell one is also from that group.

Hannah, yours is my favorite so far. I’m really hoping for a pinto from this round. Though there are so many in the class photo that I like… I’ve been loving everything that is pictured so far! Arg, and mine probably won’t be here before next weekend. It’s so hard to wait!

Oho! So you were the one who won that ruby fellow! Congrats! And thanks for bidding him out of my range… I almost bid, but knew better, so it helped that he went for more than the hundred-buck price that was on him last I saw. ^.^

There are a few that are making me crazy, I can’t wait to see what the answers are!

Ooo. If you have any of the otter ones (aside from “Young and Adorable”) could you PM me please? Thanks!

There are four that I am totally sure of, three that I am pretty sure I got the right species if not the exact right sculpt. Two have me totally baffled.

I’d love another batch of normies. Especially the ‘paint’ ones, with the big patches of color. I’ve got a palomino and a tortoishell so far, and I’d love a nice white/brown/black one to go with them.

I just checked my Mom-Uni and she has a grey nose – much more so than my male.

Whee! Mine arrived today. Green and orange aren’t my favorite combo, so he’s available for trade. You can PM me with offers. I’d be interested in other GB unies (no poads, please). My absolute favorite of this batch are the black ones with lava colored markings. Or maybe production pieces or others. (YOu can use these pics for the directory).

Oh, Pegasus, I think you got one of my top picks! Congrats! I am going to send you a tiny PM (I will keep it short and polite!) just in case you might want to trade. I haven’t gotten mine yet, awaiting it VERY eagerly. International shipments always take so long!

I missed the last bunch – so very happy to snag one from this group! Jordan noticed the email note and jumped up from the computer hollering ‘you need to come take care of this now!’. That was 15 minutes after the email arrived. I was already logged in, with everything all filled out (thank goodness it all auto-fills!).

I can’t wait to see who arrives here! There are lots that I like, but I am hoping for the black with orange lichen, or the black with silver lichen. But there were a whole lot that are gorgeous.

So excited! Who will be the first to get theirs and start the photo thread?

Checking in! I went to work friday morning, knowing it would be a bad drive home, but it was supposed to be almost done by 2pm. And I figured, since work ends at 4:30 by then at least the main roads would be clear.

Nope. Noon. The bosses try to go home for lunch and can’t. So they plow out the driveway, and send us home at 1:30. The main highway was bad. The side roads were impassable. My usual route home is ALL side roads. So I decided to go the long way, take the highway and then down a secondary road. (Not a highway, but paved at least).

It was whiteout and the signs were partly covered, and I had to go so slow I got disoriented, and turned onto the wrong road. By the time I realized it was a freak’in side road and hadn’t been plowed, it was much too late. We’re talking in the deep country, there wasn’t any houses or driveways. Nobody had driven the road before me. It was FLAT I couldn’t even tell where the road stopped and the ditches began.

I don’t even have winter tires!

I just set a straight line, and kept going. Hitting drifts so bad it swept up over the car, I couldnt’ see anything. Nothing. Totally blind. I just kept figuring I would keep going – I had to. If I had stopped or gone in the ditch, the car would have been buried and it would have been days before I was found. I figured I would eventually ditch the car, I couldn’t see so I thought I was for sure going to feel the tires go over the edge.

                                  Kept plugging on.

Got to another side road that I knew. That one at least someone had been down before me. At that point, I was within sight of the house, but still had about a kilometer to go. Kept going and going and it felt like forever. Breezed through two stop signs – I was NOT for stopping, if I had, the car would never have got going. (High engine strength does very badly in the snow! The tires just spinnnnn).

Anyway. Got home, got a good running start at the driveway, and slid into the driveway. Again, it was all flat snow, but we have marker sticks at the sides so I had an idea where to aim… Got into the driveway, and was stuck there. It was too deep to go any further.

Left the car there, went into the house. I was actually trembling. I haven’t trembled with fear… ever. I was so bloody scared I was going to crash and freeze to death on that side road and not be found. It was bad. It was BAD. I’ve driven eight hours from nothern ontario in a blizzard and it wasn’t that bad.

This morning, I went out and dug out the car. It was wedged on snow so deep I had to dig under the car to get it to move, the tires weren’t getting traction because it was actually perched on top of the snow! Then went around and dug out the barn so we could feed and water the animals, and dug paths around the farm to all the outdoor pens. Everybody is loving it, it’s all cozy and warm under a deep snow blanket.

Next time we get a winter warning, I am staying home for the day. Totally not worth it! I didn’t think I would have an excuse for staying home for snow days since we moved, and are now only 5 minutes from work… but I tell you what. Five minutes on side roads when the snow is that deep trumps any time on highway. At least on highways, even if it isn’t plowed, at least you have tire-marks to stay on!
