You might like Robin Hobb (my favorite is the Liveship trilogy) and Sara Douglass. Glen Cook has good stuff too.

I haven’t tried the wolf or the kirin yet, but I did a griffin and a dragon, and found the dragon harder because of all the hard to reach places.

I got a beautiful Venetian mask and a bracelet, along with the ubiquitous chocolates. We’re lifting off to Cuba tomorrow, so we’re saving to buy stuff there instead of gifts here.

Yeah, i do not know of any stores offhand in the Greater Toronto Area that sell Windstones (Green Earth used to but they stopped a few years ago, which is how i got a few of my gargoyle pieces and my dad was able to get me a Peacock Emperor since they were getting rid of their remaining pieces at a big discount) and it really sucks

Try the Green Earth in Burlington. She told me their franchise was different from the others. She still carries Windstone (she still did last summer when I got my Black&Gold male and that’s where I got my Ruby mother). I haven’t called yet for the golds or the emp-peas, but I’m guessing that if she doesn’t have them, she’ll order them.

Oh, oh! You know what? We should get together there and raid the place next year! ๐Ÿ˜€

Did they have an extra peacock young oriental? If that’s the case, can you get it for me?

A few months back, I got a damaged white mother from Skigod. Here are the pictures she had posted:

Well, I had some fun here. I’m not a scuptor, but I managed ok. I used drywall compound:

which has a great feature: you can just wipe it down rather than sanding it, so no damaging the existing paint.
                  After the first wipe-down:

Then I did another coat and wipe-down, etc., and painted her. I was surprised to find an almost match with the Artfolk, Metallic Champagne.

From up close, no one here would be fooled, but from a display distance, she looks fine.(No flash on the first picture, so all the faults are really showing)

In general, I haven’t seen the need to enforce an etiquette. People here are really nice and considerate.

I don’t know if my fellow Canadians heard of this, but check it out! Even if you don’t understand what they say (it’s in French), they’re funny to look at. 3 guys came up with this concept, and the three of them star in these short clips.

A couple months ago someone pointed out that I seemed to talk more then Ski and I said it was just because I was new and everyone was getting to know me and wanted to see my Windstone Dragons. I just calculated it out and I’m now averaging 24.10 messages a day and Ski is still champion at an average of 24.33 and she is talking to everyone all day long so I’m sure our numbers will be more distant in the future!! Plus she has alot more time invested here then I do. At the time I was averaging almost twice as many posts as her.
So I guess we all now know for sure who is the most talkative or chatty whichever way you want to put it!!
                                  Ski congratulations!!
