Actually, some of the older pieces have a less shiny paint. It depends on the colour.

On the pic with the unicorn, he looks like he’s trying to avoid her horn 😂

The very first PYO I got was the first non-flat surface I ever painted. I had no clue what to do!
So start with your base coat, then whatever detail you do, try on the non-display side first. Things may go well from there, or the sculpt may take you in a different direction!
    Have fun with it 😀

Definitely looks better. All the color on the paper towels is a little disturbing to see but it sure is a pretty shade of pink.

    True!

Alternatively, you could set up a waitlist for them with a picture of the not-yet-released item so that people could indicate their interest. Just like you have for the existing items, but with a note that it is not yet released. Announce here and on Facebook.
If you can include the price, it may weed out people who are interested but not actually going to buy.

I like that idea! A “coming soon” item. You could have the description and the explanation that this wait list is to give you an idea of the number you would aim to paint, etc. You could give the price of a similar item, saying it’s ball-park only.

Crackle medium. Not sure if it’s any different from the finish or the paint…

I experimented with crackle paint! I found out that is works better on metallic paint and that you need a very thick layer of it for the crackles to look good. I enjoyed this, actually. I tried it on a keeper, but somehow, it just doesn’t look as nice on that sculpt.
The symbol is a triskel (triskelion, I think in English???), Celtic and very much in evidence in Brittany, where my dad’s side of the family is from.
