So hope I can get a Pumpkin Spice Lady Cat on the wait list. Just got the email notification a few minutes ago, which I tend to rely on more than I should since I don’t check the website enough to keep up with the new releases. These look so great and are purrfect for Halloween. Thanks for making such beautiful creatures as always, Melody!

I bid on Anthem as well, because he is one gorgeous unicorn. I’m super happy you won him though. I don’t think he could go to a better home! This is one of the best things about this forum; I feel like I get to see that all of these items are so loved and appreciated.
So I’m curious as I managed to grab a fancy after almost missing them completely, but Hubby saw me refreshing and finally grabbing one and asked if I wanted him to buy one.
I know there is a one per limit so feel a bit bad if I tell him yes, but I see others in the forum who’s extended family living under the same roof buys a “one per”.
Is it frowned upon to have hubby buying one as well?

I wouldn’t have an issue with this. Even though these items are limited, I would feel bad about limiting family and friends when it comes to buying each other gifts. As long as everyone has their own account, it seems fine to me. It’s sweet that he offered! 🙂
I love this idea! :love: I would pay way more for my favorite pick of the bunch, and to be honest, I am not fond of trading to get my most coveted one from the class photos. It think it would be fair to the people that don’t like the idea of trading very much, and it would really help Windstone at the same time. Please do this! 🙂
I also think everyone tends to like different unicorns, so not all of the favorites would be gone by doing this. And, to be really fair, Melody and Windstone are being so great to do this for us anyway that I think anything we can do to “give back” isn’t too much to ask. Especially if this keeps the grab bags going into the future. With how amazing and detailed the last few batches have been, I’ve been really shocked that the prices have remained so low and many of the unicorns haven’t ended up on eBay rather than in the class photos. Just my 2 cents!
I would love to see images and information on Facebook posted here in general. I never use Facebook at all, and I miss out on a lot here by not using it. It even kept me away from the Windstone site for a few months because of it. I would especially like if any announcements about new products or restocking of older sculptures got posted in both places. I have added my name to email notifications for out of stock pieces I want, but I like the idea of having the Windstone site as my back up. I know it’s a lot of trouble to have that information updated in two places, but I find Facebook too intrusive to use even for my beloved Windstones.
Thanks so much for this information, Jennifer! I had no idea about this, and I’ve considered making a purchase through PayPal as a “personal payment”. I didn’t go through with the purchase for other reasons, but I’m glad to have this information for any future transactions I might consider on this site and others. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain this to all of us. It reminds me what a great and caring place this forum really is!
I too want to vouch for SecertHope! If you have a unicorn for sale, she will give that uni a loving home with lots of unicorn friends. I wouldn’t hesitate to deal with her again. 🙂

Melody, thank you so much! I will love this baby forever, and she is coming to work with me tomorrow. It makes my day when I get to look at something so beautiful during my stressful day. I also know how much love went into each one of these babies, and it means an awful lot to me that you would let these babies go at such a great price and, honestly, even at all. :party:
All of these GB babies have been so lovely and awesome, I need more. lol! I’ve already got a trade for someone else’s GB baby in the works for an extra dragon I have. I’m so excited to get another one of these. I’ll post pictures when I get her too.
I think I may have the one you have circled. I know there was at least one more blue baby from that batch, but I don’t remember the details. I am not interested in selling mine right now, but maybe the other person might be? Maybe some of the other forum members might have a better idea of how many blue baby grab bags were released in that batch too? I’m sorry if the one I have is the one you were looking for though. 🙁

If I posted a pic and said “I really would like to keep this one, so no PMs please”, and still got PMs, I’d just ignore/delete them if I didn’t want to deal with it. Sender feels like they did everything they could at least, recipient chooses if they want to read or not.
I agree with you, Chrisherself. I got a number of PMs already about the pictures of the baby unis I just put up last night. I don’t plan to sell or trade them, and I think I made that pretty clear when I posted the photos. I actually don’t mind the PMs though. I can understand someone liking the grab bag babies I got; I do too! lol 😀 I can also understand why someone might get upset over creepy or excessive PMs too though.
Personally, if I get a PM with a request for something I’ve posted, I just keep it in case I ever sell. If I know I will never sell (like with these two unis), I reply with that, and let it go. If the person keeps sending me requests, I just delete them after that. I don’t log-in here as much as I should anyway, so no one can really bug me too much! lol :p
I hope no one goes into hiding or does not even post their pictures though. Most of us would never bug someone via PM over and over. Anyone who is nervous about posting pictures, please post them. I would love to see your new little ones! If someone is really being overly aggressive or annoying, I bet Jennifer or someone at Windstones would step in if you request help too.
I adore the whole grab bag idea and the beautiful baby unicorns I got, but I can understand why some people have been upset over the experience. I’m excited to see the photos of everyone’s new arrivals, and even if I see an awesome uni I would love to have, I’m thrilled for the new owner. I love seeing how excited people are over their new little ones and how much fun forum members are having trading for new unis. I also understand though why people get angry and sort of obsessive about these grab bags. It’s hard to see something you really want and know you can’t have it. It’s also hard to see these lovely unis and not get one time after time.
I know there are some greedy people out there, but these grab bag editions are made with so much love for us, that I can’t see these grab bags as a bad thing. I hope no one gets too sad about missing the unicorns or lets a few bad apples ruin their fun.
I guarantee Melody will create something just as awesome for all of us next week and the week after that (no pressure, Melody! 😉 ). I try to keep the bigger picture in mind and that there will be more grab bag editions and even more Windstone Editions in general, and that we all are on this website because we love Melody’s artwork. I can’t seem to stay too upset about anything once I think about all the new Windstones coming out in the future!

That’s exactly what I thought too! He’s so blue in person, and the cool thing is the blue eyes in the sculpt with the blue paint make him look kind of like a zombie in certain light. J) I think the iris in the eyes looks like it’s missing and you get this cool glowing blue eye effect. I’ll try to get photos of it when I take the outdoor photos.
I’m so excited to see what other unis look like once people get them home. They always look so different in the home photos.
Sure thing! I’ll take some pictures this weekend outside. I will use any excuse to cuddle and take photos of these baby unis. lol 😀
I mainly collect the dragons, but this last batch of grab bag unis were so beautiful I had to buy my limit of two when I saw them in the store. :love: I am so happy with the two baby unis I have. I don’t plan on buying any more of the baby grab bags (even from future batches past the next 25), so others can get some baby uni love too. I would love to see some grab bag youngs that match the crazy colors of the last batch of grab bag baby unis though. That way I can justify to myself buying just one more unicorn (I can tell my husband it’s a different sculpt!). lol :bigsmile:
I am so hoping for a couple of rainbow or pink young unicorns to be in this upcoming batch. 8) I really hope it will be a big batch so everyone can get at least one to love too.
