I finally got my first grab bag in ages! This particular safari baby didn’t stand out to me in the class pic, but in person it’s quite nice. It has chaos pattern bengal cat markings (I think that’s what they’re called) and matches one of my grab bag cougars. I am happy to keep this baby, but if it’s someone’s favourite, I might consider another safari.
November 30, 2018 at 12:59 pm in reply to: Show Off Thread – GB Baby Unis 11/21/18 Fantasy, Safari & Natural! #1546078I haven’t participated in a grab bag in a long while, but I couldn’t resist getting one of the safaris! I’m hoping to receive a giraffe, okapi, or red panda, or any combination that includes one of those patterns. More likely though, I’ll get one that I didn’t even notice in the class photo but love anyway.
In the meantime, I’ll just enjoy looking at other people’s lovely baby uni photos.
Natasha, I love your grey and white boy with the ice blue eyes!
Here’s my boy. I love the little smirk he seems to have on his face. I also like his gold eyes. I’m perfectly happy with keeping him, but if he is your favorite, just let me know! I need to get a picture of him with my other foxes.Ha! He really does have a little smirk on his face. I love it.
A few new arrivals so…
Wow, that is quite the collection! I am drooling over that fabulous pfau secret keeper; she’s stunning. You’ve also got several really interesting non-Windstone dragons. Could you tell me what the one to the right of the blue morpho rising spectral and the one below the gold spectral are called? Thanks.
January 26, 2017 at 5:49 am in reply to: Now in Stock! New Female Hearth Dragon in Carnelian! #1519386Canada Border Services officers must have been admiring my hearth dragon, because she was stuck there for 3.5 days! Don’t they know how impatient I am to see my new dragon? lol
When she finally arrives, I’ll try and take some pictures of her with ruby and red fire dragons for comparison.
January 18, 2017 at 6:07 am in reply to: Now in Stock! New Female Hearth Dragon in Carnelian! #1519101Yay, I snagged one! I figured that when the hearth dragon was eventually released, it would be in stone finish or a familiar color scheme like peacock. But I love red dragons, and missed out on the rubies and red fires when they were more available, so to get a brand new BIG dragon in red is a huge plus for me.
I’ll have to wait and see how she looks in person, but I might swap out the blue eyes for purple. Carnelian just screams “Magneto!” to me. lol
After following the test paints on Ebay and forum reactions for several years now, it always amazes me to see how differently people can feel towards the same paint job. It really goes to prove the old adage, “different strokes for different folks”. Personally, I think Pfau is very pretty.
The grab bag piece (AS A PEBBLE) I want to see most (and what color/style): cougar (safari)
The grab bag piece (NON-PEBBLE) I want to see most (+color/style): baby unicorn (safari)
The pebble figurine I most want to see alternative LP colors for: horse
The non-pebble figurine I most want to see alternative LP colors for: spectral dragon
The test paint color I most want to see as a limited production line: black sorcery
If a new PYO is created, I would most want to see: a sleeping (western-style) dragon
Given any and all options, the one thing I’m absolutely hoping to see released ASAP is: secret keeper dragon in “gilded rose” (go big or go home, right?)Wowza! Those striped grand unicorns are knock-outs.
Wow, those pebbles are dazzling. I might have to get a couple to keep my black rainbow sparkle grey fox company.
I second this, given that green is also my favourite colour. I remember the Moss dragons were predominantly green and black too. They were gorgeous.
Hey, how about “green morpho”? We’ve already got blue morpho LPs and Monarch test paints, so bring on the green butterflies!
Have you ever put a bid on an auction listing, totally expecting to get outbid? Well, I did that last night, and SURPRISE! I am now the proud owner of the Celestial Sunset lap dragon! 😀 She’s so pretty, I can’t believe I wasn’t bid-sniped at the last second.
I’ll add my voice to the kudos. Looking at the new test paints on Ebay is one of my favourite Windstone “activities”, so I’m grateful to whomever took over that responsibility.
Now I just have to wait patiently for the maple emperor dragon to show up. 😀
A cedar wood OW… *rolls up sleeves* Here I go again. lol
Thanks Etruscan…I’m going to try something similar in size, then I’m logging off before I throw the computer out the window! I am finding this new site extremely frustrating.
I see that Samantha Thomas has a cover photo that actually works. It looks very nice, but I don’t know how she achieved it.
The dimensions of the profile cover photo are 669 by 225 pixels (i.e. 3:1 width to height). If your photo is larger than that, it seems to get scaled down to fit the page width. For best results, make sure your photo has a 3:1 ratio, or else the bottom will get cut off.
