June 19, 1987, I think year of the sheep EDIT: Rabbit, not sheep, and Gemini (my fiancee will attest to the accuracy of the dual personalities, I can either be really nice or a monster :P)
EDIT: According to the Chinese, I am actually a Yin Fire Rabbit, so… I’m a flaming bunny!!! YAY

(hey anyone know how to get slightly larger signature pictures?? – and yes the copyright is on there, it’s the blur on the bottom). The pic was originally about 1.5 – 2x the size but that’s the size that came out.

Didn’t know that – thanks! I just hadn’t seen it anywhere, so I was wondering…

Pixie’s a she 🙂 She’s much older now then in that pic, but her fur faded when she got older so I figured I’d do a ‘young’ pic. She’s probably about 2 in this one.
Lol I JUST found this now! Thanks guys! Yay I feel special now…
Few random facts….
I’m originally from a small town in the middle of nowhere called Valleyview AB – only moved to Edmonton for University.
Right now I’m studying Chemistry, but seem to be doing poorly, so may become a ChemTech.
And probably the only color I don’t like all that much (though hate is always too strong a word) is pink (sorry Ski).
And I am impatient, I ordered some PYO’s on the 5th and I’m not being very patient waiting for them – why isn’t it the 12th – 19th already (they said 1-2 weeks…).
Hopefully I will make some friends on here who actually know what I’m taking about when I gush about my windstones (few though they are). My grandmother bought me one and she still goes, “huh?”. 😛
I’d have to see the color pink that was being considered to vote. I think it would be cool with a pale, maybe dusty and/or pearly pink…
It would make Ski happy for sure, from what I can tell she loves pink 😛
I thought of something, kinda like the Children will be eaten..
“Unattended and/or screaming children will be eaten.”
And a pic, possibly an OW or something else that’s big. Maybe SK?
Oohh! *SQUEAK!* …. Dammit my cat just got interested..
PYO hippogrifs, winged bookends, orientals, flap cats, Pegasus…. just more PYO’s. I would really like some more Keepers to be made but I have to wait *pouts*.
I can’t afford the rest of your stuff so I won’t ask for any of it.
… *SQUEAK* …. and the cat looks at me again. Must want mice…
They all look really cool! I can’t wait to see your June one – are you going to try to get the green color that Alexandrite has in sunlight? (It’s weird, it’s green in sunlight, purple in indoors light – all my chemistry can’t explain that one yet)
Maybe by then I can afford it and buy it from you 😛

I’m using the hazel eyes… more true to color with her inspiration.
This’ll be a trick for my first PYO.
Pics will be posted when there’s something to post.
May 8, 2008 at 5:19 pm in reply to: DRAGON87 PYO's – Green Cheeked Conure Phoenix, pics soon! #698533I am planning on painting this (my parent’s dog, Pixie) on one of the PYO wolves for their birthdays (they are really close so they get the same thing…)
I was thinking of doing a white undercoat, followed by some cream and light brown, and then finished with some dry brushing of black and darker brown for the details in the fur.
Think that will work? Keep in mind that I don’t have antiquing so I can’t fall back on that, and since she has a lighter undercoat with a really dark overcoat that dry brushing would work better anyway.
And hints or tips would be welcome! That’s why I posted the topic.
EDIT: The wolf came in today! Now there’s just one package that I need (the one that I would have needed by tomorrow, go figure) and I’m good.
For people in the Alberta-ish are, Delta Art in Edmonton (by the city airport, not the international, it’s right by Kingsway) carries brands such as Liquitex and Golden – on a regular basis. Also, it was on sale recently, I don’t know if it was because they were old or not.
I don’t think they ship, since my fiancee’s mother has to go to Edmonton from Grande Prairie (5 hour drive) just to get her supplies, but the phone number is,
(780)455 7983.Probably not useful to alot of people but figured I would post it anyway.
I have 2 PYO’s and a peacock young dragon coming in from ebay…
That and a … ah…. tiger? The little round kitty, I know it has tiger in it. But that’s for my roomie.
That’s my splurging, and the peacock was $26!
I had actually heard that Melody had retired! Not the out of business rumor (for Canada) but that Melody had retired and there were no more being made by that company.
I am, of course, assuming that this is not actually true, I thought initially that it was and I was devastated…
Cheerio!
There’s one place in West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada that sells some windstones. They had some of the old greens last time I checked but they might be gone by now.
The place is called Millennium. Very distinctive dragon head front, looks like my stone windstone.
But alot of the ones there are broken, and for broken pieces they are very overpriced. I try not to buy from there.
