awww thanks for liking him kujacker, twindragonsmum, drag0n! (sorry for taking sooo long to respond, but we had some scary computer issues here over the weekend and i just really got it up running again today) thankfully instructions on how to make these are readily available on the internet through forums/livejournal (kinda like here) where kindly folks share construction tips. i already knew how to sculpt (as that’s my thing) so i wanted to try a new medium in the form of costumes. i went over some of the tips found here http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=fursuit
to get the gist of it, then just experimented and found my way as i went. lots of trial and error, but the key is having the guts to try, take your time and being careful doing it, cuz i found it sometimes takes more time to fix a mistake than to totally start over! ugh!also, awesome dragon suit zelda!! he is so expressive-with great legs, lol! i love the digi-grade legs and have been wanting to try my hand at making em for a bit, but i’ve been too chicken.>.<
awesome na’vi too machineguts! what an excellent paint job as it really looks like your skin!! that paint didn’t irritate your skin, or perhaps it was made for use on skin? my boyfriends’ buddy would make the best na’vi as he is wicked tall, as thin as a rail with the long dark hair and funky high cheekbones! oh my gosh it would be hilarious to paint him up…i thought about painting a bodysuit/leotard or something… but getting him to cooperate would be another matter…oh boy halloween! what fun to see everyones’ pics! that really helps to spread the holiday spirit! i myself have also taken to fursuit making the past couple of years (which is where some of my windstone money has gone- to materials!) and its great fun! that’s awesome Drag0n that your work let you wear yours! 😀 you had to have been roasting though, wearing it inside with no air movement! ugh! your suit is the perfect color to be in the spirit of home depot! 😉
i wore one of mine out for a halloween walk held in town here. the town shop keepers dress up and hand out candy in the daytime, so its very “safe” for all the paranoid folks out there who are afraid of their own neighbors and don’t want their kids getting “poison” candy from them! lol! and its good for business! anyhoo, its great fun to work the crowds and kids and pose for pics! 🙂 i handed out candy too on halloween night in suit, much to the surprise of the kids to see me answer the door! in between batches of kids i waved at passing cars n trucks with them honking, waving back or howling at me, which was wicked fun too!
this was my # 2.5 suit.. as in it was my second bodysuit, third head, and second pair of feet that i’ve made thus far. i’m still learning! i made his vest too so he was all festive. ^.^ i look to get away from this cute toony style (its great for learning on) and go more realistic/fantasy/mythology/monster style for future suits, as that is my natural style.

i have been watching the forum though- i know i don’t log in much or post but i’ve been loosely keeping up on things here…….there has been just so much to keep up after in day to day life- i just can’t keep up in my old age! >.< money has been tight too (trying to get life on track) and its tough to look at all the pretties with so little $$.
i did have a great birthday though!! 😀 a great day away certainly helps to put life in perspective, breaking the monotony and helping you realize what is truly important day to day and long term in life! i hope you all are well, and hope to get back on here was the crazy summer levels off for me! <3
oh boy! for me it has to be the labradorite lap dragon!! that piece was simply beyond incredible, just so beautiful, perfect and how i imagine a *real* dragon would look like. she looked sooo alive and delectibly shiny in every photo! truly an extraordinary piece and a real triumph!

in rhode island we got dumped on with a nor’easter storm leaving us with 16+ inches of snow.. so its a total white christmas there(what a mess to dig out of)….currently i’m in upstate new york with family and we have just enough token snow on the ground to be festive. it snowed here the day before xmas eve when we were out doing our last shopping and it was just soooo beautiful… that *perfect* storybook amount of snow, with just the right of sunlight peeking through(oddly enough) to make it sparkle as it fell and on the ground. it was the rare type where you could see every perfectly formed snowflake- so cute and perfect!d’awww thankies MG!! I appreciate it! i’ll take all the GOOD luck I can over here right now, lol. i definitely need a run of good luck for a change, as i know many other folks do too. thanks for diggin’ my pyos.. its not really in my nature to paint,(my passion is sculpting) but I try to squeeze out the painting work on the pyos. i’m really going to try to get these pieces done over the winter.. i have a cabinet full of em, all half done! >.<
i’ve been up to a bit of costume making lately, rather than the pyos, so i have to post pics of them and the fun i had out with them in the community section real soon! =^.^=da sale on these guys is over here, so the OW and lap are heading to ebay, along with a couple of griffin chicks which i will post in a day or so. thanks y’all!
i’m pretty desperate for funds, as i had a dog break a tooth friday and will probably need surgery shortly to get the root out and we had major hour cuts at my work effective immediately,( i got cut 1/3 of my normal already-too-few hours) so i’m going to probably be selling quite a bit of pieces between here n ebay in the next month -plus to come. i have a ton of pyos that i’ve been trying to finish up for the past like 2 years, so time to get crackin’ on those too! anyhoo, keep checkin’ back for more goodies from me! :bye:just a friendly reminder that these guys end tonight at 10 pm est if anyone is interested! i lowered the price on the OW a little too! thanks guys! off to work for me! >.<
awwww thanks pegasi!! i’m glad you’re still happy with that little sea dragon! I was looking thru my old gallery of pyos on here the other day on here and saw him, and said to myself ” oh maaan, I remember him, he came out so cool!” he was a real pretty little guy with a enjoyable-to-look-at paint job.^.^ he was really one of my faves!
*updated the first post with the addition of the ruby lap*ok, so after seeing NicoleH’s ad that she was looking for a white OW and that GBs’ big OW sale drummed up so much interest, I figured I would offer up my White OW to a new home. I dearly love my OW’s, but some good old fashioned $$ could really help right now on a lot of levels, so I think i’ve convinced myself I could part with him for the greater good of everything. NicoleH found one just before I offered her mine, so here he goes if anyone is still looking for one and will give him a loving, appreciative home.
he is mint just like right out of the box and is clean n dust free with his mint box, bag, tag, certificate and envelope. this piece is signed of course and has a nice clean signature, with the creases in the felt just being from the piece laying on the tag to protect the signature on the shelf. he has the teeniest air bubble in his eye which is only visible in juuuust the right light and angle while holding him close. I included a pic of it,but again it is wicked tiny.he’s a really nice piece with great golden shading, etc.
I figured I’d start taking offers at $400 with shipping INCLUDED, with in the U.S. shipping only cuz he is so big and heavy.but enough of that, on to this handsome fella…(offers will be taken til wednesday, dec 2nd at 10 pm est.)

adding in my MIB ruby lap dragon! this lap is in the more current, light stable, candy apple shade of red. my photos made her look darker than she is in real life, so i took an extra pic of her on my work desk,which is the FIRST PHOTO, which shows her true coloring best. she is NOT the old dark cranberry color; i have had pieces that were that color in the past (the ruby baby oriental for example) so i do know how to compare the two. 🙂 she is mint, dust free, with her attached tag (which has only a few light scruffs from the shelf) box n bag.
