That’s awesome! Congrats! I woke up one morning (wee hours), first catch was a shiny growlithe. Turned over and went back to sleep. Best start to the day! XD
Definitely can’t go wrong with Windstones or Pokemon!
It’s so high quality. I’ve never bought one of the more expensive plush from the Pokémon Center.
He is completely posable. All the “joints” and fire areas have high quality joints and stuff.
I’m super happy you guys love him 😆
(I couldn’t help getting the Growlithe funko. Arcanine has been my favorite since I was 8, and I still play every day).
Arcanine is my favorite as well! I need another shiny growlithe in PoGo, so I can evolve one into a shiny Arcanine! <3
Finally, and so they don’t feel left out, a picture of my sand bantam! 🙂
And close-ups of 165 original. It really is softer in person and less saturated (the green especially is a bit softer). I think the clones ended up brighter than the original. It really does remind me of wisteria.
*squee!* :3
Close-ups of 45c. Again, the colors are a little saturated. The little gold dots on the chest were a very nice surprise! This one reminds me of the Sunset Secret Keeper (I forget the official name) that Olimpia painted, which was inspired by the rare sunsets you get on the West coast where you get a momentary flash of green!
More close-ups of 32J. The blue tone is really being picked up and the overall coloring a bit darker/saturated than in person, but I lacked sunlight. It poured right after photos were taken. It reminds me of a November sky at sunset in the Northeast.
I really haven’t gotten a lot of Windstones in a while (moving around, personal life issues, etc.). At least, not since the GB Orientals last Feb. So, I splurged a little. I have from left to right, #45c, Sand, original 165, 32J, and 115G. These are nice in photos, but soooo much prettier in person! I absolutely love the ones that came to me! <3
Some close-ups of 115G.
August 5, 2020 at 12:35 pm in reply to: A Large Collection Will Be For Sale Over The Coming Months #1624856The PYO unicorn by Jessica (not Joseph) Frye arrived yesterday and is getting acquainted with some of my other unicorns. I feel like the painter is a forum member or a former forum member because I vaguely remember the name from somewhere.
It is possibly the one from bluepony78 as there is a date of 6-07 on the bottom.
The dappled grey was done by Brianne M. Sifert in Oct. 2008. She is/was on the forum and if I remember correctly did the unicorn using pastels. I just can’t remember her forum name. I can’t remember if I commissioned it or bought it after she finished it and put it up for sale.
Both of them for now are in their forever home.
That is correct! I ‘painted’ the dapple grey almost entirely with chalk pastel powders. The red stones in the mane and tail are actual, very teeny tiny, rubies.
I’m around, just not terribly talkative. 🙂 The last year or two proved to be exceptionally hard on a personal level, but things have definitely improved.
Oh, and since someone mentioned pieces from the collection not from this sale, I also own the Crocus fledge, painted by Jennifer Miller (Nambroth) from ddvm’s collection, purchased a few years back (not for sale).
In order, I gave a list of ones I was most interested in (there were a lot of others!): 45, 165, 129/130, 115, 164, 6, 34. Honestly, I’d be happy with just about any of them, but I was contacted that I have 165. ^_^ It reminds me of lilacs or wisteria. <3
February 22, 2019 at 3:00 pm in reply to: Grab Bag Young Sitting Oriental Dragon Showoff Thread #1558306Now for the wild. This one looks very much like an Easter egg. Very bright and very cheery. Definitely feels like this one is ready for Spring! This one is on the bottom row of the third wild picture, third dragon from the right.
February 22, 2019 at 2:58 pm in reply to: Grab Bag Young Sitting Oriental Dragon Showoff Thread #1558302I was lucky to be able to get two. It’s been a rough two years and I’m moving in about a month, so I decide to treat myself to a couple of dragons for some luck. ^_^ I didn’t really have any expectations of what I was hoping to get, since all the dragons are beautiful and I’m quite happy with the dragons who chose to come my way. The colors are very soft.
First, the koi is the second dragon from left in the second row.
February 17, 2019 at 7:18 pm in reply to: Show off your Kickstarter Poads! (WARNING: Picture heavy!) #1557835I can post my poads from the kickstart sometime after I move, but, aside from a few beans I refuse to open, and thus will be a surprise, until after I move in April, I have this picture I can share. There are also some Podge brown and albino beans received as well. I also received Sir Garlen.
So, there was a bit of an adventure getting mine, but I finally was able to rescue my box from chibishiro12 and open it this morning. Yeeee!!! Thank you so much! ^_^!
Tank is already enjoying his treats!
I will try to add a photo later from my laptop (the phone image file size is too large to post directly).
Due to some current health issues and some private matters I’m sorting out, I have to bow out on this one. Hopefully I’ll be in a better place to be able to participate in the spring. I think this is the first one I’ve had to skip. :\ I do look forward to what people come up with who do participate though!
Here is my small clutter. I will also have a Podge mini bean Poad and 4 other mini bean Poads of unknown colors joining these and Sir Garlen.
