hopefully you can still go on that vacation with someone else, it will do you good to get away….
That is probably the best idea ever. Take a gal pal along with you if you can! Though I’d do my best to resolve as much as possible with the dirty rat before you go (change those door locks!)–getting away for some fresh air would do you well, but not if you came back to have a bunch of your stuff stolen. 🙁
OH, that fledgie!!!! And it might be safe to assume there will be other sculpts in this new color too. Ack! I don’t know what to go for! Guess I’ll try for the rock dragon first and then go from there!
^This. I don’t particularly like the fledgling/baby sculpts. However, if this scheme shows up on a lap dragon, I plan on selling a kidney. I don’t have any of the big/”new” dragon sculpts and I am loving those colors soooo much.
I’m kind of on the fence with my grab. I don’t dislike it, but I’m not head over heels for it either. If you really like her and would be interested in trading, send me a PM.
She has a blending of different colorshift paints. Most of her body is blue-purple that looks more magenta than not, with yellow-green hooves and ears and pink inner ears. Her collar is pink with blue stripes and her bib is purple with berries painted on it (lavendar with green leaves).

Would it be possible to see a blue/silver or purple/silver color shift paint? Not that I particularly mind the current color combos available; I’m just curious because that sort of color mixing is most appealing to me.
Here’s my purple/green color shift. Since I couldn’t get to her until after the sun had went down, I don’t have any pictures with natural lighting…I had a fun time trying to photograph her regardless!

Happy Birthday Natasha!
Sorry to hear about that horrible accident at your workplace. 🙁
I prefer teas but most of what I end up drinking is coffee, if only because it’s faster to make. I tend to prefer cold drinks over hot.
I’m also quirky in that when I drink my coffee hot at home, I start with a packet of hot chocolate and add the coffee to that rather than milk or a creamer. I’m sure I’m breaking some unspoken rules about mix-and-matching drinks but it’s a great way to sweeten and flavor the coffee.
Happy Birthday!
Hannah: Thanks for the info! I’ve heard the term quagga thrown about but I think conceptually I just thought of them as brown zebras, rather than the pictures you linked where they had a solid rump.
anichol: Thanks! I was so very excited to work out a roundabout trade for her (she was my #1 pick from the pack) and I just love her subtle color phasings.
Natasha: Congratulations on the cayenne unicorns! I’m glad to see you managed to snag the entire family. 🙂
I’m with prezaurian on this. It is a little bit of a game to see if I can figure out some of the bidders. And it also has kept me from bidding on some items, when I thought I knew who was bidding and knew that they were really after a certain sculpt based on comments on the ebay thread. (and other times I went ahead and bid – all’s fair in love and Windstones J) ) And I LOVED that cayenne set of unicorns and bid on both the daddy and the momma, but lost out. I would have loved to bid on the baby but when I saw the same person won both, I chose not to bid because I was sure they would want the set and I didn’t want to mess that up. Had I NOT known it was the same bidder, I would have gone after that baby with a vengeance.
Confession – I will admit there was a stretch when I was getting REALLY frustrated over a certain sculpt that was all going to the same bidder, but that’s the breaks and I am TRYING to be more adult about it. 😉Oh, and I personally didn’t think anything about Kim’s comment, I took it as just an observation.
This is pretty much my mentality on the whole situation, so I second prezaurian and aggie.
I’m adult enough to appreciate when other people wins things–especially if they’re some of the nice people on this forum–but I’m human enough to understand my selfish impulses, which mostly stem from simply not having the money to do what I’d like to do. I don’t hold it against people when they win though I can and do become bitter (towards my situation, not other people) at times I lose pieces I really love.
And, as etruscan said, it is very heartbreaking to come back into Windstones and see all that I’ve missed. Even if I have an opportunity to potentially obtain a piece I really like via a trade, there’s a much higher probability someone who’s been here even a year longer than I have will have a more valuable/desirable item to use as barter. At times it feels like a repetetive lose-lose situation and there’s not really anything I can do besides try to remain optimistic towards future grab bags + Ebay special items.
So yes, in that regard, it does suck. But that is MY problem, and I don’t lash out at other people because of it.

On another note, orange is not one of my colors in the least. But I do like the monarch butterfly scheme. So far I think the lap displays it best, though the old warrior would be a close second.
Wow Rylorian, really liking that green and black tad with purple spots. looks like a sibling to one of mine. Maybe they are half siblings?
They absolutely could be! Or even full siblings for that matter. Take tortoiseshell kittens from the same litter, for example, sometimes similar, sometimes very different, but undeniably cute regardless. 😉
I love seeing those blue jay pegasi. In general I found that scheme captivating so it’s great to see more pictures of them in different light settings.
My new year with Windstone started out wonderfully, with some amazing ladies on the forum helping me to obtain my top two safari poads. (A very big thank you to them!) Now I just need to get my hands on a silver bengal from this batch…grrrr…
This is Dawon, with Bindi and two as-of-yet unnamed AWD tads (leaning towards Sarama and Rudra).
I haven’t figured out a name for this gal yet. I fell in love with her in the teaser photos, which is surprising because in general I don’t find myself drawn to duns (or simple schemes for that matter). She’s a bit of a strange mix–not quite zebra, not quite dun, with a white belly to boot, and beautiful dark grey eyes (plus her throat is dark grey and the crest of her head is white…such an unusual beastie!).
And finally, I’m reposting my hoppy teal-and-white family here, to roundout the beginning of this year for me. 🙂
This is my humble conga line. I only wish it were something more impressive than tadpoads…but they’re basically 50% of my Windstone collection now. I might have went a little overboard with the grab bag tadpoads. *cough*
These are all of my ‘keepers’, excluding the pink poison dart-ish one who is in my sale/trade ad (she’s grown on me, though, for all that I don’t like pink so I’m really reluctant to part with her).
Betrluk, you have some crazy cute tadpoads! And Chloe, those minikeepers! So pretty!
Happy belated birthday!
Thank you for all your hard work! 🙂
Nightcrow, you have me colored with envy. 😉
That is one heck of a rainbow! So gorgeous!
