Count me as one of those germ phobes. I don’t wear gloves all the time, no, but I have rules about when I have to wash my hands, like after I touch a trash can or after I blow my nose. It’s not fun during the winter and when I have a cold- dry hands. XP
To be honest, my mind isn’t the most well-put together and I have social phobia- being in large groups are crowds kinda freak me out. I get clausterphobic when surrounded by dozens of people. Again, not fun, and it did NOT come in handy when I was shortly attending college. π‘
Yeah most of my phobias are more serious than funny, sorry. I’m scared of needles. I can watch House, Scrubs, and MASH all the time just fine, but when they get out the needlees: AHHHHHHHHHH!
Those of you who may have visited any of my art galleries may have noticed I get shy about drawing dragons. The full truth is, there is SO many variations on the dragon I don’t know how to properly design my own. A dragon can look like almost anything, and that kinda intimidates me. I do doodle orientals from time to time, but that’s about it- unless it’s somebody else’s design.
Anyway, this was a picture I did on commission- teeny little dragon who goes by Hida taking a snooze on my coyote alter-ego’s nose. Oh the cute!
And just in case Melody lurks around here, I know she loveths the comics, and I did one just for fun over the past couple days:
I’d imagine being flicked by a robot like Lillian would hurt more than having coinage thrown at you- and if that hasn’t happened to you, be thankful, it hurts a lot. π‘ Stupid middle school bullies.
Back to the salt mines!
I’m one of those people who had a hard enough time ripping tags off Beanie Babies, which are what, $5-$7 little plushes, so me having the willpower to rip off a Windstone tag? HAAAA!
My Peacock O. Sun Dragon had no hang tag when I bought him, so at least I don’t have to worry about him. XD
December 29, 2006 at 10:53 pm in reply to: Woe is me trying to find more dealers for my area #521333Are those plastic, too? Either way, ACKF! XD
Some of the ones had monarch butterfly wings, but they looked to be made of the same stuff most Godzilla figures are made of- a kinda bendy rubber/plastic stuff. XP In fact, I think I may have seen some Godzillas among them…8D
That’s crazy and I think cool- but I’ve been around the online art communities where I’ve seen things like purple wolves and such so wild colours aren’t new and shocking to me. XD We’ren’t your past watercolour ones a bit more washed out, or did you just choose more subdued colours? For some reason this reminds me of the bright bold things kids would paint- and that’s not a bad thing!
No Windstones for me. My folks had to spend a lot of money on household upgrades (I gots a new room, at least) and my mom is in the habit in buying and hoarding jewerly from jewlery TV. She’s like a griffin, she likes to watch them glisten and shine.
I have to admit, I’ve been watching some of my gift jewelery glisten and shine, too, but that’s another story. XD
I wonder how much money of jewerly I got that could’ve gone into buying either of the Mother Griffin Gargoyles I watched like a hawk this season. π
December 29, 2006 at 10:32 pm in reply to: Woe is me trying to find more dealers for my area #521329I dunno, I just like telling stories sometimes.
I live in the college town of Columbia, Missouri, and we have an awesome downtown shopping district. I had known of the store Cool Stuff way back even I lived in Jefferson City, Missouri, and when I came back from California to live in Columbia and visited the stores, I was shocked to see desptie all the wonderful candleholders, other sculptures, and all and all fantasy-ish eclectic stuff, there were no Windstones.
So, I tried to fix that and tried to give the address to Windstone. I wasn’t sure if they were too close to another dealer that was in the downtown district, but I decided to give it a shot. Columbia needs more Windstones!
Anyway, I went back a couple weeks ago in the height of Christmas shopping, and lo and behold, they had new dragons- CRAPPY PLASTIC new dragons. They were hideous. I wondered if it was a coincidence or what- did they reject Windstone and decide to go for the cheap stuff? Or is it just my imagination and they were just trying to cash in because of Eragon and there’s a chance they may carry Windstone?
I have no freakin’ clue. But I’m an eternal pessimist and a bit paranoid so I bet you can guess what I felt was the answer. π
Okay, storytime over. XD
I noticed that, which is probably why I didn’t notice it earlier today. *was dumb and sat in front of the computer a lot today* Sometimes if things don’t have gallery pics my brain doesn’t even register them. XD
Nam’s griffs definatly deserve shiny gallery pics. π
Woah. @.@ I thought getting my black griffin for $65 BIN a year or so after it retired was a deal. I know retract that statement. XD

Next month will be fine. Unless for some reason I get flooded….HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH yeah, sure. XD
December 29, 2006 at 9:34 pm in reply to: More shameless plugging…I draw glowy stuff for monies #521299Heylo,
I’m not having much luck elsewhere, and I dunno, times are getting lean for me, and I need to pull out my precious black paper again.
I’ve done peices on black paper like these:
Silendre | Scar being all spooky-like and others, but I don’t think I’ve been pushing what I can do with that paper enough. I want to do something bright and shiny and glowy. But I don’t have any brightly coloured characters.Would any of you have any dargons or griffins or any other creature that would compliment black paper?
I do peices like these for $25 USD. These are coloured pencils on 9″ x 12″ black paper. Shipping the original within the US would be a flat $5 via shipping tube- and I have them up the wazoo, so no worries on that. I’d prefer PayPal.
I feel like such a sellout buuuuuuut…any takers?
Man, why didn’t I read this thread before? I laughed out loud when Ski mentioned “The Bell Jar”…I see it, too! (No artificial tree for me, though. π )
We lurkers are merciless oppurtunists, I’m afraid. >) (No, it wasn’t me…I wish I had two of those clawfoot holders sitting around!)
My post office seems to like me, I got my cookies and they all seem to be whole.
They’re wonderful and still soft; my family told me to thank you on their behalf. π
December 24, 2006 at 7:30 am in reply to: Lillian wishes you a Happy Holiday (FLASH ANIMATED woah) #519687Clickeze for animation!
Be careful, there’s sound, and I’m a little loud! XDThis was my first real foray on my own into Flash animation, and I did it in four evenings. XD First time I lip…..ERRRR, beak-synched anything. And YES that is my extra-loud voice, I’m seriously scared by it. I asked my parents if I really sounded like that, which they responded with a resounding “YES” and I cried. π (KIDDING!)
Look for East-ERRR, CHRISSMUSS Eggs in the last screen. It’s like Homestar Runner, only lamer! 8D
Some things were shortcutted, but it’s Flash so I can do things like that. π
BTW, Gruffin is responsible for the “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer” idea. Here it is, three years later. XD
*flees*
Also echoing the w00t because I got my print today. Arrg, now I want to keep it. (It’s supposed to be a present.) No worries on funny alignment, I’m getting it matted, actually. π (Yeah, lotsa money…Christmas comes only once a year, thankfully. π )
Thank you so much!
