Happy to see the Windstone family is holding up ok! (It’s Jaz for anyone who knows me. Used to work at Windstone)! I’m out of work thanks to The ‘Rona, coz I’m employed at a Doggy Daycare / Boarding facility so we rely solely on income from people who are traveling or otherwise can’t be at home. And right now in WA state, that’s nobody! I hope things start looking up sooner than later. This is a lot for my already anxious brain. As for now, I’m just taking it day by day and trying my damndest not to feel overwhelmed. Melody’s Amabie is my new phone background for the time being! ^^

@LuvsDragons If it helps, I do almost all of my shopping online and tracking not, well, tracking… actually happens ALL the time (and just as StormDancer says), especially around the holidays. It’s almost always the fault of the package handlers not scanning that crucial first scan, but that shouldn’t effect it getting to you on time! It is, however, very frustrating. It would be ideal if the seller would stay in contact with you, even if he isn’t 100% sure what to do about the issue. The holidays are always a difficult time for communications, though. Dx I hope everything works out and that your son gets his gift in time.
@Benathorn signed up on Eldemore (Username: “MUTT”)! CS always interested me but I didn’t jump on the bandwagon early enough and now it’s hard to get into. Naturally Eldemore is super enticing for that reason. I love the christmas cuttlefish out right now!
I liked Furvilla. Anthro animals are fun and fresh. Less pet game, more managing a village. Strangely, I wasn’t a fan of the art style. The cutesy chibiness of it. Works well for something like Goatlings, but felt weird in Furvilla for me, even though it’s really pretty art! I’m definitely keeping my eye on the game though. They’re adding new content all the time.
It never did get above freezing, and I have stuff to do, dang it! D: snow days would be a lot more fun if we got some nice fluffy snow instead of just a slew of hazardous driving conditions. Oh well, more time huddled with the family. Our furnace broke TODAY so we are sapping our dogs for their warmth. 😛
I’m so glad I came back to check up on this thread! Commissions, you say? I may just have to hit you up for one of those! I’d be curious to know what kind of stones you have in your stash, and what kinds of leaves and fruits you’ve pulled off in the past. And colors, too! They’re all so gorgeous. I’m excited for that Etsy shop. I think you’d do pretty well. 🙂 I know I want one, and can think of at least three people in particular who would love them as gifts come birthdays and anniversaries. Wish I’d thought of them pre-christmas-shopping!

My Link is just 4 1/2 y.o. and happy and healthy, but I still get emotional seeing other white shepherds around. Just last week I saw a lady holding a 9 wk white shep puppy walking into PetCo and even though I had my purchases and was heading to my car, I had to run back in and ask her if I could pet, take photos for my fiance at home. I squished the pup’s little paws and looked into her face, almost identical to Link’s as a baby, and almost started blubbering so I had to leave kind of awkwardly LOL. They’re such wonderful dogs. Smart as anything, loyal to a fault. A real treasure.
@Dragoneer_88 I’d say you made the right decisions in all those instances! I really respect the reason behind why learning to ride was your dream. It was clearly about that connection with the horse and not about power or glamor. The world of riding is full of all types. I was going to suggest looking for a stable or rescue where you could volunteer time but it seems you had the same thought and that there are no opportunities around you at the moment. I think that’s definitely the way to go though. Hopefully you’ll find a place, or a person with some pet horses, who will welcome you to spend some time around the stables! You may well be able to have a more profound experience mucking stalls or grooming horses than you would riding ones who aren’t familiar with you at first. There are still some very good lesson stables around too, but it can be so hard to find places with the right mindset. Maybe look into some trail riding type scenario? 🙂 I know you’ll get to realize your dream yet, one way or another!
I just hope my latest aquarium setup cycles quickly and without issue! And that a couple verryyy last minute christmas gifts work out (I’ll be making some candles which I’ve never attempted before). Also, I found this online today:

You beat me to making a Happy Halloween thread! It’s my favorite holiday, and this time around it’s a three-day one! Last night we attended a costume party. I was a dragon, Ted (the fiance) wore a Pikachu kigurumi, and the kids (dogs) were a shark and Link the elf, respectively. I only have photos of them handy, though. They really enjoy costumes and parties! There were two other dogs there to play with all night. Hope these pictures work!
