There is no time limit to when Canadian citizens are being allowed home, so far. They just have to self-quarantine for two weeks after they do so. This has turned out to be a hardship for my Canadian friend who returned on Monday, and days later found out her mother is dying. She has been denied visiting rights, even outside the hospice. Her mother is unable to Skype or Facetime because she does not have the ability to recognize anyone through that medium any longer, and same for a phone call. My friend is utterly heartbroken she cannot say goodbye to her mother.

Does it even have to be a Kickstarter? I believe Melody said there were 128 of the special Bantam dragons That’s about the size of a regular grab bag. Or, if people didn’t want to take that much of a chance on getting a dragon they don’t like, revive the “Special Section” in the store and put them all in there as individuals.
It got done for the grab bag cougars. Why not these too? It would be an easier way to track who wants copies of certain colors too, with the “Waitlist” button. Sure the first person gets that one, but then as many people who want the same can sign up and wait for Melody to paint them. I am still surprised Kickstarter is so bad at tracking what backers want.

Speaking personally, I had planned to purchase three dragons. If the Kickstarter went live today I would be purchasing one. That’s my current balance of wanting to support Windstone and get lovely art, but the anxiety of all that’s going on right now. I obviously can’t say if in the future I’d be back up to purchasing three, but I think it would be more likely to go up. Unless I’m dead, then, woohoo! I hope you all miss me 😉
Same here regarding quantity. I was going to do three, but now only one in these uncertain times, and not even a colorful one, but one of the white ones. 🙁

I would say postpone until summer, and maybe no grab bags either for a few months, since money and job security is a fear with a lot of people now. Maybe now is a good time to be dedicated to fulfilling waitlist items in the website store? Or filling in “”holes” in the production line, like new sitting oris in production colors, or something like that. At least those are things some people are looking forward to that provide some kind of certainty without stress (no wondering how fast a grab will sell out, no hoping/pleading for a good grab, no worries about trading).
Predictability feels like a good idea for now.

The plan is -claims are final. HOWEVER, two people could agree privately to switch dragon claims and we could trade them here to avoid shipping cost of swapping afterward.
This would prevent what I am worried about, a cascading effect of switches… for example, two people want “Trainwreck”. The person who has claimed him then decides that they’d rather have “Dumpster Fire”, now the second person switches from “Garbage Truck” their second choice they had claimed, to “Trainwreck”. Then the person who really wanted “Garbage Truck” puts back their dragon, “Dry Rot”, and so on.Melody, I am worried that you may be feeling a little negative, considering your choices of dragon names? LOL
