I was like Melody as a kid! Only it wasn’t fish.. it was birds. Like she said, other kids were thinking about drugs or boyfriends… I was out banding wild birds with the state!
Though now my fishtanks are a real handful, too… In my lovely need to be overly artistic and retarded, I decided I need to keep discus in heavily planted tanks. This involves daily partial water changes on two tanks, lots of food prep for the discus, daily water tests, ferts for the plants, etc etc. I’m a glutton for punishment.

My art: featherdust.comI was watching this one too. This griffin has been listed previously- does anyone remember? They had listed it as a featured item and had a very high reserve and BIN price. The seller pulled the auction the first time before it ended (I know because I had put a bid in) and then relisted it, and it ended with no one meeting the reserve.
Very weird.

Hmmmm…If I still had the ugly ki rin, I would have tested her with that! I think I will go and report her to Ebay. She could very well be a fraud….Aaaaannnnddddd I just reported her. I will keep an eye on her profile to see if she gets deleted. *Snickers*
You should have told her “well it’d be easier for you to just send me your camera and I can send it back when I’m done!”. See how she felt about sending valuables to a complete stranger! 😆 How crazy!

Whichever you are more comfortable with! Ordering though my site is basically just emailing me, anyhow, so you are welcome to choose. 🙂

My art: featherdust.comAw, thanks Ski!
And GB, I used to use a mouse. Some of the pieces in the “older works’ gallery were painted this way. These days though, I use a Wacom tablet, which is a wonderful tool. It’s a plastic stylus that is shaped like a pen, and as you move it over the tablet surface, it controls the cursor like a mouse would. It makes it feel a lot more like real painting! 🙂

My art: featherdust.comCherylKaufman wrote:pffft- the kind you find in, sadly, Petsmart. Mostly the Arrowleaf ones…I had one of those spawn a new plant and some other one that’s broader leaf arrow looking but very pretty- also spawned a new being because a leaf broke off at the juncture where it wwould still grow roots. I’d have to take pictures. But I WOULD love to get some semi-foreign plants in my tank that I can’t find in the local pet stores.
I have a hard time finding plants locally as well. IT sounds like they’re selling you different sword species. I had a GREAT supplier for anything I wanted when I lived in Houston, but that is not the case where I live now. So sometimes I buy stuff on aquabid.com … it’s like eBay for fish geeks. Most of the people on there are very nice and last time I won some plants (with free shipping, woot!) the guy threw in extras for me. Just check people’s feedback as you would on eBay if you decide to use it.
I’m slowly, slowly saving up for a CO2 system for my big tank (I’m telling you, keeping pets is why I can’t afford Windstones, 😆 ), after I get that set up I’m hoping my different hygrophylia species will take off, and I’ll need to trim them. I can send you trimmings if you ever want! They’re growing kinda slow right now, so maybe in a few months. 🙂Volunteer mod- I'm here to help! Email me for the best response: nambroth at gmail.com
My art: featherdust.comHey guys, I feel REALLY silly doing this, but I figure if I don’t do this here than no one would ever know, really. And I know a few of you have asked me about prints in the past sooo…
If anyone wants a print (or more) and wants it in time for Christmas, please let me know! I will be placing my last prints order with my printing company on December 1st (this upcoming Friday!). If you’re interested in ordering a print of any of my work please let me know either via PM or via email. I will continue to take orders after this date of course but only orders taken on or before December 1st are guaranteed to arrive to you before Christmas (within the US). I can only accept Paypal or credit card due to time constraints on ordering, I apologize!
Best of all, if you order before December 1st, I’ll do FREE shipping within the continental USA (this doesn’t count for discounted prints or art on my website/eBay).
I sell 80+ year archival quality giclee prints of my artwork and photos. My printing company uses archival papers with a matte finish. I hand sign each and every one of my prints. Most of my paintings and all of my photography is available as prints. Pricing below is for matte finish prints. I can special order other styles and even prints on canvas should you desire, please contact me for pricing info.
Sizes and pricing are as follows, all prices are in USD and do not include shipping. Please note that some pieces are not available in larger sizes due to having a smaller resolution, and some of my art is available only in certain proportions due to the shape of the work (for example, the Corvid Triptych can be ordered either at three seperate prints or one panoramic print) Any questions are always welcome on what I can print!
8.5″ x 11″ – $10.00
9″ x 12″ – $18.00
11″ x 14″ – $20.00
16″ x 20″ – $30.00
Larger and oddball sizes available, please inquire for price quote. For future reference, my prints are not printed on a home printer, but at a professional printing company, and as such can take up to 14 business days to be printed and delivered to you, so please let me know ahead of time if you have a rush order.
Some of my work can be located in the Windstone Staff Gallery, or my website:

My art: featherdust.comCherylKaufman wrote:What a creepy guy. When I was a kid I had to have has 7-10 fish tanks just in my bedroom because I was breeding bettas and had community fish. I find my one 37 gallon aquarium is rather low maintenance. Just need to change filters and water and we’re good. My tank is beautiful- complete with real plants but nothing like Nams. I ENVY her aquarium! Hey Nam, want to ship me some plants???
Hey, once I get my tank up to speed with plants (growing them takes time, and I have to populate a little 6gallon nano as a Christmas gift) and I start to have to trim them up I wouldn’t mind! What kinds of plants do you keep?

I’ll have a go at fixing him up. 🙂 I don’t mind paying shipping. I’ve been trying to win broken things on eBay but to date haven’t gotten a single piece. Ah well 😉

My art: featherdust.comSilverArrow wrote:I contacted Karen. She said that the Sea Jewel mermaid had been retired for some time (and they are now out of them at the factory), but no word yet on the sconce. Apparently they still have some left to paint at the factory, but they’re not sure if they will produce more or not after that.
Weird! My apologies. The are still on the list I have as available. My mistake. 😳

(Not that most people I meet think furry is ick, but most furries I meet think most people think furry is ick, if that makes any sense. Paranoia, whee!)
Yeah.. it helps that she’s met several before though, I think! 🙂
I’ve been to a con (AC) and, well.. there are a lot of scary people out there. A lot. XD But any fandom has its scary crowd, and not all of them are bad. I have several friends that identify with the furry group and they are nice, normal* people. 🙂
*normal as in not scary! XD I don’t really know anyone that is ‘normal’- what IS normal, anyhow??

My art: featherdust.comCherylKaufman wrote:Personally I really want to see the original peacock colored statues in ALL of the new colors. I want to see black gold, gold, emerald peacock, rainbow, and ruby warriors, hatchlings, sun dragon, all oriental dragons for that matter, and any other ones we’ve missed etc. It’s seems strange to only do a handful in the new colors since white and emerald and leave all the other sculptures out of the limelight. I want variety!
I think a lot of the choice on what gets produced in what colors is based on sales and what moves the best for Windstone, especially though general retail. Or, it could be totally random! I’m not sure. 😀

My art: featherdust.comSilverArrow wrote:Which sculps and additional colors will be retired this year? The reason I ask is that on Astral Castle it was showing that the Sea Jewel Mermaid was retired, but I hadn’t seen any posts about it. If this is true does it also mean that the Sea Fire Sconce will also retire? Sorry to bug.
According to my papers, neither have been retired, unless they’ve retired them within the past month (which is always possible!). I think Karen could confirm if need be!

I have been here 3 years now, with 1 $1000 raise to show for several VERY good reviews and 1 HR dispute with my ex-manager who by all rights deserved to be fired or sent to sensitivity training. They don’t GIVE regular raises. It’s nice to be employed but that is all it is. No career potential here.
Ugh. I hear that. I worked with one company for 4!! years and only got a $0.50 raise in total ($0.05 at a time!). And I only ever scored 100% in my reviews and worked my bum off. Lousy company. 🙁
