A loving request: If you guys see something wrong that is time-sensitive (such as a spammer, or a vital part of the site going haywire), please email one of us. 🙂 I try to check the forum every day but there are certainly days where I can’t, and I might miss stuff if it’s left to a post or even a PM (I don’t get notifications for those).
Generally the fastest way to reach me is my personal email: nambroth@gmail.com

        Glad it worked out, Courtney!

To all: Part of our buying/selling/trading rules suggest that you never send money for a purchase or trade via “friends and family” as it offers no protection. It’s also against Paypal’s terms to do so if you are paying for any sort of goods, and can result in your Paypal account being frozen or even closed if you are caught. Sellers are responsible for transaction fees.

Sellers: Sending Paypal invoices is easy, and allows you to keep better track of sales, especially at tax time! It also prevents a buyer from sending the wrong amount, or sending it to the wrong address, or sending it as “friends and family” (which can land you in trouble)!

Trust me, I know those fees are no fun, as I do most of my business online, but they are there since it is an otherwise free service between you and a financial institution (which in theory can offer you protection against the bad eggs).

Our “WHINE is served” thread is really… really long! While I hope no one has things to complain about (I wish we all had perfect lives! But how boring…), I know real life is… well, REAL. If you have some whine to serve, please continue over on our new “WHINE is served” thread here:

I’m delighted that the baby sloat says “Skeek!” “Skeek” is a noise my dragon characters make, too.

I think it was a test paint by Windstone painter Brandi, a few years ago. I don’t know any further info… maybe someone else can remember.

I’ve changed the minimum pixel size on any dimension to 350. Any smaller than that and you are entering “too small to see very well” size!

Tip: Items often have a better chance of selling if you take clear, in focus photos that are large enough to see the details/inspect the item 🙂

I can change the minimum image dimension, I wonder if Clay set it to what it is for a reason? Please let me ask him and I’ll see if I can make this easier for you.
Right now Images must be 640 pixels wide at a minimum, and not exceed 1mb in size. I’ll see if there is a reason not to decrease the minimum image size.

… In Houston the economy sucks because we are driven by oil and gas and the oil and gas industry has had MASSIVE lay offs and firings in the last year. My fiance is a welder at an oil company and he has taken a 50% pay cut X_X His company is a big one and they have gotten so strict on the rules, hoping someone will trip, fall, and they will have a legit excuse to fire them. “Oh, you clocked in 1 minute late. That’s a write up.” I’m not even kidding. …

Unfortunately, this is the case in most industry right now, including manufacturing, not just oil. My dad was fired over such a tiny infraction, after 34 years of loyalty. All of the manufacturing shops around here are closing up. My dad was a master machinist. Also, the local tile company (Dal tile– the original factory for dal/american tile) closed after over a hundred years in business. If you have tile in your home older than 2012, there’s a good chance that it came from my little hometown. This is the sad story repeating itself all over the country.

                          Hey Jennifer!
I was going to mention and ask this upcoming spot… I’ve been seeing the previews about it on Animal Planet for the past couple weeks. And I thought that I did see a quick shot of you holding your Duck painting near the end of the TV preview for the movie – it’s different from the online Movie Trailer you linked to…perhaps it was the 2013 one? I’m surprised that you won’t be in it, and a little disappointed in the Producers to tell the truth, that you say you weren’t interviewed, especially since not many women have won.

I was also a really disappointed that I couldn’t get away and see you when you were in Easton, MD last Fall at the Waterfowl Festival… my stars just didn’t line up. My Hubby and I don’t Waterfowl hunt but do Deer hunt, and it was really cool to tell our hunting friends about you and your winning painting last year. Now I’ve got to find a fitting matt and frame for my autographed Duck Stamp. ?

I think you are seeing Rebekah holding her redhead painting, in the TV preview. I was never filmed at all. She is tall and at a glance we look a bit alike! Even though I am not in it (I’m kinda glad…) it’s a really good film and worth the time to watch it.

So sorry our stars didn’t line up to meet in Easton. I might be back, either to show or help out at the show, not this year but in the future!

Heh, so yeah that box is still sitting downstairs somewhere. I think it’s over 8 years old now.

Good grief, man, you’re worse than me.

My perhaps unpopular opinion: I strongly feel that anyone that willingly (as in, the cat didn’t accidentally get out) let’s their cat outdoors to roam loose relinquishes their rights as an owner.
That said, that doesn’t really help you. The cat needs to see a vet, so sadly your options might be to either claim ownership for him, or surrender him. Please make sure that if you surrender him that it is a no-kill shelter, otherwise… 🙁 I’m sorry you are in this situation.

Well done, whomever is doing the new listings and photos!

                                  Pam left???

She did, some time before we migrated the website over. It’s why there was a temporary gap in eBay listings.
