Pink is not really my color for a dragon, looks nice on a curled, not so much on a larger one. With or without the flamingo style.
Ditto, big time on a production run of this color. As blue is my favorite color this would be a great set. Just look at “Rain, PYO” to see how wonderful I think blue is. My wedding ring even has a sapphire in it.
Do this color on that large figure. The one I said should be an empress. Imagine that huge dragon with this beautiful color on it. WOW! does not say enough to how it would look. It would be a great color to launch that piece in.
Very beautiful piece. Dragons and Blue are a wonderful combination. These in a set would be wonderous!
So who did blue ice? It doesn’t look like PS. Looks more like RP to me. Curious minds want to know. Do we have another mystery painter?
Just a bump to see if anyone has any of the list I desire here or in my wishlist thread.
Maybe we can also have contrasting ones here to the difference in dark vs lights of colors or similar variations.
I will be adding the Jade vs Emerald Scratcher as soon as I load it.
One I would like to see is the Peacock, dark vs light. Or at least hear what the difference is?
Also did they make a Old Green Lap or OW. Or a OW in White or CP?September 14, 2011 at 4:44 am in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #856465I have no idea if this has been reported before, it’s very old and may have been done with Windstone/Melody’s permission (although neither are credited), but here goes:
OK, so maybe it’s just be, but I would like to submit this to the court of public opinion:

I don’t know this person, but I’ve watched her on DA for a while, and I’ve noticed a little bit of a…shall we say, trend, with her painting schemes. Down at the bottom of that page, she has hatchling sculpts painted in what looks very similar to Rainbow, Emerald Peacock, Gold, and Silver (the last two of which I know Windstone doesn’t have the market cornered on, but all the same).
What do you guys think? Coinkydink?
The first looks rather close to a rendering of a Male dragon to me. Yes I can see the differences but I am not a lawyer for how how much different one must be. This is of course my opinion.
The second one has a similar name, and some of the colors certainly come close, and the description is another close item, ceramic vs the gypsum, acrylic paint with a gloss finish, multi-colored stones for eye color…Again this is strange in my opinion. I am not an expert though. As I said in my vote on your blog and repeated by Wampus, Empress. If she is as big as an old warrior and is most certainly fem looking why not go with that original intend. This seems to fit the build perfectly.
PMed you on Hatching Emerald Emperor.

PMed you on Peacock Guardian Gargoyle.
I’ve slept thru earthquakes in the past lol.
How do windstones fair in earthquakes? I’m really curious because I’m pretty sure we’ll be moving to California in the relatively near future. I already have to worry about smuggling my ferrets in and finding “ferret friendly” vets/places… I don’t want to have to worry about the windstones as well. Suppose they could forever be in their boxes I guess.
I really really dislike California, but I’d rather suffer in cool weather year round instead of suffer in smoldering heat.If you have collectibles, best to have something at the front of the shelve they sit on to stop them from “walking” off. This is the shaking action rocking them back and forth until they fall off. It was the damage we had on our collection as we did not. This could be a thin board nailed down forming a lip or glass, although something as stiff as glass might break. Think a board is best. Does not have to be thick just so it stops the items from sliding off.
Then all you have to do is hope you do not get hit with an 8.0 or higher that levels your place. Of course if the unit falls over, yeah can nail it to the wall, or the roof falls in nothing you can do. After some point if mother nature wants to level an area she has the power to do so. Quake, hurricane, tornado, flood, fire (by lightening), lightening, lava, etc..are all at her disposal.
Stay safe as you can everyone. Things can be replaced, people can not be.
Someone has been practicing their wirewrap techniques. And it does look nice. Sterling silver, half round and square stock. Gauge is harder to tell on each piece, say 20-22, maybe an 18. Some of the finer stuff looks like it might be as thin as 24.
I wish I did it so well, my stones would look wrapped that way.September 10, 2011 at 7:02 pm in reply to: Another Windstone destroyed due to stupid people shipping… #855805This shows you that even careful wrappers can have broken ones, although if it was wrapped careful there is less complaints, ones not so carefully or put in a brick as someone says, ugg. So sad when any of them get broken, hmm maybe should start a new forum area called infirmary for us to show all the broken ones. Might explain to some visitors here why we are so concerned with how they are wrapped. Does not need to include how it was wrapped just what happens to them during shipping.
