in reply to: Launch of the 2016 Spring PYO swap – Sign-ups closed #943322

Oh goodie ! I’ll send in my info later on tonight since I’m currently at work. I gotta think of what I would want hrrmmmmm…..

    So excited !

in reply to: Anyboby for a spring PYO swap? #943164

Im a little hesitant, with the canadian dollar being so low… but what the hey , its always so much fun receiving a piece from a fellow forum member 🙂 Plus it gives me good reason to paint, I find it hard to make time to paint for myself, but when I have someone to paint for then I make time 🙂

Count me in 🙂 (I just hope Im given enough time to place an order and paint… it does take 2+ weeks for a Windstone order to reach me most times. So I will need to know the time frames etc before I can completely commit. )

The noise I made when I saw this should not come out of an adult human!

Chickadees are my favourite birds 🙂 I love it. Congrats on such a lovely purchase (commission?).

Chickadees are my favorite birds to, with the cute junco a close 2nd. I remember feeding birds as a kid, and getting the chickadees to feed out of my hand. I had a Polaroid camera and even managed to snap a pic of my younger sister with a chickadee in her hand 🙂

I guess you could say this was a commission, as when I asked for a chickadee he didn’t have any made, but said he would make me one if I wanted 😉

Thank you Celestial:) and yes, I have decided to name him DeeDee 😀

Lucky you betrluk1! You sound like you have a nice flock there! I have never owned any birds, but have always wanted either finches or love birds. Parrots are awesome, but yes your right they require a lot of time and commitment. Some I know are so long lived that you have to put them in your will so they can be guaranteed a good home once their owners pass. I don’t think I could handle them personally, as some can get pretty loud and demanding Lol!

Showing off a new piece! I’ve loved this uni ever since I saw him, and thanks to a forum member I now have him!

He’s displayed with his brother. Here are Nightbloom and Vivaldi!

The two of them are similar and yet so different. 😀 I am beyond happy to have them both now!

Oh they look wonderful together, I didn’t realize you had his brother ! This makes me certain that I made the right choice:) It’s wonderful seeing him where he belongs.

Oh wow, that kirin is awesome, I really like that silver look. Great idea:)

in reply to: I like Windstones and …. #940866

Besides my collection of Windstones I also have a small collection of “Best in Show” dogs, which represent each breed realisticly. I only have 8 of these now, but had close to 20 at one point. I went through a period where I lost interest in them and I donated a few to a local fundraiser, and then gave some to friends….all of which I totally regret now 🙁 I wish I had kept them…

I also collect art work from various people. I have a whole collection of small prints of dragons that a local artist did. I have 2 prints by Balaa, and a bunch of posters on my walls, some by Tom Wood.

I also have some prints and a few originals done by a friend, who is also my tattooist, for the most part. (Been awhile since I got any ink) Anyways he is an amazing artist and specializes in portraits and skulls. He also does art work and he has done some amazing realistic pieces in charcoal…. of which I have 6…I think? Lol!

Oh and I have a collection of bobbleheads from Dexter and The Walking Dead shows, plus a few figures from Game of Thrones.

I also have some gargoyles and a large collection of human skulls …. mostly resin, but I do have a real skull from a coyote. And a mummified salamander, and quills from an African porcupine plus other odd things ….Lol! I do like odd things 😉

    A flip of a coin
    Id have to make
    To see which prize
    I would take

    Dragon or Griffin?
    Which shall it be,
    Scales or feathers,
    Either be fine by me!

LOL! Had to give it a go, pretty simplistic but hey, it rhymes:)

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for sharing these amazing and drool-worthy pics. I gazed at all these pics lying in bed with a migraine and they made me feel a tad better, and took my mind off the pain for a bit lol!

My windstone collecting has been on the back burner for awhile now with car payments and such, and these beautiful pics allow me to still enjoy the happiness brought on by Windstones, even without owning them 😉

Congratulations on all this wonderful news you must be on cloud nine:) so happy for you!

in reply to: Coffee, Tea or …? #940023

I was always a coffee drinker, but a few years ago started to really love tea when my bf got me to try it. So now I enjoy both.

I use my keurig at home for my coffee, I like mild types though, nothing too strong. And I don’t use cream, just skim milk and some sweetener. I also like flavored types such as hazelnut etc.

For tea my favorite is orange peko, with skim milk no sugar. Goes best with some sweets though like cookies, chocolate, etc etc. Desert after supper always includes tea

Timmies here (Tim Hortons) is a daily go-to on my lunch break at work for my caffeine fix. They also have awesome cappuccinos, and speciality coffees with whipped cream on top etc. They even make a hot chocolate/coffee mixed drink mmmmm
