Here’s my qi-lin! Reminds me of a glowing sunset, especially with a dusting of blue or purple interference on the chest. I didn’t think I’d like this sculpt so much until I got it in-hand, it keeps giving me sassy cat glares 😀
I’d consider trades, and will be making a classifieds post shortly.
Thank you Melody! There’s so much variety in this batch that I had a hard time picking favorites.

Hello all! This little sweetie has galloped his way to me. Dark gray metallic eyes, which are hard to make out in the photo. I love the fjord horse-style mane! Thank you Melody for another batch of AWD-flavored goodness 😀

Congrats Heather, what an awesome first Windstone! I love this piece too, and if you ever decide to sell or trade it in the future, you’d be welcome to contact me. Thanks and congrats again!

July 20, 2022 at 7:35 pm in reply to: Young Qi-Lin – Grab Bag Edition – Koi 2022 show off thread #1660735My Koi-lin arrived! A lot of lovely shading, and I like the subtle pearly-ness of the orange and yellow parts. But it’s not quite what I was hoping for, so there’s a trade ad up in the classifieds. This one is #63 from the numbered class photo. Thank you Melody for all of these little gems!
And Kujacker, I’m sorry to hear about your stolen piece! I’m always nervous about my deliveries; only the smallest boxes can fit in our communal post office box’s package locker, so the rest get left out on the porch. I hope there’s still a chance the thief has a change of heart…

Paleontology/museum person here! These do look like catalog numbers that would be written on a specimen from a museum, university research collection, etc. Kind of like the Dewey decimal system numbers for library books. The format is a little unusual, but normally the letters that start off the bottom line would be the institution’s acronym. CEU could stand for the College of Eastern Utah, which does have the Prehistoric Museum in Price, Utah.
The cast (it is a cast, I can see air bubbles and can tell by the paint job) does look to be of a “raptor” big toe claw. Nice find! If you’d like more information about it I’d say reach out to the CEU Prehistoric Museum and ask. Or, if you’d like, I can look and see if I can make any contacts there through my work. I don’t know anyone there personally but it’s a small world!

Had to sit out on this batch, but they’re beautiful! I love the ginkgo leaf ones in particular. Congrats to all who get to own these beauties!

July 12, 2021 at 7:59 pm in reply to: GB Standing Hippogriff Discussion and Show Off Thread #1644282Well, just had to work out that I was traveling when the batch was released, missed the email and the chance to purchase one for myself. I gave it a good try in attempting to land one jumping out of a cart, but after two hours I had to give up and get some sleep.
If anyone doesn’t love what they get, please let me know? I’ve got lots to trade or could purchase. I’m particularly interested in the African wild dogs, and the zebra #61. Keeping my fingers crossed!Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!
Loving seeing all of these pictures! I wanted to share mine too; #45 in the numbered set of class photos. Nice combo of both soft and bright colors, and so much detail packed in! Also a few scatterbats too 😀
Thank you Melody!Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!
February 13, 2021 at 7:26 pm in reply to: GB Safari & Giraffe Baby Pegasus Show Off Thread! 2/5/21 #1636629Ooh congrats Natasha, the pair together is lovely! It’s always fun to see how well some of these pieces link across sculpts, without them being exact copies of one another pattern and color-wise.

February 12, 2021 at 7:32 pm in reply to: GB Safari & Giraffe Baby Pegasus Show Off Thread! 2/5/21 #1636532My pegasi are here!
Sweet little creamy giraffe, with metallic straw colored eyes and peacock blue/green gems. This one will be up for trade, I’ll be posting an ad shortly!
I completely missed this one in the class picture. The name “Gray Ghost” came to me first thing! Amazing detail on the stripes, which seem to fade out along the neck and shoulders but grow darker on the face and legs. An ‘antiquing’ wash and faint spattering effect on the wings help the fur and feather texture really stand out. Bright metallic silver eyes, and crystal gems on a silver chain. I could be persuaded to swap for the right piece…Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!
February 10, 2021 at 6:28 pm in reply to: GB Safari & Giraffe Baby Pegasus Show Off Thread! 2/5/21 #1636314A compilation of my favorites! I like the AWDs best in general, but these four stand out in particular. And some other patterns (and giraffes) thrown in for good measure 😀
I’ve got a safari and giraffe that should hopefully arrive on Friday. Fingers crossed!

October 26, 2020 at 6:09 pm in reply to: Pumpkin Spice & Autumn Leaf 10/19/20 Show Off Thread #1630559Well, I had planned on sitting this grab bag out… but you all can see how well that worked! Running behind tonight so bad cell phone pictures are all I have for now.
I’m really happy with her, loving all of the detail in miniature! Lots of craggy hilltops for the kitties to perch on, and a couple of teeny birds in the trees. The insect damage lace spots on the leaf, and the edging details, are beautifully done too. Unfortunately she was packed pretty tight in her box, and has a rub on her left ear. It’s a pinprick, pretty easy repair so no problem. Thank you Melody for having all these spooky little ladies out to us in time for Halloween!
Would consider trading for one of the romping skeleton leafy cats!

Thanks for pointing me to the photos Siberakh1, looks like you’ve got one of the ‘lava’ dragon siblings too 🙂 I think the clone of 165 ended up with more of an obvious blue or green wash on its scales, but I love the blending of colors on yours. Especially the blue-purple parts! Thanks again for sharing photos.
