Well my second choice would be to side with Melody-Scarab!
Windstone Editions Scarab Male Dragon
But…now that I think about it, Scarab sounds like it should be jewl tones of maroon, deep green, navy blue, with lots of gold.
But its still a pretty name! I like spacey names. Nebula, Comet (what about Comet!?) Asteroid, Jupiter….its too bad Uranus has such a bad name, because its such a beatuful planet. Its my favorite one…horrific name aside :p
Oh so a little bird? Is he bright pretty colors?
Well two of my unicorns I got for $14 each, and 2 $50 fledglings throw the average off considerably
I’d try to blame it on drunk driving. Not only does the guy’s insurance go up, but he may be suspended for DWI or have to REALLY pay for it. *offers hugs and cocoa to Ruffian* But at least you and your loved ones weren’t inside the car, right? So that’s something to be glad about! The cars could have SMOOSHED your car in the middle, like squeezing an empty soda can, but the damage was less than that, so there’s something else to be glad for

Ah ha! You’re in TEXAS aren’t youuu?
My grandmother lives in Paris, Tx, near Oklahoma, and once it snowed there enough to scrape up enough snow that my cousins and I could throw a snowball at eachother! hehe
Yes! The Spectrals are special because of their eyes! I wouldn’t re-do them with normal eyes.
They look like the mystics of the group. If all the Windstone dragons lived as part of a large community, of course the Emperors are the leaders, and the Warriors are the wise sage-like grandfathers with awesome stories to tell-then there’s the spectrals, the mystics, the Shaaman, the medicine-dragons, the healers. I can imagine the Riser, rising out of a cloud of fog or smoke towards Heaven. They’d loose those wonderful qualities with normal eyes-in my opinion.
OOO maybe you could sketch out what a baby would look like with the normal eyes? Babies have big eyes! *hopeful* or maybe you could cover up part of the eye with clay/stone so only a baby-sized proportion of the eye is actually visible. I think it would be cute to have him covering one eye with his wing or foot, so you only see one eye looking at you; like the coiled russet dragons. “You woke me up! What do you WANT!?”
That way too, you’d only have to deal with one eye!
Neptune! I love that name ^_^
Who or what is Burd? An Emu I’m guessing?
drag0n-its amazing that some people can STAND to live in such filth like that! BY CHOICE!
Ryliecat-I was going to say too, I love McFarland’s dragons. I’ve got one! But, Christmas is just around the corner
And, I just added it up…I was right, about $3448. Not that bad for 36 pieces
That’s only $95.78 per Windstone 8)

Can somebody please get that Emerald Riser for me? #513113Basalisk-Maybe the seller says he wont accept internationl paypal because it charges him a conversion fee. *shrug* that’s the only thing I can think of. I’ve sent paypal to people in the UK, France, Spain and Canada MULTIPLE times before, its never posed a problem. I’d agree, $240 is waaay too much for the sitting spectral.
I REALLY want the one on ebay now….BUT…if you can afford to outbid me, then all’s fairAww, DM I’m so glad you got to go! Very fitting for one of their longest-time collectors to be at his “Graceland”
and….you mean the HEP dragons are avaliable to order!??!? Did you just see the family or were there laps/scratchers/OW too? wow!
Ski, I’d want your male Kirin for $75
But on topic-Ya if you go to the original link, the auction is gone. I knew of someone once that was selling something, and changed their mind about selling after bids were placed, so he got a friend to bid some insane amount, so he got to keep the item
Maybe that’s what happened??

I think (judging from the higher bids on ebay) others consider MINT to be, with the tag attached, with the original box, and original plastic, never broken, no flea bites.
To ME, mint is-“okay it has some paint rubs or chips or has been broken, but I’ve repaired it and you have to hold it an inch from your nose in the sunlight to see it” and I don’t care much for the tags or boxes(unless the box happens to come with it, I’ll save it)
ryliecat wrote:ive started a cheaper hobby too since we cant swing the hundreds for all the windstones ( hubby says he will catch me up and get me current when we get some money). have you guys seen the todd mcfarlane dragons? they are smaller but o-so-detailed. here click the link and check them out; http://www.spawn.com/toys/series.aspx?series=333
Aww, at least he’s offering to buy you LOTS later
Watch, by that time, there will be something mega cool on ebay from Melody and you’ll have the perfect shot at it
WOW-about the model horses. They’re very beautiful, but I’ll stick to my casual collection of Bryers (I SO want those 05/06 Halloween ones!!)
I’ve started a little inventory book with a photo of the Windstone on one page and other information about it on the facing page, including when I bought it, and how much I paid for it…but its only got 2 or 3 entries in it so far; REALLY not up to date.
I’ve thought about it, but haven’t added it up yet. Although-I have only paid “what they’re worth” on a few pieces…like 3 maybe
otherwise, I just wait till I can get them cheaper later. I’m taking a wild guess and saying less than or equal to $3,000 (30 pieces, some were under $100 each)
