Melody, I squeeeeeeeak for male, mother and grand unicorns painted in “grab bag” fantasy colors! You did a blue appalousa that was amazing!

You’ve had sooo many gorgeous young unicorn and baby unicorns in this grab bag craze, I’d love to see some wild parents for the store or ebay…even if they don’t match, the colors are awesome!

I’m sorry you are having to sell, but I know they will all go to loving homes that will cherish them as you have.

It is pretty cool looking! I’d bet Wampus has some deeper insight to add-I believe she has been breeding little reptile critters lately 🙂

The way I look at it is this: when I see a piece I like, in my head, Ive placed a value on it-how much I’d be willing to spend on it-regardless of if I have that much cash avaliable or not. In the instance of ebay, I might see something I just LOVE LOVE LOVE and think “I WOULD pay $600 for that…” and if I happen to have the $600 or have things I can sell quickly to get it, I’ll bid UP to that amount and just hope that the bidding doesn’t go that high. Sometimes a particular thing goes higher than the value I myself have placed on it. When that happens, and its something I absolutely LOVE, yes, I’m sad, but I feel better 1-knowing Windstone made lots of money (didnt say profit, but money) and 2-well shoot, I wouldn’t pay the ending price, even if I did have that much to spend on it.

SO-the stuff in the store, for me personally, is too high because I’m not in absolute love with anything Ive seen in the store so far-the buckskin orangey mother peg was gorgeous, but even if I was a millionaire, shes not worth $400 TO ME-but she was to someone else and it worked out. 🙂 I view the special store items like ebay pieces that went too far out of my price range-they’re pretty, I’m glad they exist, but I’ll let them go.

I know not everyone thinks like this, but I’m not a millionaire, and honestly, there are some sculpts and colors I don’t like, and some I do that go too high in price-so this way of thinking brings me peace when I can’t get something I want. Either 1-I tried and gave it my best shot but someone wanted it more or 2-only liked it a little, didn’t try for it, and someone else who LOVED it got to own it.

Edit: I hope that makes sense. Ive realized lately I have a hard time communicating what’s in my head lol

                        What I think…

Have the item up for a BIN price in the store. No offers. Then give people the option that if they see an item that has been sitting for a long time and would like to offer, they can just email you? On the off-chance that one of these specials sits in the store for more than a few days, you’d likely only get a couple emails to respond to.

Overall I agree that there’s likely no need for the offers at all.

I think the only thing with that is that it requires more man power and time for one person to read and reply to offers. I too agree that 30 days is too long to wait. I think 7 days is appropriate. Most people get paid every week OR every other week-so that would not only give people time to submit an offer, but give them time for their paycheck to reach them, or for them to sell stuff on ebay/the forum to get money for that thing. (in the event of OMGOMGOMG I gotta have it and I have no money!) The offical Windstone auctions on ebay are 3 days, so I think 7 days is appropriate for the store sales.

Also agreed with Kiya on the ebay fees-this month I owe ebay $75-not near the $1400 that Windstone might owe them, but dang does 10% cut into your profits. PLUS,ebay charges a final value fee on shipping too-so $20 to ship your item UPS, means another $2 you owe to ebay. (not fair, I agree, that’s neither here nor there) So I think its good for Windstone to be able to profit that much more from their special pieces

I would like to see some kind of notification when something is going to be in the special items category-I only saw one peg-the buckskin and didn’t even get to lay eyes on any of the others. I mean-I’m not into the pegs enough to pay those prices, but 1-I’d like to at least see them (photo archiving? or removing the option to buy it but leaving it up on the page?) and 2-there might be something awesome and amazing I’d like to buy and I’d be dissapointed if I didn’t even know it existed until after it sold. I can’t check the store or forum all the time, but I get emails sent to my phone which is always on me, so I rely on those emails to know when stuff is happening, or when I get a PM, store notifications, back in stock notices, ebay out bid notices etc. etc.

Congrats on the Griffin, Wolfen! He s absolutely gorgeous. I was very tempted to bid on him, but he just got way to expensive.

yeah >.< I was kinda kicking myself for bidding that high too but OH man hes so pretty! He looks great next to "Tigris" the flap cat

Drag0n-I think she sold that dragon due in part because I was selling my Flame Crested Forest male dragon (also by Jennifer Miller) and she ended up buying him from me. She mentioned you during the sale, so thats what led me to believe that haha I’m glad you were able to get him 😀 Hes “Tabby male dragon” right? >..< so no photos yet. 🙁

Fruit Cake-the purple on her wings is the color shifting paint! O.O changes from purple to teal and back

phew. I need to stay off ebay, liek, forevah.

I’m more interested in the ETA on any new Orientals… also curious… will there be eventual Lavender Moon dragons to follow?

Same here! I’d love a pair of lavender sun and moon orientals

We should have a “Squeak at PS” thread…my favorite colors lately are hers-Blue Ice and (dont hate me!) Barn Swallow. The blueberry ice color is nice too but I imagine it wouldn’t look good on just everything.
I’d ESPECIALLY love a Blue Ice Sun and/or moon dragon-and another Barn Swallow Sun dragon for ebay (lost the first one 🙁 would love a shot at another one-with more vivid colors. The colors on the first one were more pale than the colors on the lap and rising spectral)

So…violet flame lap and old warrior dragons? 😀

Or a lemon-lime, green/yellow color like “Spring Green Gold” that Olympia had or “Kiwi” that PS has. Come to think of it, more Kiwi dragons would be phenominal too!

also, I think there have already been rainbow curlies-and they are now retired.
