The ivory is lovely too. But….does anyone remember…Melody painted the first “Ivory” sun dragon years ago that looks pretty identical to this one.
WOOOWWW! She’s very beautiful! I love astronomy too. Her wings look like a firey sunrise. You did a great job on her!
Happy belated birthday lady! Hope you had a great one
Thank you everyone! <3 I'm a little late getting to reply. I had a pretty good birthday. I had two mini parties and only 2 people showed up to one and one person to the other…but it was still fun. Day one I got to spend time with my boyfriend and two best friends on the beach and got to ride horses on the beach. 🙂 RiversGrace lives in Texas now so she got to come out and ride horses with me 🙂
the boyfriend took me to build a bear where I got to 'build' a plush MLP Rainbow Dash, and Mom got me a lovely Dove necklace I've had my eye on the last year from James Avery (plus made my favorite noodle soup and chocolate cake) and I got a whole Friday off from my job-which has become super mega stressful. I'm 28 now. Oh boy!
Yes! Dragons similar to Brandi’s “Winter” color scheme would be amazing! A black ice would be lovely too with the silver horns
Melody, any thoughts about adding more blue to the chick’s heads so they will match the adults a little better?
I love this new colour! The male is my favourite! I am wondering though if there might be a possibility of painting the chicks to have more blue on their head and chest like the adults? I love the adults but don’t have the money or space for them so am thinking of getting the little ones. I just wish the chicks had as much blue as the adults!
Hmm, yeah, they do look like they need blue on their heads.
Agreed! I missed the male by the time I saw them but….I was very naughty and ordered the mother. Susie told me there will be more males eventually! 😀
The chicks would look best with blue on their headsYes, the unicorn with blackberries was done in color as well. I have a catalog of the prints that the wonderful Melody sent me years ago. If I can find a moment to scan it, I shall 🙂 There are some adorable pictures of mice that I have never seen for sale. I adore Melody’s art…2D as well as 3D and have 15 or 16. They are pretty much the only artwork I have on the walls lol
I’ve been away for a while….there are horns now!?!? How exciting!!
The horn can be glued in no problem. He’s too pretty to suffer at the hands of the post office. I’ll buy him from you if you don’t want him. I’ve had no luck on postal claims. if it broke they say it wasn’t packed properly and it will take you 6+ months to get an answer. Government agency of course. Any claim over $50 goes to some headquarters office out of state. the damage doesn’t look bad. I’ve had youngs lose horns and glued them with white elmers glue no problem
I’d defiantly be glad to help identify as well and give my opinions on prices. Agreed on the fact that most people don’t know what she had. I don’t remember any posts she’d ever make showing off what she just bought. If she has any oriental dragons or old warriors, I’m interested 😉
violetwerewolf(at)gmail(dot)com if you want some help identifying. You could send a picture with multiple pieces and I could type onto the picture what they are if that helps. I’ve been around since the beginning and remember most of the old pieces. The smaller pieces I don’t collect as much so I dodn’t pay them as much attention but the bigger pieces I remember well.
WOW! I love your Monol Griffin and your Nemmy Foo Mom.
I’m always amazed at your color schemes. They are like something out of a dream. I love how the colors are a little random-like looking at a multi faceted crystal that the sun is hitting…there are all the colors and you see a different one every time you look again or give the crystal a turn. Beautiful.
Does anyone know if the Ravnheart database is still updated? I tried to look up a couple of Lap Dragons, and noticed that all the data was from 2008-2009; surely Laps haven’t been out of production for that long?
I’m fairly certain it is NOT still updated. Is it possible for anyone to take over this job?
Ha! I actually did pretty good. I stayed organized and continued to organize, I de-cluttered a lot and I got rid of stuff I wasn’t in love with. I still have stuff I don’t love but a lot of it is on ebay or has gone to GoodWill.
For 2014, I want to
1. Reduce my debt
2. Improve my credit score
3. Stay focused on school
5. STRESS LESS!!!Hahaha-etruscan! When I get my own house, I plan on putting a small shed out in the backyard to stack the boxes in. It will keep them out of the path of roaches and rats and keep them clean and dry hahah Right now they are everywhere for me!
Very well said, Drag0n! You forgot the Black Gold Old warriors too and the Violet Flame (although ebay vs. production is quite different) and Copper Patina. The BG Old Warriors went for $1,000 and more. Now you can get one anyywhere for $260. I traded a rare piece for my Copper Patina old warrior that is signed and numbered and later they became limited production. Was I bothered? A little. Would I let my big guy go? Heck no! He was painted special, and signed and that makes him special to me. (Plus the placing and amount of patina on him looks way better than the LP ones)
So if you buy what you love, you’ll always love it.
Also, I like the Hawaii hoofers! I love the teal eyes. I just wish the Grand Unicorn had the rainbow scheme in his tail too. I like the pegs because the amount of surface area covered by a rainbow is larger 🙂 But I have similar tastes in Windstones as Drag0n-colorful, loud, bright.
Lastly…..Hawaii hooker?
