I’m so sorry – I really confused the issues! I wasn’t supposed to email EVERYONE on the waitlist last night, only the first 64 people on it so that they could purchase the first 64 of the Grab Bag Wolves. I accidentally emailed everyone. Those who have tried to order and found it “out of stock” – you will get another password email when we have additional wolves ready to ship.
Mary: Yes, the Emailed Announcements are supposed to be used to advise people that an item is on our Home Page where you can sign up for the Waitlist – but with the Wolves, we forgot to get the announcement out before the waitlist filled up and we had to close it. So proper form for us is to: Post Waitlist on our Home Page, Email Announcement that it is there and you can sign up, (Although I’m thinking – THIS could crash the site?! couldn’t it?), Then we close the waitlist when its full (we cannot make an infinite amount of things, especially grab bags), and when The Item is ready to ship we email a password to those on the waitlist so that they may place their order.
It is always a good idea to check the Home Page and the Community Forum on our website for announcements in case no email announcement has been sent. We did not do an email announcement of Paint Your Own Snerl ahead of adding him to the store. This could happen again.
We have emailed everyone on the waitlist for the Pumpkin Spice Pebble Wolves now. If you think you should be on the list and didn’t get an email, please contact me! susie@windstoneeditions.com
We are very sorry we messed up and didn’t get an announcement out in time for people to see that this was on our site Home Page. Then the wait list filled very quickly. This is a small batch due to the limit of how much of that red/blue color shift paint that is the background on all of them (someone asked about that – yes, they all have the same “sky” color). We had plans for an announcement! But they went awry.
I’d like to add here that there will be times that we do not announce something before putting it into our store in an effort to reduce the possibility of our store crashing. Keep an eye on our Home Page and our Forum for announcements!
Ann Marie: I have passed your request along to Clay, our webmaster. I am not sure its possible to do as you request – meantime – everybody scroll down!
October 20, 2022 at 4:25 pm in reply to: Brown Secret Keepers Password Protected Restock – sold out Oct 20, 2022! #1663855The Brown Secret Keeper is now sold out and once again visible in our store.
Just to add to the information: When a piece is “signed and numbered” this is done on the felt pad on the bottom of it.
October 12, 2022 at 7:59 am in reply to: Mother Hippogriff in Grab Bag “Wild Dog” has begun to ship #1663505More info: The emails going out to inform people that they can purchase the Grab Bag Mother Hippogriff are unrelated to the emails that we send out to announce things like the raffles. If you are not getting raffle announcements (there is one once a month toward the end of the month) check your junk mail filter as those might be going in there.
The emails about the Mother Hippogriffs are only being sent to those who joined the waitlist for them and only the first half of the list has been notified. If I don’t hear back from you at all after I’ve sent you an email, I will double check to see if you got your email before I assume that you are not interested.
We still need to Cast a lot more Mother Hippogriffs for Melody to paint in order to supply all of the people on the waitlist for these! This means that we expect to be filling orders for these Grab Bag pieces for maybe a month? Its hard to tell how long it will take. If you are at the end of the waitlist, your Hippogriff hasn’t been born yet. Please be patient, this is going to take some time!
If I’ve sent you an email and you are not interested any more or would like more time, please reply to that email and let me know! Thank you! -Susie Hartney, Windstone Customer Service
September 21, 2022 at 2:47 pm in reply to: Lap Dragon in Rainbow is NO LONGER hidden from view #1662819This restock is now sold out and the Lap Dragon has been returned to view in our Webstore. If you had been on the waitlist and did not want to purchase from this batch, your name is still on the waitlist. You can manage your waitlisted items from your account.
Melody’s still painting them. I’m not sure how long until we will be close to having them ready to ship.
Please note: My waitlist does not show names or addresses, only emails, so if your email has changed or your spouse is buying it and you are not – PLEASE provide that original email that was on the waitlist to me so that I can match the order to the list! You can put it in the notes, email it to service@windstoneeditions.com or even phone us up! But I MUST have it – I will not fill a password protected order until I can match it to an email on my waitlist. Thank you!
I’ll make sure Clay knows! I don’t think it looked that way when I looked at mine last week.
Today our Postman told us that yesterday there was a bad accident involving a mail carrier (not ours) – hence the lack of pick up. He said that its likely today’s outgoing packages may not leave Corvallis until tomorrow. Again, apologies for the delays!
I think this is outdated information (its from 2017) and if I’m not mistaken we have updated our Paint Your Own product pages since then so that the wait list works the same way as it does for everything else.
The PYO Dragon is coming up quick – if nothing goes wrong we should be stocking them by the end of this week (Susie’s observance as of 8/29/2022). There will be some other PYO’s restocked as well.
I’m sorry I didn’t see this question until now, however I do have an answer to the original question about how long it might be until we restock the Small Winged Spirit Wolf – We don’t know! For the past couple of years we have put all of the stone colored items (gargoyles and candlelamps) on the back burner due to the fact that we have a very small crew and simply cannot make everything all at once. The stone color on these pieces is achieved in a different way from our other more colorful pieces (and different from the “Stone” colored dragon too) and it has been more efficient for us not to make them while we are short handed. It may be hard to believe, but that stone color is hard to paint! We have not retired them, however we don’t have a time frame for when we might make them again. I do not think it will be this year (2022). I extend our apologies to those who are waiting for them.
August 15, 2022 at 5:51 pm in reply to: Reports of Fake & Knock-off Windstones and general infringements #1661646The bottom of a questionable piece tells a lot about it and the Weight of the item can tell you a lot – Windstone is heavy – fakes are often much lighter.
