Haha I sent them 1st class international to canada. Not sure when they’ll get here but sure not next week!
But seeing everyone’s pictures in the mean time will just make me more excited. Plus I like having something to look forward to 😛

Really? Huh… I probably should have just sent priority but it’s like $35 and first class is only $10… haha
From the photos on the trade thread he looks chestnut to me, a reddish chestnut. There’s quite a few people who like the more solid colours, I’m kind of meh about chestnuts in general but I’m sure someone will take him.
I think Frodo is bay not chestnut but I don’t remember xD
I missed it but I really enjoyed seeing the recording!!
Also for the record – Bone Saw was I THINK originally Scenceable’s idea! A Bone Saw is a real thing – literally a saw that you can cut though bone with. I had no idea it was a spider man name, and I never think of Spider Man when I mention Bone Saw – I just think its an awesome name!!!
LOL yeah I posted a big list of random morbid macabre names, Bone saw was on there. I know Bone Saw is a real thing but it has definitely stuck in my mind because of the spiderman movie. BONE SAW IS READY HURR I don’t even like comics but that movie was pretty awesome.

Someone asked about this, I don’t remember, it was brought up somehow, and I remember melody saying that dragons are a lot harder to paint than unicorns.
BUT I think she did say she had the makings of baby poad grab bags in the works but I don’t know what happened with that.
I don’t even remember where you guys live, LOL. Dunno how long it would take to drive out or fly out or whatever. My US geography is really bad.
Has there ever been a windstone meet? Where a bunch of collectors get together? Not sure if there’s enough of us on here but it’s cool to think about.
I just got one… took a lot of self-control not to get two, but money is tight enough haha. And I really don’t need two.
From the livestream it seems there were a whole bunch of blue and orange pintos and blue and orange appaloosa ish ones, so that one in the store picture is not the only one that looks like that. I think they tried to make a couple of each type this time around 🙂
And I haven’t seen a class photo but I know a lot of them were done or hadn’t been started when the livestreams were on, so there are likely a whole bunch we have never seen.
I’m actually really excited to see the names on these, and if any of the crazy livestream suggestions made it!
I’m not really hoping for anything specific. Mine probably won’t arrive for eight thousand years because of customs anyway, haha, so I’m not as anxious yet.
Can’t wait for pictures!
Edit: Oh oh! I just read on deviantart that the green and orange unicorn in the store picture is Autumn Leaf! Awesome.
Haha it took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to add you back. It’s been a while since I did much aside from posting on LJ.

Bullsquid- I understand what you mean, it’s how I felt when I missed the babies a few weeks ago. My advice is to pm someone on the forum who either already got unicorns today or only wants one, and will be around on monday to buy one for you. (or put a post out requesting it) They can send it to you unopened so it will be a surprise. I know some people did this last time. I would offer but I’m going to be out on monday so am not reliable, and I live in canada so shipping and customs would add too much cost. But people on the forum have done this type of thing and I think there’s some people who would. It’s really the only advice I can offer, I know it’s really difficult to buy one second hand since everyone just wants to trade. I wish I could help! Hopefully someone else can though <3
Megan- me, you and Hannah should all meet up somewhere! Road trip. Have you ever been to Niagara Falls? Maybe it's time you go. Or montreal? Toronto? Cmon, you know you want to! (Then again I'd rather come to your place, you have a horse. Hahah)

Aww Megan, that sucks. It’s one thing to miss them while at work or something but you were camped here all day too!
I would offer to try and grab one for you on monday if you happen to be away but I’m busy all day so there isn’t much point. If I do happen to be online when they go live I can message you 🙂
As for refreshing the store, I refreshed the young page every few minutes for at least a few hours today, and intermittently after that, so I wouldn’t worry.

Personally, if I have one I want to trade, I’m going to trade it to whoever has the unicorn I want most. I don’t care who it is. I think most people are like this too, we’ll help each other out sure but in the end we want the “best” one ourselves.
I didn’t like the orange and blue ones, or the green and orange one, or the black and silver ones, and especially not the tabby pinto one. LOL so if I get any of those they’ll be on their way somewhere else shortly after xD
And keep in mind, even if you watched all 3 livestreams you didn’t see even half of the unicorns that are out there. You could get a totally random new one that you love! Optimism! Yay <3

Breyer not only encourages repaints, but sawing, repositioning, glueing hair, all sorts of things!
What about artist’s resins? (model horses) They’re sold blank to paint I guess but people still customize them right? Like cut off their manes and tails and replace them with mohair, that type of thing.
Reading Jennifer’s post actually makes me think more about the vintage my little pony. A lot of people recently have got into restoring them, and that includes rehairing, retouching eyes and symbols, and the like. But personally I don’t think a mint pony includes one that has been retouched or rehaired, but in many cases it’s nearly impossible to tell the difference. I’ve certainly heard of people buying a rare pony in “mint” condition only to find it’s been rehaired or something. A lot of people write “RH” on the pony’s foot but most don’t. So, from the perspective of someone buying windstones later, I can see how there might be confusion between repaints and ebay pieces or whatever. But I guess the same confusion exists from well repaired windstones.
I don’t paint windstones so it doesn’t bother me either way. Maybe a dedicated thread with a warning or disclaimer at the beginning would help. That way they would all be in one place, since they’re not allowed in the PYO section.
The 66 thing is mentioned in the comments on the store page. So when you go to the page to buy one, at the bottom there’s comments, susie mentions it there.
Then the 130+ in total, it was on one of the livestreams, Melody said in the background “what’s 36×3 plus 25?” “Oh that’s how many unicorns there are.”
I got an email notification too, but I never rely on them because I know they come out a few minutes at least after the item is restocked. I have the young unicorn store page bookmarked and was just checking that every now and then.
