Not here in Georgia either, also too far. But I can say that we have had an earthquake in our area a year or so ago. About 3-4 on the scale. So I can say, yeah it is a SURREAL experience to have your whole house shake. At first we thought it was a jet flying way, way, way too low. Then thought maybe it was some sort of crash. Right until we went outside and found everyone else in our neighborhood had poured outside too!
So you definitely have sympathies. It is a nerve inducing experience! Especially when the event is extremely rare in your area!

Most of it was done this past weekend. I hope my swapee likes it, because I kinda want to keep it! 🙂 I’ll have to make a PYO for myself with these Pearl-Ex pigments!
-laughs- Oh my gosh, I know what you mean! Some of these swaps I’ve just wanted to keep the piece I painted for myself! It’s hard to let go sometimes.

And, of course, watching carts sometimes works. Mine popped out of its cart at around 8:00 last night – I got home at 6:30.
-laughs- Alas, I only saw the e-mail this morning (I don’t have a smart phone to let me know I have new e-mails)! Far too late to hope for cart poppers. I guess I just expected a Friday or next week release date because so many seem to get released on Friday and the info that some were still getting painted.
And I wouldn’t buy from anyone second-hand because I LOVE the surprise the GB gives you. eBay and second hand just aren’t the same.
Yeah, I missed out too. They were all in carts when I saw the email, and then I needed to get to bed. Getting up every morning at 4:10am (Eastern) can be a bummer sometimes, especially since we’re 3 hours behind the West Coast.
Oh, well…I can still look at the lovely photos and get inspired for some upcoming PYOs! 🙂
Oh you better believe I saved the photos Ela! Great color inspirations! And I feel your pain on the East Coast time issues.

Of course, I left work at 5pm EST yesterday and they pop into the store like…what, 11 minutes later? T_T I even checked the website before I left…. That’s it, I give up! It’s not worth getting upset over missing these GBs every single time.

I am not as much into anything natural, dark or orange/red coloured. I am glad others like the natural ones so there are more bright ones for Drag0nfeathers, Dracco and I. Here are the ones I like:

Though on another note, if I do manage to get one and it’s brown I might be willing to trade with someone else who wanted brown but got a more fantasy colored one. They’re all beautiful, so if no one wanted to trade I’d probably still be quite happy.

These little guys are very pretty. I’m not normally one for the more “natural” colors but the tans/browns/blacks in this batch are so gorgeous.
-laughs- I’m normally for fantasy, but these little guys with their natural colors but fantasy style markings are very cool too. If this picture is a representation of the whole batch, I don’t think there’s one I don’t like. I’d be happy to get any of them. Natural color w/fantasy markings or fantasy w/fantasy markings. They’re all gorgeous!

I spent most of it relaxing by painting for the swap. But I went out with some friends for a combined birthday dinner on Sunday (it was one of their birthdays recently too).

My favorites at a glance are any of the guys with that lovely swirly saddle, but the “natural” colored ones really get me the most! The guy with the red exclamation point is my favorite so far 🙂
I love the guy in the absolute top left. I really want to make sure I don’t miss this grab bag. Here’s to crossing my fingers considering I’ve missed ALL the grab bags except the fat cats. I’m guessing that I’m going to have to stay late at work if I don’t want to miss another one.

Ah, the jello sensation. I am quite familiar with it myself! Congrats on getting so much done though!
