Just remember Windstones are addictive
Gods do I know that, lol. I got my first windstone late 80’s early 90’s as a christmas present, I have been collecting ever since  If I had the money every flat surface in the house would probably have a windstone sculpture on it!
Got mine today! I love her!

Another neat tree is the boabab (sp?) tree that grows in africa. I saw one with a house in it on TV.
Very cool Hannah!
LOLOLOLOL! I Love it! I guess the dust bunny with eyes thing was a good idea, so cute and furry, they make me want to pet something >.< I love the bat, he is way cute! WTG Sasha!
I like purplecat's and adaneth's stuff too , so many creative people seem to enjoy windstones!
As far as creative things I like to do. I like to draw, paint windstones and christmas ornaments, plant flowers and do some occasional sewing. I especially like to draw and paint wildlife and fantasy pieces. I used to write stories as well, but I have not done that in years. I do some sculpture and wood carving if time (and money) allows. Hmmmm, I think that's it
I hope he gets better :(( I love ferrets. Good luck with your sales.
Did you paint glass eyes for him? I have some clear glass eyes that I’ve wanted to experiment with but I’ve always been afraid of painting the backs of them for fear that it will look funny XD This looks awesome though! Did you just use regular acrylics?
Yup, I painted just plain glass eyes for him, I used acrylics but put lots of clearcoat across the back. You have to be kinda careful the acrylic scratches or peels off the glass very easily. I also sometimes use something called “glossies” from liquitex, these are made for glass painting, in this case I wanted the color to match the hand mixed green I used on the dragon so used regular acrylics. But a little extra care was worth it I think, the dark green eyes I got with this one just didn’t look quite right.
I am glad you guys like my critters 🙂 It is a lot of fun painting them!
I just loooove the wings on that last dragon!
And the phoenix… congrats on using the typical phoenix colours in a new way. I just love it!
My first phoenix I had to go with the traditional color scheme 🙂 When I first saw a PYO phoenix I thought of the red golden pheasant, their color patterns and combinations look as close as I have ever seen to how I always imagined a real phoenix would look. I promise next time I do a phoenix I will break out of the box a bit! Glad you guys seem to like the ones I have done so far 8)
Thanks for the advice gang, I will try out some of these tips and see if I can’t get a few better pics out of it! It is much appreciated
I really liked that sugar plum oriental that went on ebay awhile back. If I had the money for ebay pieces he would has been sooooo mine!
I wanted to do something colorful *cough* I think I got it  He has a lot of interference on his face and tummy, it doesn’t show up very well on camera, but I got a little of it in the photos. I hand painted the eyes to go with his colors. Hope you enjoy!
Congrats!
A couple of new ones 🙂 The dragon I call silver shawdows and the phoenix is based on a real bird called the red golden pheasant, so he is a red golden phoenix! Enjoy.
Here ya go, there is another view of him in my PYO thread  I am finishing up another and will post pics soon. Glad you like him.
