I couldn’t find all of mine, but here’s most of the flock:
From most finished to least:
Gold Koi Dragon — all this guy really needs is sealer and felt! Unless I decide to add some antiquing or extra interference… I’m undecided, which is why I haven’t sealed him yet.Colorful Griffin — I need to get the blending on his hindquarters to, uh, blend. And finish up all his feather details, and then antique/highlight/whatever I end up deciding to do with his white areas!
Sirius Winged Wolf — finally I’m satisfied with his constellation! Now to figure out what to do with his wings (they have some interference patterns, but not much right now) and then do something about how blah his all-black fur is.
Gold Koi Keeper — arrgh, this creature is frustrating me! I don’t like how I’ve got his patches placed, but whiting them out would be impossibly difficult, and as with his smaller partner I’m still undecided about how to finish off the white areas too!
Undecided Dragon — I started this dragon with a plan (his sides are painted, though I’ve angled him to hide this) and now I don’t like the plan, so I’m going to have to brainstorm up a new idea for him.
Kitsune — not started yet! Patiently waiting its turn while all the half-dressed critters get finished. 🙂
NOT PICTURED — two griffins (both visible in my Gallery where I posted progress shots), the “Golden-naped Griffin” and the “Swallow-tailed Kite Griffin.” I’m not sure where they are! Could’ve sworn I took them out of storage, but they’re not anywhere that I could find (including the attic!) so I hope they turn up at some point…

**New** “SEAL POINT KITTY GRIFFIN”
A fun piece! I love the size of this little griff, which means I pretty much completed him all in one day! (Sealed, eye’d, crystal’d, felted, and signed today; the rest of the work was done yesterday!) This was a ‘salvage piece,’ in a way: I bought it originally intending to do a seal or blue point pattern on it, and then had a sudden inspiration and tried to paint him in a completely different (and far more complicated) way only to discover that I am not, unfortunately, skilled enough to pull it off. After months of my failure sitting there staring at me, I went back to the original plan and managed a pretty good job of covering up my hideous botched efforts of before. Now I really want to do a blue point version to go with the seal!I forgot to take progress shots, since I painted him almost all in one go (with pauses for drying, which I filled with chores), but here’s a couple near the end of the process:
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand finished! Fun fact: the wings are (loosely) based on a Sharp-shinned Hawk, and they weren’t part of the original seal point plan; I came up with them after finishing the body! I think they really go well with his other markings; I’m including a WIP shot that better shows the metallic effect on them.
Photos of him will go up in my Gallery as soon as I manage to figure out how to reorganize it.

“GOLD KOI DRAGON”
This guy is about 90% complete, but since I’ve been waffling about that 10% for over a year (maybe two) now I might as well post him as-is. It’s hard to tell in the photos, but his body color is pearl white with accents and shading of pale gold; he features brighter gold notes highlights in key spots. Note to self: get some better photos!

Wow, congrats! I’m still dreaming of the day when a Secret Keeper can begin the journey to my place! (White for me, of course, to match my bunch.) You should definitely post pictures when she’s enthroned in her new surroundings!

A slight update: Ordered the Apoxie on the 8th, so it should be here soon! (I’m a little surprised it’s not here yet, honestly, considering what they charge for shipping.)
I’ve gotten the big pieces glued into place with Superglue, and the only places Apoxie will be needed is on the chip on the arch of her left wing, and a small spot on her face (I DROPPED the chip that went there, argh! And I couldn’t find it ANYWHERE despite looking on my hands and knees and running my hands all over the carpet and brushing down my clothes and everything! So frustrating.)

Also squeaking for more mice! I love my Emerald Mouse Wizard, but I would be so happy if he had a Mouse Gargoyle or Mouse Witch or Mouse ???? as a companion! Or even another Emerald with a different fur pattern… solid black, or black-and-tan, or brindle, maybe??

Wow, hmcarr! That’s a lovely Peacock Warrior! I really like the Peacocks that are more in the ‘old style’, with a well-distributed range of many colors! Some of them are TOO champagne/dusty-purple, and the newer Peacocks are less colorful overall (only blue/green/bright purple, like a minimalist Rainbow) but yours I think has just the perfect blend with a little of everything!
If I could find a Lap Dragon like that I’d snatch it up in an instant.
As we are all well aware, buying Windstones on eBay can be frustrating and often result in disappointment but I took a chance on another piece and got lucky this time – this Peacock Old Warrior is probably not anything that rare but he is in perfect condition and I think he is fantastic 🙂

Actually there is a much much smaller pack you can get, let me see if i can find a link cuz i have some in the tiny size.
EDIT, and the 1/10 a pound is actually the one you want, its about 1.5 oz total and beeing two part it is split in two, each tub is about a little bigger than a quater and maybe 1/2 inch tall, so it the pefect small amount and if you store it in the freezer it pretty much lasts forever. I myself end up buying the four lb tubs but thays cuz i do regular repairs and lots of sculpting with it.

This is pretty much how I feel, too. A white critter with blue eyes isn’t “albino” to me, so it just seems like a mislabeled white animal instead of an animal with albinism.
Come to think of it, though, what I haven’t seen and think would be neat would be a white griffin family with dark brown eyes – because I love peacocks, and people often incorrectly call white peacocks “albino” despite their having lovely dark eyes! Maybe the griffins could have subtle white-on-white patterns the way a white peacock’s tailfeathers still have eyes? (Not that I want the griffins to have peacock-tail patterns! Just the idea of very subtle markings, akin to how white peacock feathers show their markings. For griffins, maybe spots/dapples, or faint tiger stripes and wing-bars?)
I have always vastly preferred the albino pink/red eyes. I think the blue eyes were a later addition because some people were ‘freaked out’ by albino eyes?

Oooooh, I like the idea of a fantasy-colors mushroom ring! Not as a grab bag, just as a regular or LP thing – I was really excited by the color version of the dragon trio, when it came out, and envisioned something similar for the mushrooms when I read your post. (I think Melody has the right idea about grab bags – something relatively light to ship is best.)

I think any of the candle lamps test paint to make them unique are cool and would like to see more fantasy painting on some stuff that tends to go natural or has it’s own traditional paint scheme.
I wish the ring of mushrooms tea light was available to purchase and not retired – I imagine that piece with fantasy paint would be just perfect! :p

I’m a huge fan of the Whites and I have a lot of them, purchased from a variety of sources over a pretty broad span of time. None of them have visibly changed color on me! (Some are now in storage, alas, so I haven’t seen them in a couple of years. But they were unchanged when they went into storage.) I have one male, purchased on Ebay, who I suspect is an intermediate form of the “heavy gold White” (a variant color scheme, much like the “dark Peacock” or “Jade” form of Emerald); his color is notably different from my other Whites, much like your less-bright Lap.
Sometimes I think about trading/selling in order to get a Male who matches the rest of them better… but at the same time I kind of like the natural variation/piece of Windstone history represented. I really don’t care for some of the *ULTRA*white Whites I’ve seen on Ebay, either! They’re whiter than most of my bunch, and it makes them look incomplete – their details are lost, and they don’t feel like a real animal. So it seems to me that there’s a whole spectrum of paint colors out there sharing the “White” label, from the heavily-gold-interference’d to the blinding-white. I’ve never seen one change from one to the other, but that’s very interesting! Maybe I should experiment and see if I can’t convince a couple of mine to become more similar to my Male?
(Does anyone have any good pictures of the “heavy gold” White color, by the way? I thought I did, but when I went to check my files all I could find was one who was maybe intermediate between heavy and normal.)
