I generally have an idea of what I want my next production/store piece to be. Right now I’m eagerly hoping for restocking of Blue Morpho griffins and PYOs, and the release of Peacock Sitting Orientals. Beyond that, I’m on waitlists for other things I’d like, but which don’t seem as likely to happen soon.
My next specialty/rare piece is of necessity a little more loosely planned, because it depends on what pops up on the secondary market or what Gina decides to paint for Ebay. If there’s a current test color scheme I like (as when the ‘Overcast’ pieces were slowly appearing) then I usually have a good idea of my priority. If not, then it becomes really random: there’s dozens of rare pieces I’d like to own, and I can’t know when one will pop up on Ebay or the Classifieds until it does! Then there’s that awful moment of “oh, but can I afford it?” and “Oh, but what if another grail pops up in a few days?” where I have to decide just how much planning I should put into this. 🙂

I really wish test paints from eBay could be signed up for copies, like the Kickstarter bantams. Just don’t sign them and send CoAs so eBay winners can still feel exclusive.
That would be nice. I definitely miss the days when there were multiple test paint pieces. I have the 13th BVP Old Warrior (back when that was a test color and not a Production color! They made 15 BVPs and I think 25 BEPs) and the 4th Sunrise Lap (there were about 17 of them made).

Restocking would be really really nice, as well as catching up the sitting oris to at least match the colors the other oris that were made before so people could complete the families. Ruby might be impossible, but maybe use a different red like on the bantams, and call it “garnet?”
If they’ve resolved the seam issues with the Moon Oriental, this would be great! I’m still patiently waiting for one in Peacock to round out my family, along with a Sitting Oriental in Peacock. If the seams are still causing problems, though, it’ll probably be a while.

I think Melody is still going to be painting Bantams for a while. It would be really nice to see new production colors on the griffins and hoofers though. They haven’t had any new colors in a while.
Haha, I feel like “Melody gets to take a long nap” is probably next on her schedule after all those Bantams! But I would definitely like to see a new Griffin color or two (Mystic Jade, Mystic Jade!! Black Rainbow!! or something blue, like a Stellar Jay or Indigo Bunting?) or even just some Griffin restocking; I’m on the list to be notified when Blue Morpho females and babies come back, and I don’t think I’m the only one. 🙂

Who’s the second OW in the lineup? He doesn’t look quite like Pastel Rainbow, but at first glance that was what I thought he was. His coloring is very unique!

I don’t know, but if there is such a person I hope they post some photos in the Show Your Collection thread eventually! Copper Patina has so many lovely variations; it would be awesome to see a bunch of them all together.

4. Old Warrior Dragon in Rainbow (preferably the version with a blue/green/yellow nose)

Wow! They look great. I had to do a double take at the green cougar on the left. It almost looks like it was painted in “old” Green. Its a color shift?
And I love the facial markings on the GB on the left! Congrats on your cougar conga!!

All of the color shift paints I’ve seen in person are pretty, but I think the Green/Silver might be my absolute favorite.

I like this idea a lot! I’m always thinking of things I can’t remember if I’m on the list for, and sometimes I stumble over something and realize that I bought one elsewhere and don’t need to be on that list anymore. Being able to see all my waitlist selections would help me keep it more accurate, which might be helpful to Windstone, too.
