Amazon takes a big cut IIRC but you’ll have to double-check that.
Mercari seems to be a barebones BIN version of ebay, though they also use their own payment system and require the buyer to rate you in order to get your money. Also I have no idea what their commission fee is.
There just isn’t a full ebay substitute out there.
Edit: it’s literally the same for Mercari as ebay and maybe a bit worse because they have other fees depending on how you withdraw your money.

How long did the mommagriff’s feathers take you? They look so fluffy.
Interesting making a boar family that’s one whole piece (at least that’s how it looks to me).
As a seller that’s still one too many companies with their hands on my money (and bank account info) before it ends up in my account.
I’m still on the Paypal system so I guess I’ll ride it out until they try to force me to change.
If that is the case that Paypal will be phased out and everyone will be forced to go through ebay’s payment system, I’m going to stop using the site for anything. I’m not giving ebay my bank or credit card information. The one thing I like about Paypal is it doesn’t show that info to the site I’m buying stuff from, so if I can’t go through Paypal that’s it for me!
Looks like they might be withholding funds until the system confirms that the item is shipped out. I remember when they pulled a similar stunt years ago but it was more on Paypal’s side… withhold funds for 2-3 weeks unless you print out a shipping label using their system (in which case the hold is a few days), and only give you your money when the item gets delivered.
(this was like 8 years ago so some details might be mixed up, but that is the jist of it)
It’s strange that they don’t allow for Paypal payment as I can still pay through that method, and only had one or two issues where I couldn’t pay with it.
If it is a bank transfer it very well may take a number of days to process. Still a very bad situation and I don’t blame you for quitting them. I’d leave ebay too if they made their payment method the only option.
Was it sent by e-check through Paypal or whatever their system is? That can take up to a week to show up through Paypal. Not sure about their new system as I have never used it but maybe that’s the case.
I’ll be honest ebay is not a good site if you’re looking to sell something, for many reasons.
Why I hate selling on ebay: one nonpaying buyer and another potential nonpaying buyer because they didn’t read the description before buying. I also hate how eBay has such a long time between when I open an unpaid item case and when it closes and I can relist the item.
I wish people would learn to read the description and not waste time with bids if they’re not going to pay for what they bid on.
That dragon is gorgeous! Good luck to those who enter.
The body looks really good! It’s a great base for a flightless bird doll.
iirc PYO Orientals are difficult to clean or don’t cast well. Since they’re aren’t many people at Windstone casting and cleaning (even before covid), resources have to go to other projects.
The other dragons do restock every once in a while. The best thing to do is add yourself to the waitlist for an item that you want. It helps people at Windstone know what’s in high demand and it lets you know when something is restocked.Thank you both!
I’m starting on another little commission soon which I plan to finish by next Monday, so that will be up when it’s done.
Sent my form in just now.
