I can see some alien scratching his/her/it’s head equivalent and going, “What kind of spacecraft is this anyway?”

This is Hobbs aka Spazmodeus. He was named for the mischievous stuffed tiger in “Calvin and Hobbs”. It is appropriate as you can see.

This is Gypsy – aka Superfloof. A much more refined and quiet kitty. She frequently smacks Hobbs on the head when he gets too annoying.

I think someone requested a Luna moth a while back? Here is a picture I finally downloaded from my phone.

McCaffrey and Tolkien are definitely at the top of my list. Most of my favorites are already on here. I would add R. A. McAvoy (especially Tea With the Black Dragon), Larry Niven, Patricia Briggs, Orson Scott Card and if you like military sci-fi, David Weber and John Ringo. I also like Lorna Freeman’s books, but it has been so long since the last one, I am not sure she will ever finish her series. It needs at least 1 more book to tie up loose ends. David Brin is good too. I especially liked The Postman. (If you saw the movie, don’t worry, it has little relation to the book.)

Bodine: I’m really glad you were able to get the insurance. It’s scary to not be able to find out if something is wrong.

Natasha: Great news! Here’s hoping that the lung tests out good too, but you are right about the lung cancer too. My dad had a tumor removed from his lung several years ago, and has been doing fine. Anything that has spread to a different organ is already nasty.

Very nice! You should go with a rocky desert color scheme because of the name.

Dragoneer, I agree with Bodine. Don’t give up. If you keep moving forward you never know what the future may bring. Maybe this is a push to change the direction of your life and it will bring you to something better eventually as long as you keep going. I know we are all wishing for you to have something good happen. I will pray for you and your dad.

I know you use the gypsum because it holds a lot of detail, but have you experimented with any new cast-able mediums recently? It seems to me I have seen stuff in “cold cast bronze” with a lot of detail. I think it is some sort of resin/powdered metal composite but I am not sure. Other new materials may have come out as well. Your work is so great, I would love to see more “active” poses, but I know the gypsum is too fragile. By the way, I also think a pebble baby to go with the pebble horse would be cute. Maybe a curled up one to lie next to the adult.

Thanks GardenNinja. I tried checking the identify thread, but only found the males. Also I see the old males on eBay fairly often, but no families. I will just have to keep watching.
