It’s not a test paint. It is a repaint… been seeing a lot of this lately unfortunately
It didn’t look like Windstone quality painting.

September 21, 2020 at 12:45 pm in reply to: Reports of Fake & Knock-off Windstones and general infringements #1628494There’s a mother dragon being offered right now on eBay that sounds like it might be a repaint, although the seller does not use that word. It’s titled “Windstone Pena dragon” and says it was “customized.” Maybe it’s a test paint? It doesn’t look like any I’ve seen.

Oooof! I’d love to get a Brown one but I just got smacked with a great big vet bill. Hopefully they stick around for a while.
My sympathies — I just got hit with one too. This year is bad enough already, it can leave my cat alone. I probably shouldn’t have, but I did still buy one of the new Bantams, a Peacock.

September 1, 2020 at 3:12 pm in reply to: What is your most heart attack moment with your Windstones? #1627542OK, this is making me very nervous! Fortunately, my two current cats don’t climb my book shelves — one is too old (and plump) and the other is young but not a jumper. I do keep all my Windstones on the upper shelves so he can’t just reach up and grab.
Years ago, a cat I had then knocked a large plaster gargoyle (not Windstone) off the top shelf of a free-standing bookcase. It was very high up, but he was athletic. I thought it would be too heavy for him to knock off, but he just kept nudging it until it fell — and broke into many pieces. In his defense, it was a DOG gargoyle, and fairly ugly! (I was into gargoyles in those days.)

I LOVE the idea of cougars in cat patterns — especially brown tabbies or red tabbies to match my boys!

I just received my Sand bantam. The combination of the sand, pearl and light blue is very nice.

I have no idea what will be after the grabbag hippogriffs… sometimes I just go over to the casting carts and see what’s there.
What would you folks like next as a grab bag? Choose smallish things. The sitting young unicorn is about as big as I go, just to keep shipping costs down for traders.Wolves or curlies would be nice!

I would love to see winter wolves with winter silhouettes, as Kim suggested. I missed out on the earlier wolf grab bags and want to add one to my small pebble collection.

After much pondering, a revised top 3 grail list was achieved.
1) Brown secret keeper (Holy Grail)
2) Old brown emperor
3) Purring cat, original or ebay paint, any colorI had an original orange tabby purring cat years ago that I got from ebay and loved, but had to sell when I moved out after college and money got tight. I still miss her and wish I hadn’t had to part with her!
That kitty is lovely! I hope you find it again.

#31 goes beautifully with the black gold dragons!

That’s okay, my wallet (and blood pressure) could probably use the break. 🙂

I have a Facebook account for family news and Windstone stuff, and there are days when I wonder about the Windstone part. However, I do like having access to information. 🙂
I know I miss out on a lot of posts from my nieces, but I just can’t turn over my privacy to that site.
