ParticipantI was looking for terrarium backgrounds to spruce up my snakes’ enclosures, when, much to my surprise, I found what is clearly a Windstone hyena gargoyle in the middle of this one. This seems like a clear case of infringement to me, so I sent an email to John about it.
It’s a pretty cool looking terrarium background, but you can’t just steal pictures of other people’s designs and sell them! They should have made their own lava-drooling gargoyle.

ParticipantThere’s a mother dragon being offered right now on eBay that sounds like it might be a repaint, although the seller does not use that word. It’s titled “Windstone Pena dragon” and says it was “customized.” Maybe it’s a test paint? It doesn’t look like any I’ve seen.

It looks like it was inspired by one of Ms. Melody’s prints.November 7, 2020 at 7:34 pm #1631325Dragoneer_88
ParticipantSaw this on Pinterest. Sure they changed it up a tiny bit, but it’s still pretty obvious, imo.

ParticipantHello! I was on Amazon.com when I saw this art supply set with a sketch of your Hyena Gargoyle on the packaging and includes a video of someone sketching it. The link and one of the pictures is shown below:

ParticipantThere is a blanket being offered on Etsy that shows a dragon’s head breathing fire. The dragon is definitely a Melody dragon:

ParticipantThis guy on Facebook is selling resin cat gargoyles that look like they might be recasts of Melody’s work, but I’m not sure.

ParticipantInformation about copyright infringements or possible problems should be emailed to Melody’s husband John. He handles those things. It’s OK to post them here as well but they may not be seen.

ParticipantThanks! I just emailed the 3 from above. Please keep reminding about that in this thread, I’m pretty sure I’ll forget or lose his email again.
