It doesn’t say in the store description they are retired. I would give some body pieces for a rainbow OW or Lap, so it would be amazing if you painted more. 🙂
Same, and it would be expensive body parts I’m willing to part with too, like a kidney or a good chunk of the liver!

I don’t love sushi, which is weird but it’s because I really haven’t seen any creative vegetarian sushi only veggie rolls, which makes no sense since it should be super easy. When I have more time, I want to make my own. I have a local store that sells “fish ham” which is a soy-fish like product I use for a tuNO casserole. That, shitake, and avocado sounds like heaven.
Ohhh, but I do love Inari, the bean curd pouches that are sweet with rice inside? THOSE are amazing! It’s one of the only things I feel safe eating at a sushi place because I KNOW the vegetable tempura was fried in the same oil they used for the shrimp. ICCCKKKKKKK!
I like almost anything new and different, but it’s not different enough. And I certainly prefer BVP to it. I’d buy a small one, like a curlie or fledgie, just to have the color represented in my collection, but the color doesn’t get drool all over my keyboard.

I got mine tonight, and she is adorable. She has a blue head, purple body, and a butt that is more pink than purple. There is even a cute little green mark under her neck and cheeks. Her back pattern looks like butterfly wings, and her nails and around her eyes are done in gold. That being said, I guess I am just not a poad person. She’s cute, and the detailing on her wings is amazing….but it’s just not doing anything for me. I guess there was a reason this is my first poad =P
All indoor photos, I’ll take nicer ones if anyone is interested in her. the flash makes some of her purple areas look more blue, but her body is very purple.
I fricking hate school right now. How the hell do I always manage to get one psycho teacher? I’ve managed part-time work and full-time grad school now for 4 semesters, but god it’s wearing me out.
I haven’t squeaked here for awhile, so this is entirely overdue. I saw pics of a violent flame fledgie on ebay and WOW. If you never bring back violent flame, ok I won’t die (probably…), but PLEASE paint something else bright with BLUE antiquing!!! It’s a stunning effect, and it’s so wonderfully colorful and gaudy! MOWRRRRR PLS!!!!
Got a copy of the new Kim Harrison book (A PERFECT BLOOD, available now at a bookstore near you)! I wasn’t sure that there would be a good way forward after PALE DEMON, so I was happy to see Harrison handle this one with her usual flair. 🙂
Everything Kim does is amazing :bigsmile: I’m dying already for her next book “Ever After”, which sounds like the one she promised us will take place almost entirely in the Ever After! Sigh, I still need to get the real copy of PB to do my part for getting her on the best sellers list… Didn’t you LOVE the last chapter? Al’s such a terrible, hilarious jerk!
Wow. Thanks so much for the update, but my keyboard didn’t appreciate the drool. I want everything on that blog lol :bigsmile: But the fledgling and curlie will be my top picks; they’re just amazing! I have two cousins who love bears, those baby bears will make perfect b-day gifts (if they can find a safe place where the cats can’t get to them!). I’m dying for a BVP male dragon, but I don’t have the funds for that many new pretties since I won’t be blowing my tax refund on stuff I WANT this year /cry AND I still need to find a new display case. O the hardships of collecting!!!
Saturn’s diner in Santa Cruz CA and now also in Berkeley! It’s done up like a old fashioned diner; they even have vegan shakes! They have the most awesome “burgers”, fresh made and so tasty with lots of toppings. Mmmmmmm especially the Buck Rogers…my omnivore family loves the place, and I’ve seen meat eaters tricked AFTER they’ve eaten their food! Seriously, if you’re ever in the area, you need to give it a try. It’s great food, fairly large portions, and not very expensive. And their fries are the greatest thing ever. I usually hate fries except like sweet potato fries every now and then, but these fries make you eat the whole side and not want to share with anyone!
OK, now I want to get back to Santa Cruz just to find that place! 🙂
Yes, yes you do. It’s a good chunk of blocks down main street downtown, I think it’s called Pacific? Heading away from the city hall and towards the water, like two blocks down from the bus depot and Logos, the greatest used book store ever! Ask anyone, everyone knows where it is! And they keep student hours, open until 3am!
