I hear ya–been through lots and lots of changes over the past couple of years and some of it wasn’t good. Hoping the best for you.
Glad you’re back.
I am so sorry that you have to go through this TDM. I’m with the rest and hoping the best for you. Sending you lots of hugs, prayers and positive thoughts. This situation totally sucks!! 🙁
Missed the fledgies but got a young oriental–will wait for fledgies to come back in.
These babies are adorable! Did manage to get a couple–but now to find time to paint!
My heart is broken–I have spoken to Pam a few times over the phone. We became friends when she posted after a difficult bout of her treatment and I sent her the open-eyed orange tabby. When times got tough for me, she sent me a red-eyed stained glass Poad.
I will miss her and I will miss talking with her. She was a great, great lady, kind and generous. We will miss you, Pam–may you be lifted.
I like this color because it is simple elegance. I wouldn’t mind having the orientals in this color. I know it isn’t everyone’s bag but for the few of us who love them, I think a small batch would be sufficient. You could take a tally of how many people would want one–count me in!
Oh wow– that ivory sun dragon is GORGEOUS! I love it. Shoot, if I didn’t need the money so badly, I’d offer to trade my red fire OW for it instead of selling him!
I wish they would do an LP run of these (I suppose horns are an issue) because it really is beautiful!
I totally agree–love him. Maybe we could squeek Melody for ivory sun dragons. This piece is something that really caught my eye–something that hasn’t happened in a long time. Can’t afford him at the current bids but could probably swing it if he were a store piece.
It’s been a long haul–emotionally and physically–but it’s slowing down and coming to an end. Most of my homeowrk is done, term paper turned in, oral presentation given and lab skills done. My internship package has been filled out and my instructor has faxed it to the facility of my choice. From what she says, I’m next up if anything comes up–got my paperwork done and just waiting. How I’d love to hear from them that I have an internship! Next, hopefully, employment!
My goal was to be gainfully employed by the end if this year–it isn’t over yet. So I could use all your positive thoughts and well wishes to help get this done!
Thanks everyone–you’re the greatest!
Pats, Hugs and all things comforting Ski. My 15-1/2 year old dog passed away last August and it hurts to lose a fur baby. I got mine from a rescue group when he was about 8 weeks old. I feel for you–I saw my baby slowing down as well.
Somewhere in my possession, I think I have a ceramic pair of foo dogs. My husband was going to make bookends out of them but that never happened. I thought they were Chinese dragons. They are white and I did see a pair at an antique show once. When I find them again I’ll post pictures [or have someone help me if I have trouble]. I think what I have are foo dogs but you all can be the judge.
Thank you for doing this! Love seeing the pictures of all the wonderful Poads! Good way to show everyone the details that went into these beauties!
TDM, I’m so sorry about your Dad. You have been through so much this year and you are certainly in my thoughts and prayers. I’m sending you lots of hugs and warm wishes. We are here for you.
oKAY–sort of felt that once I blew, things would start falling into place. At the time of me posting this thread, I was behind on my lab skills and just felt overwhelmed with all the stuff I needed to dp–pass these classes, get my internship papers ready, get all my homework done and of course, catch up on lab skills.
The biggest stressor was doing blood draws and back then, I had six more to do with most of the class already finished and moving on.
Well……today I finished them! Got all my homework for classes done and just need to worry about an oral presentation and term paper. These things are doable because I have control over them. Blood draws I didn’t–either you get people or you don’t. Well I found some people with some not-so-hard-to-find veins and got it done!
So I’m pretty pleased, right now. Just have a lot to do and the next stresser is getting a place to do internship–I have a facility in mind and already volunteer there, so I hope that means something to them.
For once things are starting to look up a bit and I’m thankful for it!
